We came here for New Year's Eve. Very busy, but our waiter patiently worked with all our special requests. I've done big family events here before, and they never disappoint.
Went for New Year's Eve dinner. Special menu had a good variety to chose from and both my wife and I chose the steak & lobster. She asked if the could substitute au gratin potatoes in lieu of the mashed that was listed and the did for a small upcharge. Waitress was very good with enough attention but not too much. Only problem we had was we were both suffering from a bad cold that obviously took some of the pleasure out of the evening.
This is apparently where all of Brea books their New Year's Eve dinner so if you're inclined-book early. The rustic interior of this restaurant decorated for the holidays does make for the perfect holiday venue. Service and food was excellent but be aware that for New Year's Eve they have a limited set menu.
It was great.
Four of us, two couples, met here for dinner. The wooden beams and the lighting made the place feel so intimate and cozy. We sat in a corner and never felt rushed. We ate, drank and talked for three hours, never feeling rushed. Our waiter, Tom, was fantastic. We had the sampler appetizer for starters. They served a basket of cheesy garlic bread that was so delicious. The dinner entrees were large sizes and we all took home leftovers. Tom said we could stay at our table for after dinner drinks. Full bar. It was wonderful, and we will definitely go here again.
Beautiful holiday decorations. Nice menu, great service, good food. One of our favorite places
noise level way too loud. conversation difficult. otherwise a lot ple e
Food was stuck in the past and was overall very mediocre. The fish special came with a risotto that was literally put on the plate with a scoop that made us feel like the meal was from a cafeteria- that was not ok for the Christmas Eve special. The restaurant itself is very pretty, but we were overall disappointed with our meal and won’t be back.
Very good good
Great for Happy Hour
I have never had a bad meal. The food is delicious! Everyone is always so friendly. One of our Favorite restaurant.
A lovely Christmas Eve dinner. The food was very good and the server helped celebrate the little ones birthday. It was appreciated.
The menu was not overwhelming, but gave us lots of interesting choices. We were greeted warmly by the hostess. Our server was attentive and helpful before during and after our meals were served. The food was delicious, the sauces were great, especially on the salmon, and it served without unnecessary delay. The desserts were scrumptious and unique.
The restaurant was very nice. The food was good. The service was very disappointing. We had 2 different servers. The first server left or went on break. She was very disinterested in service us and was in a hurry. Very poor service. The second server was better but still not what I would expect. Still very disinterested.
Great food and Paula gave us wonderful service; we'll be back. Have been craving a well made Monte Cristo and found it with Cedar Creek.
Cedar Creek is one of our go to restaurants for lunch or dinner. We go at least 6 to 8 times a year. But this evening was exceptional! It was Christmas eve-eve a busy Saturday night our reservation was for 7PM, we were seated at 6:55 in a very nice booth. Our server was MaryAnn superb in every way, attentive without being bothersome, a serving trait I admire. we had a lot to catchup with our guest for the evening. The food was exceptional my wife had the prime rib sandwich her go-to, our guest had the pot-roast which never fails and I had the large cut of prime rib. All perfectly prepared to our order. I only make the note about the size of my prime rib to give context to the following comment. In November I had my70th birthday dinner at a Fullerton staple for prime rib. The Cedar Creeks prime rib out shined the other establishment on every level, especially for value, taste, and for getting an order perfectly done medium rare. We were never rushed to turn the table. this is an exceptional establishment. I believe you can tell we were very pleased and will continue to keep coming back and telling others of our little Cedar Creek in Brea. After thought the great Debbie Ebert was playing in the lounge if you are a lover of great music check her out.
Bar service was unfriendly and extremely slow. We asked for drinks 4 times over 25 minutes and finally served. Restaurant was busy. Our server was awesome but some of the dishes served were cold when served. Overall everyone had a good time.
It's my neighborhood go-to for happy hour menu and celebratory dinners. Unfortunately our waiter wasn't great, just okay. Needed to ask a couple times for items like sugar for coffee and he didn't remember who ordered what, when there were only 2 of us.
Awesome everything!!! Always enjoy when we dine there!!
Good food and drinks
We enjoyed another office Christmas party at Cedar Creek again this year. We had a nice spot in the restaurant, the service was great and the food was excellent. We would definitely return.
Always a great place for not only special occasions but just for a nice enjoyable lunch.
