We've been to Cazbar before and always had a great experience. This particular time it was for my birthday. First, we were not given our original table because the group that was there stayed too long. This meant we were put in a section of the upstairs portion of the restaurant that didn't have a good view of the belly dancing show. This was very disappointing, as it was my birthday and that was the whole point of making our reservation at the time we did. We also had 3 fewer people in our party than we originally planned (called ahead to let them know). But the service was still pretty slow. We were all really hungry and had to wait quite a bit for food in between ordering items. We will still go back because this was definitely not the typical visit at Cazbar.
Fantastic, authentic Turkish options. Heavy on the meat but there was plenty for a vegan too! Highly recommend the esme (sp) and beet/yogurt dip. Bread was yum! Seated us right away (with a reservation, as it was packed) and the service was friendly and quick without overbearing or rushing us out the door.
Visiting from out of town. Bit of a walk from the pier where the aquarium is but the food was top notch. There were 6 of us and everyone was very happy. Our only complaint is that the drinks were too strong. Otherwise highly recommend it.
Best turkish restaurant in Baltimore, amazing food but the service is so weak
no greeting no smile
What a great place. I've never had Turkish food before and thought I'd give it a try. This restaurant is a great place for couples, friends, or for a business meeting for up to 8.
The food is delicious and impressive. I got the Mixed Grill, which has a combination of beef, lamb, and chicken. Cooking one meat well can be done, but cooking 3 different meats on the same skewer isn't easy. Usually, one will be done to perfection at the expense of another. Each piece, every single one, could be cut using the side of your fork. The salad was crisp and fresh. No soggy salad here.
The atmosphere is authentic but not oppressive. The service area is clean and well-designed. The front of the house is well-run and trained. I wasn't bugged every moment but I never felt neglected. Someone here knows what they are doing.
Great relaxed dining experience. The food was healthy AND delicious and the service was friendly, attentive, and couldn't have asked for more.
The food is always hreat, but the service here is abysmal! It was a Monday evening, with a total of three tables and two wait staff, and yet we still had to constantly call for their attention.
On the whole, my dinner at cazbar was enjoyable. The well-prepared Turkish dishes more than compensated for the slow and at times unhelpful service and bland ambience.
One of my favorite places! Never disappointed!
Excellent meal and awesome service
I have been going to Cazbar for my birthday for the past 4 years. It's a tradition by now. And I have never been disappointed. The ambiance, the environment, the food, and the service are impeccable. This past weekend, I had a group of 18 people join me for my birthday dinner. Everything came timely and the service was great. I recommend this restaurant to everyone!
Marco is an amazing server, extremely attentive and friendly!
Stopped in Baltimore on our way back to Philadelphia after the March For Your Lives in Washington DC. We specifically wanted to avoid the traffic and tourists in the Inner Harbor area and were fortunate to have found this little neighborhood gem! Enjoyed Turkish wine, hummus, chicken kabobs, and eggplant moussaka. Ambiance was cozy, service was quick yet not rushed, server was very pleasant, food was delicious and reasonably priced. Didn’t see a parking garage or lot but easily found street parking on a Saturday eve. Would recommend!
Food was delicious but tables we very tight service was fine. Chef coming out to help recommend items was very helpful.
Cazbar is always fantastic. We go there every time we're in town to visit. The food is fantastic. The Manti is terrific
The food at Cazbar is delicious - we try something new every time and are far from making our way through its extensive menu of Turkish specialties. Prices are always very reasonable.
The food was very good and the quality consistent. We have been going there for a few years
now. The staff was pleasant and friendly.
My husband and I always ordered the Sultan dinner for 2 which comes with an assortment of dips served with their delightful warm pita bread, followed by the main course of grilled meats , no grilled vegetables though , and the salad was very minimal.
Over all it was a great dinner. We enjoyed it.
Great place - all around. Food was wonderful. Service was on point. Ambiance was perfect. Would definitely recommend as well as visit again!
