Fried Red Snapper
Whole fish deep fried puertorican style
Food was delicious and the waiter was very good. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in San Juan!
Fabulous seafood entrees. Our waiter was excellent. Service was a-one.
We only had tapas and wine. The tapas was good and I thought the wine prices were fair. One complaint I have is they should specify what is fried and what is not.
The noise was so loud you couohear anything
The food was delicious! Service also was good. But the fact that waiter offers you sides like he’s doing a favor comes to $$. Avocado was an additional $6. There was rice and bean with additional charge, however we didn’t order any extra. It was our last night in Condado, and we didn’t want to ruin it asking for clarification.
Excellent food, drinks and service. Highly recommend.
Overall great experience. The pitcher of sangria went a long way for four. Paella for two is enough for three in my opinion. Really generous portions and tastes great.
Small restaurant but incredible service and the food was wonderful!
We got the cayó sampler. My favorite was the crab cake. The fried red snapper was well worth it. The stuffed mufongo was bomb. I got it stuffed with shrimp and steak. Tres leches was delicious. Definitely stop if you’re in the area. An added plus is that they’re COVID conscious. They do ask for vaccine card so be prepared. 10/10 must try again!
Delicious food as always. Service is slow but the food is so good it's worth the wait.
Not very nice people and the food was so so Had to show vaccine card not sure why
Great recommendations from the server. Efficient service.
The wait staff was superb and the food was wonderful.
Excellent food and service. The place is small so make sure you make a reservation
We had the fish croquettes as starters; they were delicious. I had the grouper and my husband had the mahi-mahi. Both were cooked to perfection. I also tried their artisan Puerto Rican rice--it is a little different than usual but very delicious.
There’s a rope stopping anyone from opening the entrance door, it’s all glass so you can see in and they out.I waited outside the restaurant for 15 mins while the staff kept walking by and seeing me out there waiting and they never once even acknowledged me while I waited. Then once seated, over 20 mins to bring me my glass of sangria and over an hour to bring my food. The mofongo was dry, flavorless and the steak tasted more like lamb or goat meat and was salty and chewy. They never once apologized for the wait or anything. Overhyped, expensive and poor service. Worst dining experience ever for me.
We were told the crab tacos contained real crab meat and once we received them was clearly imitation crab meat. Grilled lobster tail undercooked. The waitee changed our crab tacos out for fish and did nothing about the lobster tail but offered us free desert. Very small place. Reservations ONLY. NOT WORTH IT!
Excellent service and food, will be back!
Originally was supposed to go to STK, but had to go to this place last minute 1hr. Before closing. Food was delicious, service was quick and amazing. I was walking out the door and realized (3 sangrias in) that I put it was my birthday on the reservation and he said “don’t leave go back in there, don’t leave” and made us birthday shots. I enjoyed my birthday & it was a last minute success. Get the sangrias pitcher, 3 of us each had 3 full glasses for $30 pitcher.
Party of 4 totally enjoyed our dinner, much appreciative to restaurant due to delay arriving for reservation due to traffic backup, but they welcomed us w/open arms, service wonderful we will return next time in Puerto Rico.
Food was delightful!!
Made a reservation and was seated quickly. Nice ambience. Polite server. Food was excellent. Waitress surprised us with a free shot.
This was our best meal in San Juan - delicious food, perfect ambiance, prompt and attentive service.
Food was very good but service was mediocre. The atmosphere is decent but it is small and crowded so it seems a bit loud.
I was a little disappointed with the red snapper. Don't be hungry when you go it takes along time to get your food.
The service was top notch but I wish I could say the same for the food. It was fine but nothing to write home about. The tuna appetizer was tasty fishy and was overpowered by the soy and the red snapper was very dry and had no sauce so I would not recommend that. They seemed to have regulars there so there might be other dishes that are better?
Overall a great experience for my first time dining in San Juan! Thank you!!
Outstanding, great service, even better food. Very small restaurant with limited seating but worth it. Nice sizeable portions and wonderful menu. Right on Ashford Ave across from the Vanderbilt Hotel.
Amazing. Great service and the halibut, specifically, was amazing!
Cod croquettes and crab epanadas were amazing as were the mojitos.
Food was good and the drinks are amazing
We were very pleased with the Covid 19 proof of vaccine that this restaurant requires. It made us feel about good eating there. The service was impeccable and the best food we have had in PR since we arrived!
Seafood Paella was plentiful and good and cooked in a relatively short time.
Great meal based on recommendations from our friendly server. The whole fried snapper was delicious and the paella was perfect. Host could be much friendlier but it certainly didn’t change this wonderful meal!!!
Not sure how this place got so many good reviews but was very underwhelming to me.
it was a nice birthday dinner
Really not a good experience. From other reviews, it seems like this is a hit or miss kind of place. Definitely a miss for us. Caesar salad to start had lots of brown spots on the romaine. Paella was mediocre with overcooked shellfish, including a couple of big, tough mussels. Contrary to other negative reviews, we had no problems with the service. But, food was a big disappointment.
Very nice and quaint, food was amazing, the only complaint is the beverages had little to no alcohol in it
We loved everything about Cayo Blanco! We ordered the frozen mango drink which was the perfect blend of sweet and strong. We had the fried red snapper and grilled Caribbean lobster tail which were both so good we went back the next night and brought people with us. Cayo Blanco has become our new favorite restaurant when we visit PR!
