Cedar Creek Inn - Brea
We have an exquisite private dining room that seats up to 18 people as well as a fabulous enclosed patios that can host private groups of up to 120 guests.
Cedar Creek is one of my favorite restaurants. We had the short ribs and cedar planked salmon and they were both delicious. I can't wait to go there again.
Our young waitress, whose name I forgot and it wasn't on the receipt, was very nice, courteous, friendly and efficient. I had delicious short ribs and my nephew had an excellent Medium rare NY steak. We both had the outstanding Lobster Bisque. The price of our dinners was very reasonable.
This was a wonderful place to meet with friends. The booths are spacious, and the waiters are attentive! And the food was excellent.
We had a wonderful lunch! We both had salads that were delicious and fresh. Cedar Creek has always been one of my favorites!
Relaxing atmosphere. Bar area is separate with entertainment, if desired.
The food was delicious, but the service was just fair. We were there, celebrating our 54th anniversary and it wasn’t acknowledged. I thought for sure, something would’ve been done.
Nothing to complain
We were here during OC restaurant week for their special lunch menu. Food and service was good, however, we were surprised to learn that paying with a credit card incurs a 3% charge. This is, of course, in addition to the tax and gratuity. Is this a coming trend?
As usual, Cedar Creek is one of the best restaurants located in Brea and Orange County. The service is always excellent because you see the genuine kindness via all the staff that work there starting with the front desk, servers, etc. I brought my co-workers about two months ago to celebrate one of the co-worker's retirement, and that experience was top notch too. As we were preparing to send off another co-worker for her retirement, I received an e-mail about the Orange County Restaurant week. Perfect timing. I invited two of my co-workers to join me to celebrate one of their retirement and it was perfect. They both loved the experience too! Thank you!
We went for the Orange County rest week and food choices were delicious and great value. Always quiet so you don't have to yell to talk. Always great service!
Been to CC many times, yet this time I was disappointed with both the food and service. We came in for restaurant week, where they have a great menu to choose from. I chose the Cedar Plank Salmon, my friend had the Marcy Salad. The potato’s were dry and pasty, and the lettuce for the salad was wilted. Service was abrupt. Took an extended amount of time to receive our drinks and then the food service was rushed. All in all disappointed in the overall experience this time, but I will be back to give em another shot before I call it quits.
Delicious meal from the special OC Restaurant week menu with a most tasty "featured" cocktail to accompany the meal.
I asked for a the best booth available so I could talk with specials friends. I got what I asked for. Service was great and the food never disappoints.
This was our first time visiting Cedar Creek. The fried shrimp appetizer was fried a bit too long. The house salad was ok, but would be better with tomatoes, red onion, croutons, etc. The John Dory was ok, but not great. The Artichoke Risotto was pretty bland and sticky. The green beans were very tasty and cooked perfectly. My wife’s filet mignon was ok, not great. The 3 cheese potato side was not tasty at all.
If we ever decide to give Cedar Creek another chance, I will try the strip steak, garlic mashed and green beans.
Our waiter was great, I believe him name was Tom. Very nice guy and helpful.
Would you recommend Cedar Creek Inn to a friend, I would share my experience with them and they can decide for themselves.
It is a nice restaurant with good food and friendly personnel. It is a little pricey for a casual lunch.
Great , fantastic as always
The food was fabulous.the service was extremely professional.the lamb chops were out of this world.
We love this restaurant and went their with friends to celebrate my wife's birthday. We informed Open Table about this 77th birthday.
When we arrived at the restaurant.....they confirmed to me the reservation and that we were celebrating this birthday.
Unfortunately, they people who greeted us never told the wait staff.........and as the meal finished, I realized that this birthday celebration was not going to take place.
When I left, I told them about this and they came me a cursory one word answer "sorry."
I told them that this did not put them in a good light with me.
Enjoyed sitting on the patio as it was warm enough. However they charged us a $20.00 corkage fee for a screw top bottle of wine that we brought, opened and poured ourselves. Food was great and menu has added some new items.
Really a nice restaurant, the prime rib is outstanding the lamb chops with the wine reduction was incredible. Service was perfect
Food quality very good, but service poor and short-staffed.
