Dinner is always great. Brunch not so much. The tacos were a bit bland. The mimosas were tiny. And not everyone wants fried chicken with their waffles.
OMG- the Grilled Red Fish and Rice Pilaf was outstanding! So good I’m still thinking about it. My husband ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and he said his was perfect! 👍👍
The bartender was great. The drinks were good. The zucchini was really greasy but the sauce with it was wonderful
Love this place but experience was interrupted by a newborn that would stop screaming and other kids milling around. I think kids/babies are great but sometimes its best to leave the kids at home. I don't remember there being that many disruptive kids. Doof was ok. New chef didn't get it right. Had to send Tagatelli back to be remade. Blane, watery and not rich and delicious as remembered. New dish was better but not to what it was before. I love this neighbored place and want it to be 4 stars and limited children roaming around.
A great neighborhood experience. Food is good, Service is good and it has a good happy hour.
Brussels sprouts are beer were great. It was hot in the restaurant and we had to wait half an hour past our reservation time to get a table
Our server was awesome
It was awesome!
Stopped in for lunch with a couple of girlfriends. This place is Lovely and quaint. The food and service was great. The drinks were awesome i will be back
Air conditioning was terrible! Sweating!!
Nice casual community restaurant. Great service, even from a guy who said it was his first day!! Attentive but not overbearing. They happily turned a TV to a game we wanted to watch, kept our water glasses full, food was appropriate temp and came out quickly, even with a crowd.
They don’t have/serve sparkling rose. That was the only thing I wanted to drink. The deviled eggs were delicious.
Great neighborhood restaurant... good food, excellent service and you can have a conversation with your fellow diners
Great food and service! We had made reservations, though, so we didn’t have to wait long to get it.
I had a birthday brunch and everyone ordered roasted potatoes and right before our order came out we were informed there were none left. Then my pancakes came out burnt. It was just not the best experience for a gathering. I was disappointed.
Great local food restaurant every neighborhood should have one.
We always enjoy Cedar and Vine. The food and service are consistently good.
Loved the chicken stack for brunch! And cocktails are always great here...
I'm an infrequent diner-outer, because I'm such a good cook! And I know I should vary my destinations, but I seem to always gravitate to Cedar and Vine. I love the menu..and love that my favorites are all there. It feels intimate and not sports-bar-like. I really like that. I keep going back, bringing someone different every time!
We went before the dinner rush. The sever took the time to explain all the dishes. Great service and all the food was the correct temp.
Food was not very good. Crab dip tasted funny. Burger and caesar were mediocre at best. Service was great!
Ran our of steak, no specials, but the food we had was pretty good. One thing that could be improved is the noise level on the patio. Second time in a row we’ve been here when the patio noise level has been distracting.
Great neighborhood bistro with great food at very reasonable prices.
This was my first time at C&V and very much enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant was great. FLOR was amazing!!! My brother in law really enjoyed his drink and was surprised when Flor said she’d made it herself. Most definitely coming back to see C&V.
The service was friendly and attentive.
The 5-spice ribs were good but everything was downhill after that.
The crispy zucchini lacked the zucchini. The pieces of zucchini were so thin or stringy and the breading was so thick that it felt like eating crispy chunks of batter that oozed grease. Despite adding salt and pepper, they lacked any taste.
We ordered the Farro Bowl with chicken. It was served without the chicken and the chef forgot to add the mushrooms. The dish had such potential but disappointed because I had practically finished the dish by the time the chicken was delivered.
The staff didn’t charge for the entree and did a good job trying to make up for the food being so unsatisfying. It is sad that a menu full of such promise left us regretting the decision to try something not on our normal rotation.
We had not ever tried this restaurant before, but heard good reviews. I tried to book outside seating on the Open Table website, but it was not showing outdoor as an option; so, I called the restaurant to inquire about seating options. I was told, by Justin, to go ahead and book, and add in the notes, that we were requesting outside/patio seating. I did as suggested. I imagined we would wait a little bit, for outside, after arriving.
When we arrived on time for our reservation, we were told it would be a few minutes for a table to open on the patio...45 mins.+ later, the owner finally went to the table we were waiting on to clear, and took a 2-top away to try to get us seated. We were then put at the back of the patio, furthest from the open air part. Urghh! She did say that we could move to that table if the party ever decided to exit-stage-left...based on where we ended up, and the gaggle of gals next to us, we opted for the move 5-10 minutes later!
Once finally settled, over an hour later, the service was fine and friendly, the food just ok. The drinks were good. All-in-all, the owner tried to make-up for the lengthy wait, which was really nice, but we already had salt-in-the-wound. We wanted to really want to bring friends back. We may, but we don’t need to hurry.
Someone parked a large beer or service truck next to the patio area and left it running which meant our table had to yell to hear each other for the last 30 minutes of our meal. Also we reserved a table for 8 outside and all that was left was a high top which is problematic for those who have difficulty moving (me) and for short people (also me). My feet were dangling like a little kid so my legs were sore after our dinner.
The meal felt very rushed. We were still working on our appetizer and first round of drinks when the entree came out. For our whole meal we were only there for 50 minutes. We were hoping for a slower paced experience. We probably would have spent more on alcohol if it didn’t feel so rushed.
Easter lunch with the family. Patio with play area was great. Our server was really sweet and great to the kids!
It was my first time at Cedar & Vine. Jason was our server, and he was great! I got the special (panko-crusted filet of sole) and added roasted fingerling potatoes. Everything was great, but the potatoes were a little bland. My guest got the Atlantic Salmon w/ Farro. Excellent. I will definitely be going back. Great menu and ambience for a neighborhood spot!
Quick and friendly service. Great recommendations and perfect level of attentiveness
The chicken on the Brick Chicken was awful! Thigh meat tasted awful and was grisly.
Great local neighborhood haunt. Really good food and nice full bar.
entree's we good but pretty average. An expanded menu would be nice. Took about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order. After that service was pretty good.
Have eaten here before, and it was good. Brought a friend today, and the food was not very good at all. Patty melt wasn’t tasty, and the burger had a runny egg. Very embarrassed!
One of my favorite places! Good food and ambiance.
Will definitely book again!
The service was excellent, food and drinks were delicious. Thanks for making a much needed date night very enjoyable.
