A lavish European dining experience, serving some of Melbourne’s finest Italian cuisine. Designed as a sister restaurant to the original Cecconi’s in Flinders Lane, our second venue brings a touch of luxury, refinement and ‘buonissimo’ to Melbourne’s inner-east enclave.

Inspired by its heritage in Italy’s northern regions, and the masters of Italian design, our Toorak venue offers a modern evolution of classic European dining, with a strong Melbourne sensibility. A journey of intimate spaces, luxurious finishes, bespoke detailing and sculptural forms.

Cecconi’s Toorak adds a contemporary touch to Melbourne’s culinary landscape, whilst maintaining the high-end Italian hospitality that has made Cecconi’s a Melbourne dining institution for more than twenty years.

    In a word we were disappointed! There was no welcoming, sense of arrival as we were left waiting at the reception area too long, especially as the bar person could see us standing there & then a woman rushed over & abruptly told us to join her at the bar so she could check the reservations; her offer of a selection of tables was thoughtful & appreciated but, it was not busy! The waiter that we had most to do with, warmed up during the course of the evening & was good, the food was so, so...My mistake however, I think I'm done with being able to look into kitchens at establishments of a higher standard, with a view of the dishwashing station & the roster on the wall, it certainly wasn't riveting viewing & personally, I think it could ALL be left behind closed doors in your venue especially as it is a beautiful dining room! If you drive a nice car, you don't cruise around with the bonnet up so folks can see the engine! Finally, we felt that the staff were more interested in chatting & having a laugh amongst each other not that they were neglectful; they could just be a bit slicker! An $$$ evening & ALL a bit ho hum to be honest...A great fit out in the toilets though! Anyway, I have dined with Cecconi's when at Crown & in Flinders Lane but doubt I will be back to Toorak...you asked!
