Cedar Creek Inn - Brea
Food was fantastic.
Customer service was 2nd to none.
We will definitely be returning customers!
Our go to place for a nice dining experience. The food, service and entertainment are all outstanding.
Is it just me or does the Salmon get better each time we visit? We used open table for both immediate and future reservations.
Great dinner here on a sunny Friday. Thom was cordial and knew our favorites. Kindness flows here like a fountain.
Grateful for Cedar Creek Inn and the happy memories made often. Breadsticks are delicious. Loved our table in the light.
Great food in a pleasant atmosphere where you can have a great meal and enjoy your company with some great wine.
The food was excellent, I had the Salmon and it was cooked to perfection. The service was great, Thom was our server and very attentive, made for a very enjoyable dinner.
This is a very nice restaurant inside with an outside patio. The food however was just so so with very high prices for lunch/brunch. I had an ok chicken salad sandwich that came with a small side of fruit. Something you would pay about $10 for and it was almost double that. Not worth the price. However our waiter was very good.
Great food & nice portions. We ordered calamari appetizer which was recommended by friends, it was excellent and fed our party of 5 with a little leftover to take home. We had braised short ribs, prime rib, seafood fettuccine & meatloaf- all were delicious. Desserts were big enough that you could share-coconut cake w/vanilla ice cream, lemon tart, tollhouse pie w/vanilla ice cream.
The restaurant was very nice with a warm ambiance. The food was very good and the prices were excellent. Service was good but was disappointed that do not recognize any type of anniversary or birthday celebrations. Would recommend to most friends.
We meet there 5-6 times a year. It's equal distance from our homes. Always great food. This time we were chatting up the hostess, and we asked her for the best looking waitress! (All in jest) so she sent us a guy! Maybe that was her joke on us or she thought he WAS the best looking waitress!
Nice ambiance for a date. Really quick service! Very pleasant and attentive staff.
Excellent in all regards.
Nathaniel was our server and we were given a preferential table in the light—thank you! Cedar Creek was at capacity today. So many happy and healthy Brean’s dining.
We enjoyed conversation on statistics relating to age and mortality and how all factors have a play. Caught up on recent news about our great President.
Learned the oldest living people were in Japan, Italy and Loma Linda, California. Talked about the Brady Bunch house (being remodeled). Delicious meal and many laughs.
Great experience! Have been coming here for 20 years.
I ordered rare prime rib. It wasn’t rare and was dry and not very favorable. I didn’t say anything as it was my friend’s birthday and wanted it to go well. I have been there before and the prior entries I had were all good. Service was excellent. I would go back but not order the prime rib.
My girlfriends and I go there for all our birthdays and holidays. Menu getting kind of boring, and one special a day is not the greatest. Will no doubt try to find an alternating restaurant from now on. Service is usually very nice though.
Always great service and food here! It is a little noisy, because everyone is enjoying themselves! Recommend special events here!
The service is weak. The food is average for the price. I can cook fish better than the swordfish I ordered.
I had to send my drink back because it tasted like it was made wrong, or that possibly the cranberry juice went bad. I was treated poorly by the the server. She argued with me telling me the bartenders were wonderful. I told the server I had been to the restaurant before and really look forward to the drinks. Their drinks had been wonderful in the past The server continued to mock me the rest of the evening including saying “here’s the dessert menu. I’m sure already know it since you’ve been here before.”
Sad thing about choosing Cedar Creek Inn that night - it was husband’s birthday.
Nice venue for a business lunch, friendly staff and not too loud. Food is great!
I had a very enjoyable birthday lunch. The appetizer calamari was outstanding. My salmon entree was very good, but green beans rather fibrous and stringy. The free birthday sundae was really pathetic, the worse I've seen in a fancy restaurant! But over all had a good experience.
Not like it used to be.
It was noisy inside, cold inside.
The food was just "ok", shrimp was tough, tenderloin was juicy and delicious, sauteed green beans were too crunchy and cold, porcini crusted filet mignon was smothered in so much pepper, had to wipe off with a napkin, then scrape it off with a knife. Dessert was delicious.
Overall, not worth the price any more. Can get a better meal for a third of the price at Red Robin or Mimi's Cafe.
We had a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner at Cedar Creek. Everything was very nice. The food was fantastic and service was top notch. We saved room for the coconut cake and were so happy we did. It was AMAZING. We will be back soon for another delicious dinner.
First - I like the food at Cedar Creek Inn - but this will be our last Mother's day here.
