Cebu Bar & Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Everything was delicious, I had no idea it was happy hour until the people at the next table ordered. I had already ordered my drink. It would have been nice to have been told by my waiter. Also there is a special tasting menu, that they don’t give you, but for $25, you get delicious appetizer, entree and dessert. I would highly recommend the tasting menu. Food was really good.
Overall pretty good experience although our server seemed a bit put off by the fact that we had a later reservation. I could tell she wanted us to hurry up our meal. She kept asking if she could take away our plates even when we were still working. There seemed also to be a lack of knowledge about the menu and general questions that we had about the food. The use of an iPad added a cheap feel to the restaurant honestly. The apps were good (chicken wings, risotto balls, octopus) and the Iron Steak and Steak Frites were good. The cavatelli was over cooked and tasted mushy and was honestly inedible.
We dined with another couple at Cebu. This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we were very impressed. We all enjoyed the food, which was delicious and freshly prepared. Pork chops were tender and sliced off the bone for easy dining, as was the steak. Cebu has a very nice wine list. Our visit was made even more enjoyable by the very friendly, attentive service provided by our server, Summer.
We will definitely return!
Such a good restaurant. They greet you like they are genuinely happy to see you; they remember you when you return again. The food is excellent. At brunch on Saturday I had short rib polenta and my sister had French toast. They brought us complimentary riceballs that we order almost every time we eat there, and also crostini with ricotta and honey. That was nice! We bring friends here all the time and sometimes medium sized groups. Everyone loves it, especially us.
I had the pleasure of having brunch with my childhood best friend, husband and sister at Cebu over the weekend. We were so impressed with the food and the service. We walked in and were greeted by every employee with sweet smiles and hellos. Our waitress, Crystal, was so sweet and attentive. I’m not sure if it was the manager or owner, but he came by and asked us how we were doing and and if everything was going well. They gave us this amazing crostini with feta cheese as a complimentary starter. And everything we ordered was so good! We got the calamari (huge serving size) and the crispy tuna roll (filling as well). We all ended up getting their broken eggs brunch package which came with a drink. The eggs were to die for and the drinks were amazing as well. We will definitely be returning here! And they have free valet!!!
I really enjoy the brunch at Cebu and it's one of my favourite spots to bring folks visiting from out of town. It's very big on the inside and has a really nice aesthetic.
Cebu now offers a truly great veggie burger and has crispy hearts of palms for vegetarians. The crispy hearts of palm, served with marinara as if it were fried calamari is an inspired and delicious appetizer.
The service is wonderful, too.
My fiancé and I recently went to Cebu for the second time, and were delighted to find that round two lived up to our first experience. Service is exceptional and so thoughtful- on our first visit, we were given a free dessert as a "welcome" for being first-time diners. On our most recent visit we enjoyed an excellently seasoned miso-glazed sea bass skewer, perfectly medium-rare short rib burger and a huge warm brussels sprout salad. Portions are generous, food is brought promptly, and the cocktail list is extensive and well-prepared. Truly a neighborhood gem!
Had a delightful brunch with friends for a birthday celebration. Everyone enjoyed the food and presentation. The service was prompt and courteous. A few other table were celebrating b-days as well and the staff made a special presentation which was fun. The Bloody Mary was VERY SPICY so "heads up"if that's your beverage choice. We will definitely be back!
My husband and I went here friday night. The food was great except for the calamari which was very rubbery. We had the steak skewers, risotto balls and beef empanadas which were all delicious. The atmosphere was wonderful and cozy. The staff was a bit slow but we didnt mind because we were able to relax. So many times we go to restuarants that feel rushed. Other couples were complaining service was slow but we welcomed it.
Ok so we dined at Cebu last night because open table offered a bonus of 1000 points if reservations were made for a certain time frame. I am still waiting for my points to appear. Not happy about that. I only need 900 more for my 100 voucher. That's first. Then my waitress, a very nice girl came to our table towards the end of the meal and said that her shift was over but the other waitress would be our new server. But no new server came. Ever!!! I had to get the busboy to get my check. Again not very happy. I be eaten here many times but these people need to get their act in order. Word of mouth is the biggest advertisement.
Can't go wrong.
It's local for those who want to avoid the drive into Manhattan and Chef Lima has a,way of presenting tapas to a whole other level.
The appetizes are plentiful and suggest several to be ordered, especially the home made ricotta cheese with honey.
Thus Aline is worth the trip.
Extensive drink menu compliments their menu.
Go for it.
Can't go wrong........
First time back in a while, my wife had the Cube salad and I had the Stake and eggs, I asked for med on the meat and eggs over easy. Most places eggs over easy are cooked just a little to much. Not today. Meat cooked just right and the eggs on the money. My wife's salad was very good and the Bloody Mary was just the way w like them.
