   From the moment you arrive the staff is welcoming. We were seated immediately and given menus. The restaurant has a very nice decor. Our waiter was very friendly and professional as he guided us to our choices for dinner, we both had steak a filet and NY strip with baked potato and mashed with a garlic butter on the mashed. Everything tasted great and cooked to a medium rare for the steaks. Our experience was great we will be back soon.

   Despite requesting a booth when we made the reservation we were seated at a very small table right next to the grill. Extremely loud and cramped. The food is decent but certainly when you add the poor service it is not worth it. Sadly we won’t be returning despite previously having a good experience. This one just was not worth it.

   We’re new to Fort Worth and were excited to try Cattlemen’s, but unfortunately, we left disappointed. We had a great table and the service was attentive. Drinks were well prepared and very enjoyable. However, the meal itself fell short. While we appreciated the variety in the bread basket and the food was seasoned well with steaks cooked to temperature, nothing was served hot — at best, everything was room temperature. The creamed spinach tasted like it was either canned or frozen and was slightly bitter. The baked potato seemed old, possibly from the day before or at least earlier that afternoon. For an experience costing over $250, we expected much better. Sadly, we won’t be rushing back.

   We celebrated our second anniversary at Cattlman’s on 4/25. Clay was our server and was hands down the best server we have ever had anywhere. He absolutely made dining at Cattleman’s a terrific experience. He went out of his way to make our evening special. The food was absolutely delicious. 10/10 experience and we can’t wait to come back the next time we are in Ft. Worth!!

   I came here from AZ when I was 14. Finally made it back and it was everything I remember. Looking forward to next time.

   Service and ambience were good. The bread served pre-meal was quite good. That made me hopeful. My steak , the bone out ribeye, was cooked properly (medium rare) but had more gristle than I’d expect at a quality steak house. My wife’s filet was better. The sides were a bit of a disappointment. The broccolini was tough and the creamed spinach was runny and not very flavorful. I was turned off by the extra charge for using a credit card. While understand the sentiment, I think there was enough margin in the prices for the proprietor to absorb those charges. Overall decent. But I expected better for the price. They do a tremendous business. So interest my mediocre experience is unique.
