Simply put Cattivella is one of the best restaurants in the country. The Rabbit Gnocchi was perfect, the server was knowledgeable about wine and spirits, and the space is an amazing place to dine.
Next time I will come alone and sit at the counter so I can see the craft close up.
Thank you Cattivella!
This place is awesome! All over great!
Make sure to catch happy hour for great food and drink specials 4-6
This place is fantastic.
Delicious! If you want best prices, eat at the bar for happy hour.
The hostess greeted us very warmly and escorted us to our table immediately. The service overall was very good and the food delicious . We will be back.
Awesome place to meet a friend and catch up! Sitting at the Chef's counter is the best.
Went 2 weeks ago and had the shrimp special. Had it again, but they had significantly decreased the number of shrimp. The portions of our main meals where smaller, as well. Everything was still excellent. But, that was a little discouraging.
Excellent food, great ambiance. I recommend sitting at the chef's counter. Quite an experience!
We always enjoy it! Our kids love the wood fired pizza! Everyone is super friendly and accommodating! Thank you!
Cattivella does not disappoint. This was our fifth or sixth visit and it was probably my favorite. We had a great meal! The rabbit gnocchi and veggi pizza were highlights!
Typically the chef’s table is an amazing, refreshing dining experience.
But, despite reserving almost a month in advance for Mother’s Day Dinner at the Chef’s Bar - which is typically super fun and enjoyed by our family - the restaurant sat our party way at the end of the Bar by the storage / where dirty dishes were being brought back to the kitchen.
I am surprised they would sit any guest at that those spots - there is no cooking going on and in fact your sitting at a through way for the return dishes. Maybe I would expect to be seated here if I came without a reservation - otherwise it seems to be an inappropriate choice of seats for dinner guests with a reservation.
The lack of foresight, customer accommodation, and ambiance of sitting all the way at the end of the Chef’s Table is not what I had experienced earlier or expected.
Food is usually good but on this particular Sunday it was mediocre. Not much attention to detail. Service was also very disappointing. Waitstaff was inattentive and the two girls at the front were rude. May give it one more chance.
First, I had reserved outdoor seating, and when we arrived it was cold! The hostess had already saved us seats at the Chef's bar so we wouldn't have to wait- how thoughtful! Then the salad was perfection followed by the amazing mushroom-truffle pizza-WOW! Fabulous crust, wonderful tastes! The service was fabulous, the atmosphere is fun, and great to watch the kitchen staff do their magic! We had a great time and loved the food! Great find!
Food was good, but a little pricey. The grilled shrimp appetizer was excellent
Everything was delicious. We had the spring appetizer special, that was to die for. Then the rabbit gnocchi that was wonderful, and the meet balls, that were great too. The berry dessert is a must, too. Going again next week!
Love this place. Food is always on point and the service is excellent. Great atmosphere and the cocktails are amazing! Highly recommend this place.
By far my favorite restaurant for the most delicious exciting menu, amazing service from the time ur greeted to end of dinner u feel welcomed and attended to and the atmosphere is upbeat, comfortable, warm and aesthetically beautiful. You know it’s a good place when u keep going back and it’s consistently great. I tell everyone I know. Thanks for the experience.
Everything is handmade from fresh local ingredients and is very tasty. Service is good and prompt especially if you sit at the bar, where you can watch the cooks in all their glory. There is nothing that I would not recommend. Great place that we will definitely be back to visit.
This was our first time to Cattivella and we had a wonderful meal. Even with reservations, we had to wait about a half hour, but it was well worth the wait. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun and hip, and the staff was great. We will definitely be back! Perfect place to get away from the kids for a night.
Delicious, food, drink and wonderful service! Had heard negative comments regarding noise but the noise level was tolerable and not a deterrent; we did have later reservations so perhaps that was the key. Definitely recommend Cattivella for an out of the ordinary dining experience!