We’ve gone here for years, solid dining with good food. My only complaint is it’s a little tired, they need some updating. Nicer silverware , glasses, etc. we always like sitting in the bar having dinner there, this time we enjoyed the dining area. Our server Marianne was exceptional with a charming smile.
It was an early supper for my bride’s birthday. Miguel was an excellent server. The food was prepared exactly as we had ordered. The wine matched our food and we didn’t feel hurried. We will come back again and sample the rest of the menu.
I have ate there a few times and it has always been great. Everything was just off. Very disappointed
Everything was wonderful! Friday night a week before Christmas did make parking a challenge and the noise level a little too loud for people with hearing issues. Over all it was a great experience.
Very good experience a little loud, Waitress was very friendly and did very good service.
Perfect spot for our annual sisters holiday dinner. The sea bass was excellent as was the sea and turf. We all enjoyed our meals and time.
Perfect all the way around!
When we arrived the reception was cool, never looked up our reservation and seated us. When my husband said he had requested a window seat - no response so we just sat where we were given a seat. The server told us there was a good bread but nothing was served to us with our salads or meal. No fresh ground pepper for our salads as we saw others being given these options. The meal was good but we left and didn't order dessert. The service was very slow and my husband had told them it was our anniversary when he made the reservation but no one mentioned it. This was our first visit after having Cedar Creek Inn recommended to us. We most likely won't be back.
Our company chose Cedar Creek Inn located in Brea for our holiday luncheon. The food was delicious and the service was great. The Appetizer sampler platter was delicious and the desserts we chose - Lemon Tart, Maple Creme Brulee and Chocolate Ganache Tart were outstanding. Everyone enjoyed the individual selection for their entree as well. Cedar Creek has a nice ambiance and is the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends and family or to reserve for a special occasion. Highly recommend.
I took my assistant to Cedar Creek Inn for our holiday dinner. We had a reservation at 7pm. We arrived at 6:55pm and were told that other diners were taking longer at their tables than expected and there would be a wait. We were not seated until 7:20pm. That was the only bad part of our time at Cedar Creek Inn.
Our server was a gentleman by the name of Thom. Thom was WONDERFUL! He came to our table within 5 minutes if not less of us being seated. He got our drink order, told us the special was the grilled sword fish, then went to get our drinks. He came back quickly with our drinks, then took our order. We got the Appetizer Sampler to share, that plate can be eaten as a meal all by itself, it was so big! We both ordered the surf and turf or land and sea...? Can’t remember what it’s called, with the house salad. Our food was delicious all the way around. The kitchen was super on top of things. Our appetizer sampler came out fairly quickly, there was no “lul” between the appetizers to the salads to the entree. Thom made sure our glasses were never empty for too long, if at all. He gave us time to eat our food and to chat. We never felt rushed during our meal. He brought out boxes for us when we started showing down our eating. When asked about the dessert options, he gave an honest opinion, which was greatly appreciated. He even took note when my assistant looked like she wasn’t able to finish her cheesecake, and brought another to go box for her to box that up. All without being asked.
Over-all, other than not getting our table at the time it was reserved for, it was a wonderful night. Thanks to Thom and the rest of the Cedar Creek staff! We will be back again. Happy holidays.
It was my husband’s birthday. Overall it was a good experience
We have dined here several times with various friends and it is always enjoyable.
I love coming here... With girlfriends to celebrate birthdays & Holidays, for special "date nights" with my husband, for a memorable evening with out-of-town family... The service is excellent. I've had wonderful lady servers, handsome young men servers, and ALL have been warm, welcoming, and gracious. It's nice not to feel rushed! The menu has changed, but still includes my favorites. I really appreciate having a quality restaurant nearby!
An office Christmas/Holiday lunch celebration in a festive, though a bit noisy, environment. Service was adequate; soft drinks & water could have been re-filled more often, and plates cleared quicker. Our server was friendly but apparently had many tables.
Always enjoy dinner at Cedar Creek Inn in Brea for that special occasion.
Fantastic food & Christmas décor. Our server, Maryanne, provided great service!
Great food, service and I love the ambiance. Highly recommend.
FOOD IS GREAT, SERVICE IS TOO. WE HAVE ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT PRICES WERE A BIT TOO HIGH. FOR CHIPS & FISH, A PASTA DISH, TWO SALMON DISHES AND 3 GLASSES OF WINE, $200.
Hidden Gem! First time dining here, it was incredible!
