   My wife and I had a truly wonderful and memorable meal at Cattlemen’s. The filet was cooked perfectly and flavor was quite tasty. No need for any additional sauces. My wife’s jumbo shrimp were also cooked perfectly. Same for side dishes. We ordered bread pudding for dessert but it wasn’t particularly satisfying. They need to go to New Orleans for a new recipe. Otherwise, a very enjoyable dinner.

   Our waitress hands down was the best! While the remodel looks good, they really need something to stop the 5:00pm sunlight from beaming down on the people in the booth. It was too bright as is and then that just made it unpleasant to make eye contact with the whole table. Miss the chicken fried chicken from the menu, was one of the reasons we came for our anniversary.

   The food was good, but we felt a little rushed. Also, the waitress did not tell us they were of up charges for some of the items that we ordered,  for example, seven dollars extra for a wedge salad and paid three dollars more for a loaded baked potato that we ordered with no bacon, so $3 for a little cheddar cheese? It would’ve been nice to know.

   From the moment you arrive the staff is welcoming. We were seated immediately and given menus. The restaurant has a very nice decor. Our waiter was very friendly and professional as he guided us to our choices for dinner, we both had steak a filet and NY strip with baked potato and mashed with a garlic butter on the mashed. Everything tasted great and cooked to a medium rare for the steaks. Our experience was great we will be back soon.

   Despite requesting a booth when we made the reservation we were seated at a very small table right next to the grill. Extremely loud and cramped. The food is decent but certainly when you add the poor service it is not worth it. Sadly we won’t be returning despite previously having a good experience. This one just was not worth it.

   We’re new to Fort Worth and were excited to try Cattlemen’s, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. We had a great table and the service was attentive. Drinks were well prepared and very enjoyable. However, the meal itself fell short. While we appreciated the variety in the bread basket and the food was seasoned well with steaks cooked to temperature, nothing was served hot — at best, everything was room temperature. The creamed spinach tasted like it was either canned or frozen and was slightly bitter. The baked potato seemed old, possibly from the day before or at least earlier that afternoon. For an experience costing over $250, we expected much better. Sadly, we won’t be rushing back.

    We celebrated our second anniversary at Cattlman’s on 4/25. Clay was our server and was hands down the best server we have ever had anywhere. He absolutely made dining at Cattleman’s a terrific experience. He went out of his way to make our evening special. The food was absolutely delicious. 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to come back the next time we are in Ft. Worth!!
