Cava Mezze - Clarendon
Always an amazing experience. Food on point. Servers lovely and on point. Fast serving and top knotch quality for a great price!
Had a wonderful time celebrating my friend’s birthday! Thank you for the prompt service and free dessert.
Birthday Celebration it was fantastic!
It was my friends birthday couldn’t find the reservation
Good food, quick service; a little pricey
Everything was excellent from start to finish!!!
Ashton was great! Made my gf’s birthday special when the cake didn’t show up!!!
Greatly enjoyed the service above all; Byron’s knowledge of the menu and service was excellent.
The tapas were very tasty and you can’t go wrong with their saganaki.
We had someone in our party that was sensitive to food allergies (nuts, seafood) and our server was very knowledgeable about what they use during prep. He was attentive and checked on us several times to make sure everything was okay.
Amazing time as always, great service and really good food. Gets a bit loud but that’s to be expected. Will continue to recommend as well as be back in the future.
Changed reservation from 5 people to 6 people on the open table app hours before reservation. Did not have updated reservation when I got there. Said I could only make a reservation for 5 people when I clearly could make it for 6 people on that app. Food was great but service was very slow. Had to cancel an appetizer because it took so long and had to ask for more pita 5 times. Very unlike Cava, usually the food is so fast.
Excellent small plates with a rich, variety of flavor. The lunch special was perfect for the two of us to sample a number of dishes!
Good neighborhood restaurant with pretty good Greek food for outside of Greece. Service a little weak on a couple of our last visits.
Great brunch for $35 all you can eat and $0.25 mimosas
Made it a special evening with a desert on the house
I love the brunch at CAVA Mezze. It is cost effective,. The food is superb. The service is excellent. The best part are the small plate options. OMG. The are great for me since I'm a diabetic.
Good for quick, quality Greek meal. Would like more authentic gyros. Good service.
Loved that the portions were the perfect amount. Usually when you get tapas there is always am odd number that isnt easy to split between everyone. Every tapas we ordered was perfectly split between the three of us. And Molina was a fantastic server. She checked on us often, made sure we were taken care of, and had excellent suggestions. We'll definitely be back.
The foid is great, but the place is noisy.
We had the bottomless brunch which was good, but the service was terrible! The waitress took forever to come to the table and she kept forgetting items.
Great place for a night out. Dark and cozy. Loud music (so it was a bit hard for my grandmother to hear the conversation), although she loved the food.
Definitely can't beat the hummus and unique and delicious options.
But watch out, the complimentary sauce with the pita is spicy!
Hadn’t been here for a few years. Won’t hurry back. The noise level was pretty bad, with an a/c fan throbbing so loudly we had to raise our voices. The service was slow—which I’m fine with in general but it took forever even to get a drink. The food was a mixed bag. The hummus and tzaziki were good, the gigandes one-note, the salmon pretty good but the grains it came with were undercooked.
Poor service but they did adjust bill and apologized on their own. Salad and gyro were very good. Good neighborhood spot for solid Greek food.
Really enjoyed it. The table we sat at was REALLY sticky though. More attention to cleaning the tables properly between diners would be a good idea.
This place is going downhill which is unfortunate because it used to be one of my favorite brunches. Mimosas were warmer than room temp, we sat by the thermostat and the restaurant itself was at 82 degrees inside the dining room. Really uncomfortable. Hard to get refills - waitress didn’t come by much. Super small portions on each plate, and they have taken some of the better items off the brunch menu. Taking shortcuts with other items. The “Nutella” on the Nutella waffle is now plain old chocolate syrup, for example. Feels like most of the menu is carbs. With so many great brunch options in DC it’s hard to recommend this one any longer. Avoid.
Food was so-so. Not as good as it had been in the past
Rats in the patio area.
We had a wonderful dinner! He food is always awesome but there was some strange loud humming noise the entire time we were eating and that was relatively annoying. Overall worth the trip!
I had a date with a young lady and chose CAva. The food was above average. Above average was the best I can give it. Certainly for the price should’ve been better. But the big problem was that the portions were extremely small and overpriced. Yes they were small plates but they were barely enough food on them. We spent $120 which included two sangrias and five dishes and we left hungry. I used to like this place but will never go back after this last.
This is the third time we have visited Cava Mezze for dinner and, as in the past, it was a wonderful dinner! Standouts include the fiery cheese prepared at tableside along with an outstanding scallop small plate. Lamb chops were done perfextly and a great value. Service was impecable. Looking forward to coming back again soon!
Always excellent food with odd service.
The food is generally good, but the prices are high for what you get. I go for the ambiance and Greek mezzes and wine, although I prefer the food at Kapnos. When I choose Cava instead of Kapnos, it’s to sit out back on the patio because inside seems to have been constructed to be loud. Even when it’s barely half full, it’s loud.
High prices, but good food. Reduced amounts of food on some favorite dishes was a disappointment
Amazing food, phenomenal service! Byron was so helpful with suggesting food choices. 😉. Will definitely return to Cava !:)
delicious food - good opportunity to get together with a group and try a bunch of small plates!
Great food. Small portions. Higher pricing than most. Try it once. May return, equally many other local options.
We went to Cava Mezze for an early dinner before seeing Hamilton. The food was great. We told them we were in a little bit of a hurry, but they balanced the meal perfectly to make us feel not rushed, but recognizing our need to get out quickly. Great service.
One of my favorite spots in Arlington. Great food and ambiance.
Excellent Mon-Fri lunch special deal - 2 generous mezza plates for $12 and $3 for a dip if you wish to add. My only issue is that when I get their home made ginger beer - I don't want much ice - I have never liked much ice in my drinks - at home I only put one large ice cube in my drinks. Anyway - they are so miserly - that they won't fill the ginger beer to the top without a glass full of ice - and their answer is that they are only allowed to give a certain serve amount. I find this incredible that because I don't like much ice - I get less drink. Anyway - I guess they want to squeeze every bit out of the money they take in. That really put me off, but the food is so good - I'll go again. Perhaps I'll have to stop having their ginger beer.
