Prime rib was fatty
Veggies were oily
Worst meal ever
Coconut cake and ice cream was great
Waitress was wonderful
Our server was awesome.
Our group hasn't met in almost 20 years and our server made our experience great.
There was no rushing us during the lunch hour.
She was exceptional as I spoke to her away from the table to pick up the check for my old friends and she completely understood what I wanted to do.
I expect to bring more friends back here.
After many years of dinners and special occasions here, I have seen a decline in quality of
food and experience over the last year.. We had a party of four for a birthday celebration
and spent $200.00 with you for the evening... When we walked in for dinner it was extremely warm and stuffy. The service was fine but the food was, so so... We had to return the beef rib because of the toughness of the meat. (A replacement was out to us in a few minutes) We requested the air to be turned on and instantly noted when the A/C went on. It was on for five minutes or so went off and never came back on.... We would have stayed longer and had after dinner beverages but it was to uncomfortable... I am sorry to leave this review but felt it was
Had a wonderful meal at Cedar Creek. It was restaurant week and the menu was varied and a great value. Food was excellent, including the dessert. Our server, Rebecca, was outstanding. Very professional, very attentive and genuinely a very nice and friendly individual. Our party of four, all had different meals and all were very delicious. We all had a great time.
The braised short used to be a larger portion, this time it was smaller. We appreciate the quick service but the negative on that was, it felt like we were a little rushed probably because it was Orange County week and there were more customers coming in.
Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance and great food. Will definitely go back, especially for the swordfish. Love the fact that there was live entertainment.
Liked the outdoor venue. Service was excellent. Food was great. Happy Hour menu was creative and inexpensive. We will definitely go there often from now on.
Great service. Nice ambiance. I really appreciated being seated at a relatively quiet table. Food--OC Restaurant Week menu--was mediocre. Regular menu might be better.
Fantastic OC Restaurant Week menu. Had always wanted to try this place since it was near by and finally got the chance with this 3 course menu. The lamb chop and Lobster/petite filet minion entrees were fantastic and the toll house dessert hit the spot.
The rack of lamb that my friend ordered done medium came out very rare so it was sent back. When it was returned the inside pieces were still very rare.
We always enjoy ourselves and food is always delicious.
Good food, reasonably priced. It's our favorite place to come just for lunch or dinner or for a special occasion. Love the ambiance, always reminds me of being in a mountain lodge with all the wood and coziness.
This was a birthday celebration. Food, service is always excellent. Very busy Saturday night so was noisy.
Debated whether or not to stay in the bar for happy hour or go into the dining room for a dinner off the menu. We usually stay for happy hour because you just cant beat it and the food is great and the prices are as well, but decided to do something different and go into the dining room instead. I ordered the special which was John Dory and was quite disappointed. The fish was very bland without flavor or seasoning and you couldn't pull it apart with a fork. I actually had to cut it and discovered it was quite chewy. So obviously extremely over cooked. I chose this dish because it came with artichoke risotto and I love risotto. Unfortunately the risotto came in a ball that you had to cut into. I am used to a creamy version and this tasted like a starch ball. I hate to complain but the dish was $35 and I did not eat it so the server noticed and quickly took it off the bill. I just wish one of the managers had addressed the problem. I will go back but stay in the bar for happy hour.
Such an enjoyable experience! beautiful setting, delicious food, and great service! Thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will be returning!
We enjoyed our meal
Food, ambiance and wait staff were, as always superb.
Upon entering, the hostess staff was very friendly and helpful. However, It was an off night for our server.
We had a great time, they gave us a corner booth. Service great, for excellent
We had a wonderful dinner. It is a little noisey. The restaurant is very busy.
Wonderful food! The salmon is perfect! Decent wine list and the cocktails were delicious!
Friends reunion and it was their first time, they loved it.
Great salmon & steak. Responsive & attentive staff & waiter.
Dinner was excellent, perfect round table for a party of 6, waiter very attentive...and prices reasonable. Will go again..
Always have had friendly service and servers are responsive to your needs. We had Malloree-164 the last 2 occasions at the Brea location and she has been excellent.
Always a great dinner or lunch. we had Beth as our server and again she was great! Attentive without offensive. She is always aware of the guest needs. Grateful for a well trained staff .
Pot-roast for my wife and prime rib for myself. Always enough for lunch the next day. Grateful to have this little gem right here in Brea.
When ever I go to Cedar Creek with my wife the food is always amazing and the service is on point.
Food & service were great. Upon arrival, there were no parking spaces close to the door. I have a handicap placard; and asked the valet (a first here) if there were any handicap spots. He said do not worry - I will park your car and there is no charge; just have the ticket validated. When I asked the server for validation, she said she had never hears if that. I gave the ticket to the valet when we left, and he said, "that will be $6." I told him what the other valet told me when I arrived, but he didn't know anything about it. If there is a charge for valet parking, the customer should be told about it upon arrival!
We've been to Cedar Creek Inn before and had great food and great service but prior to last Saturday, it had been a few years since we last visited.
It was a busy night (Saturday after Valentine's Day) so the restaurant was full. Noise level was a bit higher than in the past and the very courteous staff were fine but they were busy and not as attentive as in the past. This is all very understandable.
Unfortunately, the food also seemed not up to the Cedar Creek standard I recall. My wife and I both had the Filet Mignon which was very good, the soup and potatoes side dishes were below average while the green beans were excellent and helped redeem the sides. Bread pudding for dessert was average.
This experience would have been a good value at $90-$100 out the door, but at $160, I expect more.
I had finished a long and exhausting work day, and wanted to pamper myself with a relaxing treat of dinner at a special restaurant. Cedar Creek Inn is on my very short list of special restaurants. I was in the area and made a last minute reservation. I dined alone, as my husband was out of town. I had a great dining experience. The restaurant is beautiful, from the front entrance to the inside. I was seated immediately, which was nice. I started with a salad and it was very good. The salad was mixed field greens tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette with
apples, candied walnuts, and bleu cheese. I selected the pot roast for my entree, and the sides were also delicious - braised cabbage, mashed potatoes, applesauce, and creamed horseradish. I topped the evening off with a slice of warm toll house pie and vanilla ice cream. A perfect way to end a stressful day! My server, Josh, was friendly and efficient, which also contributed to a relaxing evening.
1st Time attendee and was pleasantly surprised with the location, service, food, and ambience and besides, they have outside tables that will be wonderful in spring, summer, fall.. A very nice experience and will come back
Crowded and lively Friday night crowd. Food was very good and service was ok. There were extended periods of time between waiter visits and it was a chore to keep drinks from going dry.
“They have karaoke here!”
“Um…I think that’s just the guy who’s singing…”
Good time except I did agree with a few couples in there. We had made our reservation over a month in advance then were sat at a table in between lots of other tables. Just felt that we should have been at the booth where there was a little more room etc. other than that it was a good time I guess
One of our favorite restaurants. Excellent food, service and ambiance.
Valentine Dinner was great, they had a preselected menu which had a lot of variety, we were seated very close to our reservation, our server was attentive, they had a special Valentine drink which we selected, and chocolate dipped strawberries for parting desert. Cedar Creek is one of our favorite restaurants.
Our favorite table at the bar was available! Kerri is a great server.
Daughter and boyfriend Valentine’s Day dinner. They had a lovely time.
One of our very favorite places to eat.
I have to commend the manager of this restaurant . We dined on Valentine’s Day , defiantly not the best day for dining out. We were seated on time, nice table, good service and great food. What more could we ask for.
