Great all around experience with amazing food.
Wonderful food, fun to watch it prepared. Staff was attentive but not intrusive. Noise level was active, but we had no trouble talking. Great combination!
Great service and vibe. Risotto was average. Prices are high for the food quality and portions. Pizzas are outstanding.
I believe our server’s name was Eric. He was amazing and very engaging. We had such a fun experience. Our dessert accidentally got sent to the wrong table and it took 20 mins to cook, so we had to wait some extra time, but he was apologetic and gave us a nice sample of the tiramisu. If we didn’t live in Cleveland we would frequent this place.
Creative cuisine, and everything delicious! The oysters are melt in your mouth. Sit at the bar and enjoy the chefs working at lightning speed.
Great Atmosphere and service. The combination of flavors in every dish that I've samples have been extraordinary. Having the wood fired oven sure helps with adding some flavor and sealing the flavors into the food. Want the half chicken back as a regular on the menu....
The staff was pretty good, for the most part. After our meal it seemed to take a long time for them to remove our plates. The waiter came by to tell us about dessert and we asked him to give us a few minutes to decide. It was about 15 minutes before he got back to us, he seemed to be mia all the sudden. I like the ambiance and really wanted to like the food as it is presented very nicely. But we just felt like nothing had much flavor.
The other issue I had with this place is they are in the Denver dining passport and we were asked upfront if we had the passport book, the waiter told us that the buy one get one free entree is only good for entrees $20 and under - they have one entree for $20 everything else is over. If they don’t want to honor the passport buy one get one, they shouldn’t be in the book.
Great menu and reasonable wine list. Don’t go there if you wish to carry on a detailed conversation. It is very loud!
Great happy hour menu! Service was top notch! Sat at the high top seats near food preparation! We will definitely return
I expected some standard Italian choices like ravioli or lasagna. Meatball dish seemed more Mexican than Italian. Wood fired breads were slightly burned. I won't be returning.
We were there for a business meal. Our server seemed out of sorts and was taking a super long time to produce drinks and appetizers. At this point there was no one in the reataurnt and then disappeared for the night. 40 minutes later the restaurant explained she left. Our replacement server was a delight, but it was too far gone at this point. Needless to say we won’t be back.
My husband and I attended the viewing party of Guy’s Grocery Games for Sous Chef Zuri. The food was fantastic and we had a wonderful time! Cattivella continues to my favorite restaurant in Denver!
The food is always delicious and the service fantastic!
Tables are too close together. It was obvious that the wait staff has a difficult time serving and communicating with their guests. With only two desserts being offered - and one of those being coffee based (not advisable for late night) - dessert was not ordered.
Went for happy hour, but there was no way to enjoy the outdoor space on the chilly evenig. after asking specifially to have the hh menu inside and being told this was do-able, we were surprised that after being sat, this wasn’t the case. Pizzas were average and expensive, menu is interesting, but def for the more open diner. Overall, it’s VERY expensive for pizza and wine, hh is a better value. The saving grace was the service, our waitress was outstanding. Great to have in the neighborhood, but would only go back for hh.
Excellent service. Staff remembered me. Jordan at bar was super friendly and professional. Great tasting food
Food was fantastic! Nicole took care of my wife and I and we will be back for sure!
We sat at kitchen bar. It was quite noisy, but it was fun watching.
Service was slow, food was great, but a bit pricy.
Great dinner and wonderful service. Enjoy the entrees and main course.
The food was excellent and our service was outstanding. If I lived here in Denver, Cattivella would be a favorite place to dine.
Nice to finally have decent restaurants near the CU medical campus. Area was new with outdoor fire pits etc. A bit too chilly to dine outside though. Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. decent wine selection. It is a bit on the loud side for may not be amenable for people with hearing issues. Menu is somewhat limited - although what I ordered was very good (rotisserie chicken with arugula salad). There was nothing vegetarian or vegan (save for maybe personal pizza), and there wasn't a seafood item on the night we went (which is usually my first choice), so also would be a poor choice with non-meat eaters. I will definitely return but would suggest adding an option or two to the menu.
This was my third visit. While the food was top notch, I would only recommend this place for happy hour. The ambiance is awful. Noisy, bad lighting, tables so close together you could reach over and grab a bite of your neighbor's dinner if you wanted to.
