Using the best of ingredients from our award winning local suppliers, all our dishes are a real treat to enjoy within the historic surroundings of the Stables courtyard at Chatsworth House.

The house car park – conveniently located next to the house, garden, stables and farmyard – is open every day until 7pm. Parking is free with all tickets booked online. Calton Lees car park is located at the southern end of the park and is open every day until 7pm and costs £3 per vehicle.

A number of local bus services come to Chatsworth and stop at the house. The bus stop is just a short walk from the house, garden and farmyard entrances.The closest train station to Chatsworth is Chesterfield. However, buses from Chesterfield do not come all the way into to Chatsworth. The closest bus stop is Baslow, which is 2km on foot.

A light savoury starter is followed by a selection of carefully thought out finger sandwiches. A refreshing interlude follows in the form of a sorbet, before our delectable cakes complete the experience served on a beautiful Wedgwood tea stand. Enjoy as many teas as you can manage from our bespoke range supplied by Northern Tea Merchants of Chesterfield, a cafetiere or barista made coffee. A truly memorable experience.

We booked lunch for our 40th Wedding Anniversary which was noted on the booking. We were looking forward to a ‘celebration’ lunch. The server spent most of her time chatting endlessly to the couple behind and we were virtually ignored. We had to ask twice for water for the table. Menu was different from website and very limited. We will not be returning which is a shame as our past experience had been good.

We found the setting very pleasant. Service by the team extremely efficient and friendly. Lunch menu choice limited catering more for the exotic rather than the more traditional dishes. Prices on high side but expected at this type of restaurant. Menu more suited to adults. Best to book ahead in busy season

We were expecting the surrounding to be in line with the grandeur of the house. For the price it was very disappointing.

I emailed the restaurant about my daughters food issues . No they didn't email back they actually rang me to talk me through what she could have . They asked me to leave it with them and the chef would sort her something. It was amazing . We were so so thankful . They went above and Beyond.

Fell over just before I got there and turned up with a bleeding knee. The lady helping was so kind and really looked after us and helped. She was so brilliant you can tell the staff work to such a high standard.

Had afternoon tea; the service was exceptional all done with a smile. Food was excellent very tasty. There was a very calming atmosphere in the restaurant. Would highly recommend.
