A small elegant country house style restaurant serving a Modern British menu featuring locally selected and seasonal produce. Our kitchen loves a twist; you may see influences from France, Italy, North Africa, Asia and India on our menus. We are 'relaxed fine dining', come and enjoy an evening of beautifully tasty food in a very
comfortable restaurant [kindly note children must be aged 12 or over]. Pre-dinner drinks are served in one of our two lounges, dinner in the candlelit restaurant and back to the
lounges or stay at the table for coffee with petits fours.

We enjoyed our evening- the service was excellent and the living room well presented and cozy. For us the downside was the very low lighting in the dining room - it was hardly possible to see what you were eating. The food was good but at the set price not overall excellent with its rather limited menu ( mains - fish, chicken, lamb and steak). The mid quality wines were on the expensive side.

The food and service was faultless when we visited. Theres an excellent range of wines to choose from, and a good variety of choice on the menu. I would definitely come back on our next visit to the lakes.

I booked this for our wedding anniversary on the back of the reviews I had read and it didn’t disappoint. From start to finish the experience was nothing short of fabulous! The service was ‘just right’ - attentive, friendly but not over bearing. The food was well presented, portion sizes were generous and the taste was amazing. The environment was relaxing and welcoming. We will definitely be back again on our next visit to the Lakes!

The meal we had here for my husband’s 50th birthday was truly outstanding in every way. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel special and both Jonathan and Caroline were extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. We chose the Potted Shrimp and Smoked Haddock Mousseline as starters, the Rump of Lamb and Pork Fillet for mains and the Chocolate Fondant and “Cheesecake” for dessert all enjoyed with a super Rosé. The food was outstanding and such good value. Highly recommend this fabulous restaurant for any occasion; you will not be disappointed.

I dined here with my husband while in the Lake district for a break away from London. We were well accommodated, especially as we did call only a hour prior to our booked time to delay from 730pm to 8pm. Service was great, and the food lovely. It was absolute heaven to have a lovely quiet meal. 100% recommend to anyone visiting the Lakes.

We ate at Cedar Manor for our 10th wedding anniversary. The food was lovely and the service was very attentive. We had a wonderful evening and would most certainly visit again.

A haven of peace and class, away from the hoards in Bowness. Great service and pre dinner drinks. The food and wine were very high quality.