We went for our anniversary. Big mistake. While I knew what the place was like, I had requested in advance a deuce (two top) near the windows. I also knew there was no guarantee we'd get that. What I did NOT expect was to be seated behind the host/hostess station, right by the front door. A cold front was moving in, and whenever anyone opened that door...WHOOSH! A blast of cold air down my neck. It literally was the worst seat in the house, unless you wanted to sit at the bar that overlooks the kitchen (which is never ever my thing).
It came close to ruining our anniversary dinner. The server/waiter helped to make up for that, and of course, there are no complaints about the food. I had the lamb ragu. My husband; the pasticchio. Both were excellent.
But really...the ambiance here is terrible. Perhaps I should have known better, but I have requested window seating in the past and have always had decent experiences. This time; not even an apology. Nothing done to try and offset our disappointment.
Brought a group of 12 from a business meeting. Table was prepped and ready for us at reserved time. promptly met with server who knew the menu and selections well. Great recommendations were made and the wine glasses kept filled. food was outstanding from appetizer through dessert. the handmade pasta in Lamb ragout was killer, as was the braised lamb. tiramisu was as close to what I have experienced in Tuscany as any as I have had. decent wine choices as well. an inexpensive chianti classic hit the spot.
I would highly recommend for any occasion and can't wait to bring my wife here when she is in town.
Cattivella is ALWAYS a great experience. Great food, great hospitality, fun environment
I usually never eat out at fancier places like this. I was worried when I couldn't pronounce half the menu but I was honestly blown away at how amazing the food and service was, but especially the food. I had never had anything like it before. It was all a new taste to me but holy cow was it good!!! If I'm ever in denver again I will totally be eating here!!
Great again. Best food in Denver and cannot wait for the new menu!
Cattivella never disappoints! In fact, I'm always blown away by something. This time, it was this amazing prime rib special, with truffle Rosemary mashed potatoes and bitter greens. Simple but incredible. The burrata app was also to die for. Nice wine, service, ambiance always. Well worth it - one of my faves!
everything was great Saturday night. The eggplant cannelloni, however, is a dish you should re-think
and put some punch into or retire it. Two of our four, regrettably ordered it.
Staff is friendly, inviting, we had so much fun both times we went. Highly recommend Cattivella. Service is like no other.
Food and service was outstanding. My husband had the rabbit gnocchi, I had the lamb Ragu, our friends shared the short rib. Everything we had was perfect. We will be back again!
The pasticcio is amazing!! I am quite sure all the food there is just as spectacular. Mayyybe the best restaurant tiramisu I’ve ever had. The space is very modern with an open kitchen and a shared dining counter top. Not an extensive wine list. Server we had seemed to know everything. Our trip from Capitol Hill was well worth it and will be well worth many return visits.
Food and atmosphere were great!
This was an ok dining experience. The burrata was fantastic. Wine was great. My wife got the short rib special but it was $45 and had a lot of fat. Needless to say I am making short rib eggs tomorrow because she wasn’t having it. My pasticcio was ok not great. The gnudia special was very good. All in all ok but not fantastic. Would love to see some simple pasta dishes on the menu.
Everyone raved about this restaurant so had to try it. That have to honestly say was very disappointed with the taste of the food. Very bland and no flavor. So sorry this wasn’t the experience I was expecting.
Very good menu - we tried a little bit of everything (except the rabbit :o) - All of the food was not only beautiful but was super delicious with a great vibe. Fun Place.
Sat outside on a perfect Colorado evening and had a fabulous meal - from delicious cocktails (old fashioned) to the appetizers (loved the lamb ribs and pig fritters), to the main courses (it was a pasticcio kind of night - yummy!). Highly recommend Cattivella!
New Job Celebration
Our experience is constantly enjoyable. Great staff, great food, wonderful ambiance and welcoming owner. We are never disappointed.
I don't get it. Service was uneven and the food was just ok. Wouldn't make a regular stop at all. One and done
We shared the calamari with chili aioli and the grilled romaine salad. It was the best grilled romaine salad that I have ever had. Two had the pasticcio and I had a wonderful pizza that had the best crust ever. The food is delicious and well worth the trip to Eastbridge which is full of great restaurants!
