Don’t forget about this great restaurant. It isn’t right off the freeway so some may not even know it exists. But that’s what I enjoy about it. There isn’t a lot of freeway noise. The parking is a bit tight but no biggie. The waiters are so friendly. The food is great!
My date and I truly enjoyed our experience at Cavatore’s, the ambiance was great. We order the table side prepared Cesar salad that was probably hands down the best that I have tasted. I had trouble deciding which entree to pick because they all looked delicious. I had the Mahi Mahi which was really tasty and the farm to table vegetables that came with it were so fresh. We will definitely be going again to try other menu items.
This was our Valentines celebration and the food and service was very good. As expected it was busy but staff managed well with no undue delays. We have been to this restaurant before on other occasions and it has never disappointed. Will definitely return to this local gem
This is a beautiful rustic Italian experience with live music and tiny candles burning in each table. It is a gem! We go every year for Valentines. It is amazing g!
A bit more crowded than on a normal day but very appropriate for Valentine's Day. Service was very good, food was exceptional(as usual).
Great experience all around. Enjoyed the live Sinatra!
If I could leave them 10 stars I would. The filet is truly the best I’ve ever had. A true Italian restaurant and the table side Caesar salad is amazing.
The service is top notch... exactly what one would expect for the price... now, Cavatore isn’t cheap, but it’s not out of line for the quality. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy and relatively quiet & there is live piano music.
The food is really really good. Homemade garlic bread. Large drinks. It never disappoints.
Caesar salad prepared table-side, excellent. Entree served too soon. But large portions, well seasoned. Pasta definitely al dente. Pecan cheesecake rich and full of gooey goodness. Live piano music was unobtrusive, romantic.
Not my first time to take a business group to dinner here. And won't be my last. A Houston staple worth the drive for that special meal with those that you love.
Used to be a favorite but this last visit was horrible. The service was nonexistant and nowhere near the exceptional service we used to get. The food is still good but we won’t be back unless they can up the service standards back to what it used to be. So sad.
After waiting FOREVER, our waiter forgot drinks and entrees we ordered and the. Kept blaminh everyone and everything else for the missing items. Said he removed items from the bill because of the mistakes but actually ended up adding other things we didn’t even order.
As usual Cavatore Italian Restaurant did not disappoint! From the appys to the main entree to the wine - everything was amazing. The caesar salad is the best I have had!
Outstanding as usual! Table side Caesar salad best in town! Thanks, Maria!
Cavatore still has the best caesar salad in town. Otherwise the food is just alright.
Favorite restaurant in Houston!
We went to Cavatore for two of my girlfreinds' birthdays and everything from start to finish was perfect! We did the fried mozzarella for an appetizer (best ever) and then we did the table-side cesaer salad (best ever). A couple of us ordered the various pizzas and while one friend ordered pasta and the other a chicken dish. EVERYTHING was so very delicious! We will definitely be back!
This has been our "go to" Italian restaurant for years. We love the food and the service staff.
Great food and service. Atmosphere is super cool. An Italian treat for sure.
The eggplant parmigana is superb. The waitstaff is professional, attentive and friendly.
If I was to nitpick, it would be the lighting in the South portion of the restaurant. We sat near the wall and it was difficult to read the menus. The light from overhead fixtures is not very appealing and the small candles on the tables don't help. I recommend improvements to the lighting which will greatly improve the ambience.
Have always enjoyed Cavatore's! Great for large parties.
The lasagna was good but not exceptional
The service was rather slow and underwealming
The piano player was a nice touch
The fish was dry and overcooked. Vegetables too salty.
$50.00 lunch for 2 people is not worth it.
Food was good as usual, a little frustrated slow service this time, not the norm and requested seating by live music and was told guests made reservations one year in advance there fore could not accommodate my request. I attempted to make a reservation one year in advance, it would not allow me to based on Cavatorie Guidelines. Why was I told this? The whole time we were dining there was empty seating in the area with the live music.
Good Italian good, family friendly and good service/atmosphere.
This restaurant has great food and service along with a very nice atmosphere. i was disappointed in the wine by the glass selection. My 2 favorite wines were only offered by the bottle - La Crema and Sonoma Cutrer and I usually find these wines offered by the glass at most other restaurants. The chocolate mousse dessert was delicious!
We discovered Cavatore's by accident a few weeks ago. We live in Cypress. But when we have an activity or event to attend in the Heights, Cavatore's is the place for us to eat.
My family went for my mom's birthday. We all had a great time and the food was wonderful and our server was very helpful and informative. Thank you for making this a celebration to remember.
Great food. Great service. Perfect date night
We have dined at Cavatore's for many years and have never been disappointed. The food and service are always great. Half price bottles of wine on Mondays!!
Food was fantastic! Opt for the Caesar salad table side. Well worth it! So many entrees but everything we ordered was amazing!