We were out on the patio which is fine. Inside is a bit nicer. Food very good. Rabbit pasta had very little rabbit although that’s pretty common at any restaurant. Drinks are sent but dessert menu wasn’t very interesting
elise wiggins, you have done it again. great dining in friendly environs with a superlative team of servers.
thank you for a great experience. you've got it going on!
We very much enjoyed our visit to Cattivella. Elise Wiggins greeted us at the door, which was a thrill, then consented to take a picture with us later. How nice! We sat at the Chef's Bar, and loved our waiters, who were throughly knowledgeable and not afraid to offer an opinion, which was appreciated.
We came from Golden, so it was quite a trek. We had been big favorites of the Chef's cooking at Panzano. Cattivella food was absolutely delicious, and I wish it was closer so I could get there more often!
The service was excellent. The food was amazing.
2nd time visiting and got to sit at the counter this time and watch the food prep which was cool. Happy hour menu is a good deal and a good way to try a lot of items on the menu plus craft cocktails, but save room for dessert and espresso.
Fun, lively atmosphere. Piadina was great for a light appetizer. The Pasticcio was great- like a creative lasagna. Salumi Calabrese pizza was really good but a little burnt on the bottom. The dessert was amazing- berries in a pastry pocket with ice cream
The overall experience was great. it was my 34th wedding anniversary an it made the grade for a top notch experience. One draw back was they did not recognize our anniversary and was a bit disappointed in that, however the food was great and the interaction between the staff was incredible.
The food was delicious, we had the spring salad, rabbit gnocchi, and tortellini with meatballs. The Gorgonzola sauce on the gnocchi was to die for. For dessert we had the berry crostata, which was fantastic. The service also was very good.
My biggest complaint is that the tables are very, very close together. The back of my chair very nearly touch the back of the chair of the guest behind me. And throughout dinner wait staff had to practically climb over my chair to reach tables between us and the windows. I was bumped nearly every time, it was very distracting and annoying.
I realize the owners can make more money with more tables, but it will make me think twice before going again. In the long run I think it's a better choice to get rid of some of the tables and give guests more room, because they will have a better dining experience and want to return.
Oh yeah, and it’s a bit on the pricey side, but that’s to be expected in the neighborhood it’s in.
The food was Awesome! Service was great. You will not be disappointed. Love that everything is made from scratch! The seating is a little tight but other than that, it is perfect.
This is my new favorite Italian restaurant. The chef/owner, Elise Wiggins, is amazing and she runs a great restaurant with absolutely delicious food!! I highly recommend it.
The Food was wonderful as always!
Cattivella has become our new favorite restaurant. We were long time devotees of Goodfriends on Colfax, and it's good to have the same lively yet relaxed atmosphere here in Stapleton. The food is outstanding and the teamwork shown by the staff is impressive. This is what customer service looks like.
It was great!
STUNNING! Impeccable service! The Chef's table is a learning experience of efficiency and beauty. A mouthwatering delight!
Service was fantastic! Food was outstanding. Staff is very pleasant! Watching your food being cooked in front of you is quite an experience! Definitely recommend.
Our second time here. Introduced some friends who liked C as much as we do. They had recently spent a couple of weeks in Florence with family there and said C compared favorably with the better restaurants in Florence.
We all liked the soft music which did not drown out conversation.
Service was outstanding as was the food and deserts. I love it that they change the menu and have creative specials for those of us who are frequent locals. The acoustics make it very noisy and difficult to hear across our table, however it adds to the overall “fun” character of the ambiance. Salads pizzas and meatballs were our choices and were superb.
We love Cattivella and chef Elise!! Never a disappointment!!
Small portions, highly priced for the area. Not overly impressed .
I have eaten here a few times and the food is always great!
A few issues worth mentioning... the service was only okay. For a restaurant of this quality and price point the service should stand out, and it just didn’t. It was not bad just not exceptional.
Second, our table was horrible. We were at a two top near the walkway between sections. That would be alright, but between our and the wall was another two top. This required servers to squeeze between my chair and the table behind ours to get to the other table. Not a great set up.
