El restaurante tiene un buen concepto, lamentablemente acudimos por primera vez, un día muy concurrido, el 14 de febrero.
Para empezar hice mi reserva por medio de la página y me marcaron el mismo 14 de febrero en la tarde, para decirme que era imposible atendernos en ese horario, me movieron ya muy tarde y accedí, al final ya no conseguiría otra opción.
Cuando llegamos y nos asignaron una mesa, nos dieron el menú "del 14 de febrero" solamente, no entregaron el menú cotidiano.
Así que nos tuvimos que restringir a escoger de las 2 opciones que manejaba ese menú.
Después nos dimos cuenta, que eramos los únicos que no recibimos el menú completo, así que nos ocasiono molestia.
Posteriormente al expresar la misma, nos ofrecieron reparar el error, lamentablemente ya casi habíamos terminado, de lo que pedimos del menú del 14 de febrero.
La comida nos pareció regular , quizá porque se nos impuso lo que teníamos que pedir (las dos únicas opciones).
Los coctéles son muy buenos.
Quizá sea un buen lugar, por esa situación que nos ocurrió, nos quedó esa mala experiencia.

This was my second visit to Cau Cau. I was completely put off by the attitude of the restaurant's staff. I made my reservation through and received my confirmation from OpenTable. The day before our visit (Valentine's Day) the restaurant called to tell me that my confirmed reservation was no longer valid and that I would have to choose between two alternate times neither of which was acceptable. I persisted and the restaurant grudgingly agreed to honor my reservation.

My companion enjoyed her meal immensely, but my entrée was under cooked and one-third fat and gristle. The service was barely acceptable.

I do not intend to visit this establishment again.

Excelente lugar, todo muy rico. Un pico fria la terraza porque estaba lloviendo y no esta totalmente cerrada. Pero nos pusieron calentador

Esta muy caro para lo que debería. La comida es muy rica pero pequeñas porciones muy elevadas de precio. La música demasiado bajita, mucha luz como restaurante para el día.

everything was perfect!! since we arrived till we left the restaurant.
this is the second time we have lunch at this restaurant, the ceviches are outstanding. I do recomend this place.

Maybe it's me but I didn't enjoy the experience here. First we order the classic ceviche and it was good but not great. The main dishes were very good at presentation but flavor wise was weird combination. I must say that the proteins (short rib and pork were fine) but the sides were not good. A insipid green tamale that was cold and meant to be like that with a hot short rib. The pork dish had a mix of really strong herbs like epazote that overpowered the rest of the dish with a not so good plantain pure. Also the place was empty and it took almost 10 more minutes to bring a side of esquites that were soaking in a salty soy sauce that overpowered the taste of the corn and a sweet potato fries that were fine. Maybe this fusion Perú - México was not for me because it seems like many people love it. I must say that only the ceviche tasted a little from Perú the rest not so much. Also portions are very small.

It was awesome. Chef Cathy (Peruvian) introduce her self and explain all the concept of the restaurant. She is former “Pujol” staff, this place is something that you just can’t miss in MTY. There are few restaurants like this one in town.