Pre-dinner drinks in bar excellent! Warm and cozy with live music.
Great food and service! We were there late in the afternoon and the restaurant was very dark!!
Food was very good, a lot of choices and lots of dessert offerings.
Plate #1: dinner salad, the lettuce was old, brown and wilted. It did not appear or taste fresh.
Plate#2: pot roast, stringy, tasteless and full of fat, the red cabbage was soggy and tasted old, as if it had been around for a while.
Plate #3: pork chops, the only meal that was served that seemed to be fresh.
The 3% additional credit card charges placed on the check was also a slap in the face. Interesting that you raise your prices and afterward add an additional charge for normal business expenses. Overall not the pleasant experience that we expected on booking this reservation. With the food being less then fresh and tasty and then the extra 3% charges, it will probably be a long while before we return. I’m sure there are other nice restaurants in the area that have fresh tasty food without gouging so deeply into our wallets.
Have eaten there before. The food is excellent and the service is very good. The staff is friendly and is always there to refill drinks and inquire if they can get anything. Good variety of food items and each visit was always enjoyable.
Service was great, as was the food.
We were early for our reservation and were able to he seated early wirh no problems.
The Valentines menu was great. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass which was wonderful and I had the Filet Mignon. The food came out quickly and hot. We had a great dinner and look forward to eating here again.
2 in the party were first timers. They liked the food & service.
It was a wonderful and lovely experience everything was perfect
We made reservations for dinner but decided to seat at the bar area and enjoyed the music and Happy Hour. We enjoyed our dinner at the bar as well. Overall experience was Wonderful!
My husband and I love this restaurant and the food. At this visit, we ordered from the prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day weekend and the food was simply fabulous and prepared perfectly!! The service was excellent, food was served hot, and our waiter, Josh, was very attentive. However, we are definitely disappointed that this restaurant has now started to add a surcharge, if you pay with a credit card! What's that all about?? I assume many people will begin to deduct their surcharge from the servers' tips. Cedar Creek Inn Brea should be ashamed of their greediness. Their food is not inexpensive. Our bill for two people was close to $200!!
It was a very nice place for a first date. I went the day after Valentines and they were still doing a special menu. It was nice but would have wanted to see a full menu.
Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our Valentine's Day dinner. The only negative was we felt a little rushed. Our entrees were delivered, but, we hadn't finished our salads.
We went here for Valentine's Day. The place was decorated nicely. Since it was Valentine's Day, there was a preset menu & the price was higher than normal(but that was kind of expected) . You were limited on your food selection. I ordered the rack of lamb and my wife had the jumbo shrimp prawns. The portions were on the small side but they were delicious. The server was very nice & attentive to our needs. The only thing that bother me was a 3% PROCESSING FEE for using credit card. Thus was not on the website when I research the place. I also was not informed of this when I made the reservation. We were first aware of it when the menu was given to us. We didn't bring enough cash, so we were forced to pay it. It was good but I don't think we will going back anytime soon.
Valentine’s Day. So crowded, even though I made a reservation a month+ in advance. But - we only waited about three minutes and were shown to our table.
HOWEVER - I had to stop a waiter after 15 minutes to ask if he was our waiter, or if he could send our waiter over, as NO ONE had come to the table since we sat down. He said he was not, but would take our orders. We ordered wine and water, and he went to get it. Dropped the water off and my wife’s had something ‘solid’ stuck to the outside of the glass, so we had to wait until he brought the wine before she could have any water (in a new glass).
After that, he stayed as our waiter and did a great job. The food was excellent, in spite of some items I could not eat (weird diet).
Great food/great service. As a long time customer, I was surprised to be charged a fee to use a credit card. Seems unusual in our cash-less society. This causes me to re-think this establishment, although it is a great restaurant.
Prime rib was ordered rare, it came medium rare or slightly above, it was pink but very dry with little to no flavor. It's the 1st time this has happened as I have had plenty prime rib before, However, I found it a little disappointing this time to spend $39 on a piece of meat that was overcooked.
I should have complained and return it, but I don't usually do that.
However, next time I will.
