Cava Mezze - Olney
Excellent service, very nicely plated tapas items, yummy Sangria!
I loved the experience. I would like more veggie based options in the brunch menu (then again that’s a personal preference). Other than that everything was great! A nice lively, diverse brunch spot in Olney
The food and staff were great!
a group of 7, everyone enjoyed the food and were very complimentary, just too noisy between 7-8pm
The food is delicious, the service is great, ambiance is nice, but the restaurant is way too loud.
Quite a good restaurant actually
The table was ready for our reservation. We enjoyed the meal - cooked well and served promptly. Coices are not extensive. Wine list was good.
The only negative was the noise level - in a full restaurant on a Friday evening - it was quite difficult to carry on a conversation.
Great as usual
The food was very good and we loved the variety in the menu items. However, the restaurant was very loud and we had trouble having a conversation. We had to put our heads together (literally) to hear one another!
Great Mediterranean !
Myself, my wife, and another couple dined at Cava in Olney on March 9th. Although the food was very good, as was the service, the ambiance was lackluster, at best. I understand it's a business and the owners want to maximize the space and profitability, but at what cost? The tables are placed so close together, you can't but help hearing others conversations. Moreover, every time a person needs to leave the table you have to avoid bumping into others or knocking things over on a neighboring table. All you hear (if you can hear, given the noise level) is a chorus of apologies every time someone needs to use a restroom or a table empties because a party has finished dining. At that price point, around $100/couple, it should be a more comfortable dining experience. We will not be returning.
My husband and I love this place. But each time we go the food seems less impressive, like they are slightly losing that special touch.
Small portions for the price but the food is delicious.
We went to Cava Mezze before a show at Olney Theater, and it was perfect! We shared the dishes and tried several different fish, vegetables, and salads, and we also got the dip sampler. We will definitely be back to try more!
There were four us, and we ordered the special lunch prix fixe menu ($12 + $3 for a dip), and we shared everything. Two small plates each plus the four dips and pita gave us more than enough food including two hungry gentlemen. Everything was delicious, and service was great.
Fantastic food, service was awesome. Mules are dangerous!
As usual great food and excellent service
The establishment honored our request for brunch even though we were late for our reservation and the kitchen was going to switch over to dinner soon. The brunch options were great and the mimosas are awesome! We would have stayed longer if my 28 week pregnant cousin didn’t fall from a collapsed chair. The waitress was so super sweet and the service was fast. Will definitely be back
We enjoyed our night so much! Made our 1 year anniversary very special
The food itself was great. Fresh very well crafted meals but nothing else really wowed me or my wife. We had the bottomless brunch. The noise level was moderate to high but that was not really an issue for us.
We've been to Cava many times. The dinner menu has changed since we had dinner there. They now have some larger entres. We ordered the Bronzino and lamb meatballs and shared the Village salad. They were all well prepared. I am glad the dinner servings are still as experienced previously. The changes in the Brunch menu have me feeling I do now want to go for brunch again.
We have a group that gets together every 6 weeks at Cava-Olney. The number fluctuates with last minute work and family obligations but the staff always treats us great And the food is always the best.
The food is great...I was just disappointed they ran out of the calamari, which I've had before and is excellent. Brussels Sprouts are another favorite.
Delicious as usual! So far, there's only one item that my wife and I have tried that we didn't like, otherwise we really enjoy the entire menu.
Birthday. Food wasn’t as good as Clarendon location.
This place is NOISY. I cant believe no noise mitigation has been tried, but I still love the place! For one, the service staff are exceptional. From seating staff, to servers, to bartenders...top notch! Food is great and menu is varied...no matter your food preference: veggie, meat, pork, seafood...they got you covered! And the flaming cheese...PLEASE!! Its amazing! I'll be back soon.
Celebrating my 50th birthday!! My husband and I loved the food and the service was excellent!
Love Cava Mezze!
Food is awesome and good service
Having made a reservation, I anticipated that I would not have had a table situated inches away from the drafty front door . We were seated at a table top, not what was requested in the reservation. Don’t go on a Sunday with a reservation, you’ll likely be disappointed!
First time venturing out of DC brunch scene and we absolutely loved it! Great service, great ambiance and great value! Will definitely be back.
Great food choices with unusual and delicious combinations. Accommodating servers!
Celebrating my birthday. Always a great meal, wonderful food and nice ambience.
Jennifer was very attentive and provided great service :)
Great place to meet up with friends and share food. Love the ambiance, taste of food and the creative decor.
Love the harissa they serve with pita. I ask for more!
Always enjoy but on a snow night.... blissful!!
The “dip” served with the pita bread was quite spicy. Asked waitress if there was a less spicy one. Was just told no, not giving any alternative like oil.
I have gone to this restaurant a number of times for brunch and with friends for lunch. All their menus have changed. I still like the lunch menu but it's not as cost friendly. I was rather disappointed with the Sunday brunch changes which seems to offer fewer options. I was also disappointed with the hostess and our waiter. The hostess seated the four of us near the door and when I asked for a table further in which wasn't occupied she said they were saving it for a larger group but she later seated another party of 4 there. I also felt the waiter was not very helpful with explaining the way the menu works or present to meet our needs. It is usually a better experience, but it was the first time these friends accompanied us there and we didn't impress them with our choice of Cava.
Best Greek in area. There are so many great dishes here. perfect drinks were martini and vodka drinks. Lamb slides, brussels sprouts, eggplant, fish, chicken, we had great small plates and a must to come. Staff were great.
Found this restaurant on Open Table while looking for a place to have dinner before a show at Olney. It was perfect: wonderfully flavorful food with plenty to share. Service was warm and welcoming, even though we were quite seriously late for our reservation. Bar was running a little slow, or I would have rated service higher, but it was a busy Saturday night, so that was fine. All in all, a great option for a pre-dinner meal or drinks. Will return again.
