Had to send our entree's back twice, and still not right ! Worst prime rib that I have ever had in my life. The meat was so tough, that you could not cut it with their serrated steak knife ! My wife and I both ordered our filet and prime rib medium rare. So sad to see this quality of food , used to be one our favorite area restaurants.

Most of the time, this restaurant is 5 stars- hands down. Great service, great food. This time, it just wasn’t 5 stars. Food was cold, steaks were over cooked sadly, and check took a while to get which was well over $200. Was just expecting more.

Our waiter (from Russia) was helpful and first class in every aspect of our expectations for a top end restaurant. We do not get to Cavanaugh's often ($$$$) but when we want the very best, Cavanaugh's is the restaurant!

I was so excited to take my new wife here. I should have known when the bread and hard butter came out it wasn't going to get better. Ordered artichoke and spinach dip. Two 18oz ribeyes and a loaded bake potato. Got us some drinks. Drinks were the only good part. Artichoke and spinach dip was nasty. Big pieces of uncut artichoke in the dip made it impossible to enjoy. Sent it back. Then the steaks come. I ordered medium well and my wife ordered well done. I should have known with the blood on my plate. But I cut into my steak. Yes. Still raw and cold. My wifes steak was so well done it was burned. We send them back. My wife doesn't even want her steak now. My new steak came. Well not new. The same cut up steak. It tasted like they microwaved it for a few minutes and brought it back out. For $50 a steak it should have been a re-fire and new steak. I sent it back and the manager came over and didn't charge us. We left without eating and will not go back. I suggest you get the pizza from the casino. Can't go wrong there. We also watched another table send their filet back as it came out raw and nasty also. Looking at other comments. Looks like a new cook is in order.

We've been going to Cavanaughs for about 10 years now for my birthday. We are never disappointed and the food is always great. I think they have one of the best steaks in town.

The Place was Decent. Food Good. The entire place smelt like an ashtray. It was overwhelming and ruined the entire meal. We were rushing to get out. Our clothes were saturated by the overwhelming smell and then my car from the trip home. Be prepared.

Well, the server did not come by for a long time. Once we got our food, my steak was pretty good and so was my boyfriend’s prime rib but my Parmesan herb mashed potatoes were completely cold and his baked potato was Luke warm. We sat there for a while with empty glasses. We have ate here a few times but this was not one of the better times

The prime rib was the worst steak I have ever had! No seasoning! It was grey in color and had more fat than meat. The whole table moved when I try to cut with knife. The au gratin potatoes tasted as if they came from box and popped in microwave to melt cheese. The Brussels sprout weren’t cooked all the way and had no flavor

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here. Excellent service, window seat. I had crab cakes from the appetizer menu with a salad and it was plenty of food-delicious! My husband had a very tasty filet mignon and the best baked potato he’s ever eaten! We were surprised with a lovely complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration. Highly recommended for a special occasion.

We ordered the 7oz fillets medium. Both came out extremely rare. We did send them back and the kitchen did attempt to correct. However in reality the outside was just cooked at a high temp which really just burnt the outside. Crab cakes and potatoes were great. I would not expect the food to be comped but would have expected a new steak prepared correctly. Overall disappointing for $200 meal for two.