Seating was on the patio on folding chairs - not comfortable after 30 minutes.
Service was terrible but I do feel bad for the server, maybe not experienced enough.
Asked for ice tea with lots of lemon - drink showed up with one lemon, waiter disappeared for 15 minutes and reminded him about the lemons. The appetizer comes out - no small plates on the table - had to ask for the plates. We were a party of four - waiter brings me my plate of lemons and only three appetizer plates.
We all order soup - soup comes out - no spoons - had to waive over another waiter to get the spoons.
Entrees come out - this time no forks - they were picked up with the appetizers. Again, had to flag down a waiter for help - then our waiter shows up to see if everything is OK - I request a refill on the ice tea - he shows up 15 minutes with the tea.
We order coffee and desert - coffee shows up - no spoons, 10 minutes later the cake is served - cold coffee - still no spoons and now, no forks. Had to flag down the manager to find out what was happening.
The dinner ends when I take a hard candy from the reception area and one, unwrapped, is sticking to my finger. I show it to the receptionist who says - "Oh, there are always a bunch of unwrapped candies in the dish - that's the way they come." I said "who would eat an unwrapped candy? that's gross and should be a health code violation" and suggested they throw out the unwrapped candies.
Are you seeing a pattern here?
Sitting on folding chairs with lousy service is not the way to have a $250 dinner on Mother's Day. Again I love the food and have had some great experiences at Cedar Creek - but after this - I don't know.
on mothers dayI ordered the eggs Benedict had to send back because the eggs were over cooked, they came back excatly the same but this time the muffin was so hard and crisp making it difficult to cut and chew, think they just gave me the same muffin over toasted with new eggs that weren't cooked the why I ordered them. Please teach your chef how to properly prepare eggs Benedict. my husbands and daughters orders were fine
Went for Mother's Day Brunch and Cedar Creek exceeded our expectations! We were seated promptly at our designated reservation time by a highly energetic, frendly, and happy staff. I'm in a wheelchair for the next few months and the staff made every effort to accommodate me. The food itself was perfect! All excellently cooked with obvious care; the presentation of each plate was perfect. Thank you Cedar Creek Brea! I will definitely be back.
Busy Mother’s Day with limited menu. Server wouldn’t bring our table a bread basket. Said it wasn’t available but all tables around us had one and there were bread plates on the table too. Like pulling teeth to get water and iced tea refills. Not normal for a restaurant of this caliber.
We were seated in the outdoor patio in the front of the restaurant. It was pleasant and relaxing. Food was excellent and service was impeccable.
Great food and service as always even though it was very busy!
The food was to die for! It’s a must try ! Filet mignon melts in your mouth!
Server acted aloof had to come back to ask me what wine I ordered. At the end of the meal I asked for a cappuccino, but got decaf coffee instead.
We eat at Cedar Creek often. One of our favorite restaurants. We even order salads for take out when we don’t feel like going out to eat.
Will return to enjoy again.
Waiter Joshua was superb. I ordered a medium filet mignon and was brought a well done filet mignon.
After I cut into it, but before I could draw it to the waiter's attention he walked by, saw the meat and confirmed that I had ordered medium. He replaced the dish within 90 seconds without being requested to do so.
He inquired about my glass of cabernet which I was not crazy about and asked if I would like a replacement. I suggested a different cabernet. He brought back two samples - one of the cabernet and a glass of his favorite red that Cedar Creek offers. I sampled them both and his choice was better. He even told me that I could pick up a case at Costco for a very reasonable price.
What could have been a very disappointing meal was an excellent one instead due to our waiter.
Wonderful service. Fabulous food! Exactly as expected. This place is always great!
The ambiance was nice, but the tabletop felt dirty. They no longer use tablecloths and the finishing on the tables are rubbing off. I would expect a restaurant that was well thought of as fine dining should have the same feel of quality in their seating areas. Instead it felt more like a coffee shop table that was not kept clean. With that said, the food and service was good.
Party of 5 all had excellent meals. Salmon and mashed potatoes with green beans, perfectly prepared. French dip, excellent. BLT with kale salad, delicious and finally fish and chips, perfect. Our server was wonderful, we celebrated birthdays and she brought both of them desserts and sang. Everything was excellent.
Great restaurant. Food and staff are excellent
The service was top notch, the soup was cold and to much dressing in ceasar salad. I will be back because of your staff their great, took care of every issue there was.
Excellent experience. Food was delicious and service was great.
We love our Friday’s at Cedar Creek. Waiter Tom is great.
