Cecconi's Miami Beach (fka Soho Beach House - Cecconi's) Ratings and Reviews
Not a great start to the evening as they tried to seat us at a table right at the front door. Which we refused, particularly as I had made the reservation weeks in advance. Check in with the Host was totally underwhelming. The good news that after that the service was exceptional (Valentino). The food was good but could have had more flavour.
Nice restaurant but the service was impersonnal and very quick. No time to enjoy our food our wine. As soon as the plate is finish they take away the plates don't even wait for us to come back from to our table to bring the second dishe... pourring wine every 5 minutes even if the glasses were still full...
REstaurent is my favorite in Miami. Open Table still owes me an explanation about an email saying that I did not show up.
We were 3 people and as usual, enjoyed the place and the food.
Why did OT sent me an email stating that I did not show up?
Then, al the useless explanation about the cancellation policy.
I’ll never again will use OT. I erased the App from my phone.
This is really complicated to rate this place.
The outside bar is Pretty and cosy, the Bartender who served us was really good and talented. He made us a really nice cocktail with the different product we asked.
Then the Hostess came us, ( really nice ). She show us our table give us the menu "all good" .
The serveur arrive 10-15 min after we seat. before that they bring us some water and stick Parmesan bread. ( 10-15min seem a bit long but its fine )
The Menu wasn't really attractive ( a bit to simple nothing extraordinary ) With a simple menu you expect the food to be perfect and tasty but it wasn't.
- The Blue Crab ( the crab itself was good but what chef would put few Full seeds of Coriander in a Bite ) it ruined the whole experience!!!! The avocado wasn't matured too.
-The bresaola & eggplant bruschetta was Really Good.
-The spaghetti, maine lobster, chili & basil Oh boy!!!! an Italien restaurent who do not know who to cook pasta ( it miss at list a minutes of cooking )
the lobster taste good but... Shredded pieces not nicely cut, some chewi some over cook.
and presentation wise ( The guy who cut the basil !!!1/4 of an inch to 1/2 pices, never seen that in a Fine restaurent.
-Tortelli, zucca, cacio e pepe Again the pasta wasn't cook enough but the dish was really good.
after this we didnt wanted to take the risk and having a bad desert.
their wine menu is great they have a nice selection ( knowing most of the wine they proposed )
but the big Minus was the service ( our server was really nice but they are all rushing in there ) the table next to us wait their bill for 10minutes. Our bill came after 15 !
it was about $150 tips include. not really expensive pretty cheap actually for miami but i would not pay more for that experience.
The Place is Beautiful, your staff is really nice your Bartender are really good but
A lot of improvement need to be done in the kitchen !!!!
At the firtst we were placed at a terrible table in front of a wall, with 2 fans on our face in a small area between a tree and the wall. We had to asked for 3 different waiters to change out table, then comes the hostess, said they were full but at the end she offered a table that was much better. After that everything were great, ambience, service and the food.