Really enjoyed the food and the belly dancing show on Fridays and Saturdays. Authentic cuisine, nice atmosphere and good friendly service. Will definitely come back.
Sooo fun ; belly dancers, great food and hookah!!!
Quick service, great taste, high-tech tablet table-side payment system.
My office went there for a going away lunch for a colleague. We had a rather large group (anticipated 20+ guests) and Cazbar was very accommodating. Our server was great, because with a large group you sometimes get bad service with the automatic gratuity, but that was not the case here. Food was delicious. Most of us got the 3-course $14 lunch special. We had people who were vegetarian and gluten free who were also satisfied with the selections. Overall a great experience and always one of my favorite lunch spots.
Always delicious! Any time I come to Baltimore I make sure to eat at Cazbar. Which there was on in Alexandria, VA though.
My husband; "I'd come back here." "You found winner." "I wish we had any kind of place like that where we live." Ditto. Hand down loved it. Had lamb three ways, manti and mixed meze. Best hummus, baba ghanoush, etc. I've ever had. No where else can compare thus far in my travels. Lamb is phenominal. Service and atmosphere very inviting. One of our new favorite finds.
Our server expertly guided us to a grand feast (The Sultan's Platter) add in a fine authentic cocktail. All Good ! Do youself a favor & visit this hidden gem.
Excellent as usual! .xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The manti is plentiful. It's best to have it just with salad and no rice.
In general, I usually love my experience at cazbar!
The food was fabulous- like always. However, the drinks were not good. The restaurant was very busy - but that is no excuse for awful drinks. Even with the bad drinks, I will continue to eat here. The food is amazing and makes it worth the visit.
This was our second dinner at Casbar. We started with a Spinach Artichoke spread that was served with delicious bread. For my main course I ordered manti, which are small dumplings that superficially resemble gnocchi but are very different from gnocchi and also different from Uzbek manti. Casbar's manti consist of beef wrapped in a thin layer of dough and served hot in a yoghurt-based sauce. I've never eaten anything like it before, but I hope to eat Turkish manti again soon.
Glad we tried it.
We came from Texas and stumbled upon Cazbar. We got in for the show on Saturday and had an absolute blast. The food was delicious and the service was great. A must if you've never had Turkish.
Great service and fun menu. We shared small plates and made a fabulous meal. Belly dancer at the end of the night was a great surprise.
Food was great drinks were great. Pretty great time all around. Star of the show was Ephraim. Parents loved him and he was great.
This is one of the few places in Baltimore where you can enjoy authentic middle eastern food. The atmosphere is excellent. A highly skilled belly dancer performs a couple of times during the evening, dancing authentically among the tables. Food was delicious! Great service. Good atmosphere. Quiet enough for conversation.
Excellent chicken shish kebap. Taylor did a great job. Inexpensive, full of flavor, beautiful decor.
We love Cazbar and it didn't disappoint. Had a great meal as usual!
This was our first visit to Cazbar--the first and only Turkish restaurant in Baltimore--and we loved it! It's cozy, the ambiance is nice (romantic even). The service is very attentive and personable. The food is outstanding! A very nice, comprehensive menu, full of specials. The menu gives the diner a lot of options (e.g., small plates or meze, more all-in-one dinner specials, combos, etc.). My wife ordered the moussaka and loved it. Very authentic. I had an interesting Turkish salad that combined arugula with various herbs and spices, a lemony vinaigrette dressing and topped off with two ground beef-lamb skewers that were delicious. The before-lunch spirits pours were very generous (bonus points!). My wife had Baklava for dessert and enjoyed it; it wasn't as rich and "sticky" as the Greek versions we've had in the past. It was lighter. All in all, Cazbar kicked off a great weekend. We'll most definitely return.
Great food, great show, great service . We really enjoyed our time
I have been to Caz Bar a few times but this time was my favorite. I was catching up with a friend and felt like the restaurant was the perfect place to do so. She has never been to Caz Bar and absolutely loved it as well! The food was incredible as always and our server was very attentive to our needs.
