Cedar Creek Inn - Brea
We have an exquisite private dining room that seats up to 18 people as well as a fabulous enclosed patios that can host private groups of up to 120 guests.
Have eaten there before. The food is excellent and the service is very good. The staff is friendly and is always there to refill drinks and inquire if they can get anything. Good variety of food items and each visit was always enjoyable.
Service was great, as was the food.
We were early for our reservation and were able to he seated early wirh no problems.
The Valentines menu was great. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass which was wonderful and I had the Filet Mignon. The food came out quickly and hot. We had a great dinner and look forward to eating here again.
2 in the party were first timers. They liked the food & service.
It was a wonderful and lovely experience everything was perfect
We made reservations for dinner but decided to seat at the bar area and enjoyed the music and Happy Hour. We enjoyed our dinner at the bar as well. Overall experience was Wonderful!
My husband and I love this restaurant and the food. At this visit, we ordered from the prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day weekend and the food was simply fabulous and prepared perfectly!! The service was excellent, food was served hot, and our waiter, Josh, was very attentive. However, we are definitely disappointed that this restaurant has now started to add a surcharge, if you pay with a credit card! What's that all about?? I assume many people will begin to deduct their surcharge from the servers' tips. Cedar Creek Inn Brea should be ashamed of their greediness. Their food is not inexpensive. Our bill for two people was close to $200!!
It was a very nice place for a first date. I went the day after Valentines and they were still doing a special menu. It was nice but would have wanted to see a full menu.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner. The only negative was we felt a little rushed. Our entrees were delivered, but, we hadn't finished our salads.
We went here for Valentine's Day. The place was decorated nicely. Since it was Valentine's Day, there was a preset menu & the price was higher than normal(but that was kind of expected) . You were limited on your food selection. I ordered the rack of lamb and my wife had the jumbo shrimp prawns. The portions were on the small side but they were delicious. The server was very nice & attentive to our needs. The only thing that bother me was a 3% PROCESSING FEE for using credit card. Thus was not on the website when I research the place. I also was not informed of this when I made the reservation. We were first aware of it when the menu was given to us. We didn't bring enough cash, so we were forced to pay it. It was good but I don't think we will going back anytime soon.
Valentine’s Day. So crowded, even though I made a reservation a month+ in advance. But - we only waited about three minutes and were shown to our table.
HOWEVER - I had to stop a waiter after 15 minutes to ask if he was our waiter, or if he could send our waiter over, as NO ONE had come to the table since we sat down. He said he was not, but would take our orders. We ordered wine and water, and he went to get it. Dropped the water off and my wife’s had something ‘solid’ stuck to the outside of the glass, so we had to wait until he brought the wine before she could have any water (in a new glass).
After that, he stayed as our waiter and did a great job. The food was excellent, in spite of some items I could not eat (weird diet).
Great food/great service. As a long time customer, I was surprised to be charged a fee to use a credit card. Seems unusual in our cash-less society. This causes me to re-think this establishment, although it is a great restaurant.
Prime rib was ordered rare, it came medium rare or slightly above, it was pink but very dry with little to no flavor. It's the 1st time this has happened as I have had plenty prime rib before, However, I found it a little disappointing this time to spend $39 on a piece of meat that was overcooked.
I should have complained and return it, but I don't usually do that.
However, next time I will.
Just wasn't our best night there. I ordered lobster, my husband ordered seabass, it wasn's quite right Just seemed like they rushed through the cooking stage. Sea Bass didn't flake when you cut into it. The waitress seemec more interested in other tables.
We were not impressed by the food so we order desserts...nahhhh, not impressed at all! Very pricey for sure.
Great lunch option. Will be back!
Food, service and ambience are very good and we are always satisfied when we dine at Cedar Creek. The experience can be enhanced with a cocktail in the bar area where has
Had to park by soup plantation, area packed. Husband dinner bland, mine was good.
I had specified a birthday and no mentioned was made. We were on the patio and service was very hit and miss. This has always been a great place to celebrate special occasions, unfortunately not this time.
Just an awesome place to have a nice dinner. Amazing service, food and ambiance. A homerun everytime.
Wonderful; sat inside in booth; private; prompt seating with reservation; service excellent; food excellent
I was wearing my parka while dining - I am always cold. The manager noticed and turned the temperature up for me.
Our FAV place to meet with the girls to catch up!!
We have dined at Cedar Creek numerous times because we usually enjoy the ambiance, service, food and drinks. On this occasion we chose to use our dining reward there to celebrate my birthday. The host gave us a friendly greeting, including a birthday wish.
Unfortunately, the dining room was very warm. This does tend to be an issue at this location, with the temperature being too warm or too cold. It's too bad because the architectural design is quite lovely.
The calamari is always "the best," including the jalapeno tartar sauce. My husband raved about his Old Fashioned. The service was rushed. Our food came to our table before I finished my soup. We had more of a "diner" experience than a fine dining experience on this booking. I guess they also don't do the whole birthday candle ritual if you celebrate here. To make matters more uncomfortable, our server told us they did not honor Open Table rewards. She said she spoke to her manager as well. Once I gave her my phone with my O.T. app opened, she took my phone to her manager and then came back and said they took care of it. There was no apology from server or manager for the stressful experience. It was not the Cedar Creek standard we have come to expect and we left disappointed.
We eat there 2-3 times per month. Service is excellent Food is always good. Table ready when requested.
Had a business meeting and the waiter gave us the time and room we needed and when the food was served it had great presentation and timely waiter interaction. My guest was very pleased--thank you !
Please create new menu items. Getting bored with regular menu. Please add new seasonal choices
Fantastic dinner and phenomenal service!
All was good but pretty disappointed in the Bloody Mary I was served. Tasted like a glass of tomato juice. Everything else was great.
We had a great dinner then moved over to the bar for a night cap. There was a nice duo playing piano and singing. Great songs and the first dance with my girlfriend.
I would recommend to a friend, but I would make sure they knew that it can be loud. The only disappointment was they asked if we were celebrating a special date when I booked the reservation and I said it was our 45 wedding anniversary. Nothing special was done or mention about it. I guess they forgot or were to busy to remember it. They didn't forget to charge us for bringing our special wine $20.00.
Could not find my reservation at first. Very odd
Sat in bar. Entertainment was a delight
Enjoyable evening. Waiter was the best.
Always good and a very pretty settind. Always enjoy our visit
We are frequent patrons to Cedar Creek for years and this one was not good. The service was fain and the kitchen appeared way off in serving. We had to wait considerable amount of time while the restaurant was basically half full... I understand the restaurant is possibly under new management, and if that is true and the service level remains same going forward. The level of valued patrons will be in the toilet.
Not sure what is going on, but last Thursdays visit on my wife birthday of all days was miserable
Took my wife (A.K.A my best girl) out to a birthday dinner, just for us two. The dinner and our server Tom made the evening for us. Brie Pecan stuffed Chicken and Angus Prime Rib were "To die for"
We were "Stuffed"
Then Tom brought a complimentary dessert. OMG! Triple layer chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream and Raspberry sauce drizzled all over it.
The food and service is always excellent at Cedar Creek Inn Brea and this visit was no exception. Special kudos to our server, Shelly. She is always extra attentive, friendly and simply goes the extra mile to make your dining experience the best.
