Great Happy Hour and everything we tried was wonderful!
Closing on our home
Best happy hour deals! Monday they have all day happy hour, and the food is remarkable, as always. Highly recommend!
Cattivella is known for its great food and it did not disappoint - it was excellent. Plus the overall experience was top notch. We highly recommend it.
First time at Cattivella, excellent. I had the lamb ragu and apple tart, both excellent.
Food was very good. GF pizza crust could have been a little crispier, but the quality of ingredients was on point. Server was knowledgeable about all of the ingredients for each dish and preparation of dishes. The server was attentive but not bothersome. The weather turned a little chilly outside while we were waiting for our food and it would have been nice to be offered a table indoors as there were some available, but its possible they were empty due to Covid regulations. Every family member loved what they ordered, including dessert. We will most definitely be going again, and I look forward to trying the GF pasta & other dishes.
We sat at the high top table inside near the bar. Our server/bartender was awesome, and the food was excellent.
Love this restaurant! I had the grilled Romain salad and the fried chicken! Wonderful experience !
Went for happy hour and loved everything! Great service and delicious food. Nice outdoor seating! We are going back next Friday for happy hour...it was that good ;)
We loved our special anniversary dinner at Cattivella. Everything was wonderful: the food; the staff; and the environment. It was too cold to eat outside, but we felt very safe in the restaurant because of their diligent adherence to precautions. We were so glad that we celebrated at Cativella.
Great food and great service in a neighborhood restaurant. Always dependable and always great.
What we thought we ordered is not what we got. The web site menu didn't match what the kitchen was making that evening. So ask and pay attention. We were so hungry we didn't pay attention. Don't sit in front of the chef line if you want a quiet dinner. Ask to be seated away from all the yelling and barking of orders.
I love Cattivella. We sat outside to be safer in terms of possible COVID-19 transmission, so the ambience was perfect and noise level low. I do wish the chef would offer a few simple authentic Italian dishes that I’ve had had trattorias in Italy.
I love Cattivella, have been there many times, usually love the food. The oysters, Buffalo Buratta, and goat cheese Flatbread. Yum!!!. Pizza choice, Lamb ragu, and Rabbit gnocchi. Amazing!!!!. But I went 10/12/202. They added some new items. I am the kind of person that likes to try new things. So I got the Cinghiale and my sis got the Occhi Di Luppo. Both were dry and lacked any kind of flavor that one would generally associate with Cattivella. I was very disappointed and that is why the food gets 3 stars!!!!!
Honestly might be the worst dining experience I have had ever. Had to wait 15 minutes for a reserved table (saw them give our table up to a walk up and we showed up early). Sat for over 20 minutes after that at table with no one checking on us. Then when a server did come by said “I’ll bring you some water” and then walked away not even asking how we were or if we would like anything other than water. Then after another 10 minutes of NOT getting water we finally just stood up and walked out. Wouldn’t wish this dining experience on anyone. I have never once left a negative review for a restaurant, but I guess a first time for everything.
So great. Glad to revisit after awhile...love the great food and service. Old favorites made up tonight's dinner, and looking forward to my next visit already.
Delicious food, awesome and friendly staff from front to back, like always.
Our first visit and it won’t be our last! Delicious food and very attentive staff.
The staff and food at Cattivella is always superb... and having the Owner Chef stop by our table( & others!) is very special. You are our favorite restaurant!!!
Let me start by the fact that the hostess who was seating us took us to a table with a check from a previous guest. Took the check off and told us to sit. No I will not sit at a table that not only is dirty but not set. Apparently this restaurant doesn’t understand simple sanitation, even in a pandemic. I ordered a $50 bottle of wine and didn’t get it until we were done with apps. Serve was not friendly and food was ok. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Wonderful service, everyone was very kind. Happy hour is amazing! I definitely recommend.
Cattivella did not disappoint. The food, service, and wine were all superb. We sat outside and felt very covid safe. This was only the second time eating out in Denver since the pandemic. It was a fabulous evening with a very attentive and personable waiter. We would totally eat here again even though it is not in our neighborhood.
It was terrific. Clean safe and great service. The old fashions were spectacular !
Cattivella is a great spot for dining out whether it is for a nice occasion or frequent dining. The happy hour menu is expansive and showcases their many delicious offerings. It is a go-to spot for us any time we want to get out for a great meal.
Lovely meal and place. We ordered the calamari, cheese and charcuterie platter, the buffalo mozzarella pizza and the tiramisu. The calamari were a bit oily for us, but the flavors were good. The cheese board was fun varied and absolutely delicious. The pizza was perfectly made and wonderful. The tiramisu was light, elegant and flavorfull. I also have to mention the wines; we had a glass o soave which had lovely body and aroma, really complemented the calamari. And with the board and pizza we had the chianti which was fresh, sharp and had hints of earth and leather with ripe red fruit.
This was a birthday celebration for two of us who just turned 60. We were a party of four on the patio. This has become one of our favorite restaurants over the last couple of years and we love to bring friends who have never dined there. The food is so amazing and we had the honor of Chef Elise Wiggins serving us and explaining everything that was in front of us. She is lovely. Another outstanding meal at Cativella. I really can’t say enough.
We love Cativella! Happy Hour is so much fun and the prices are excellent. They have a massive outdoor patio and the service is always great. Our server Lindy, really took good care of us. I wish they had a bottle of wine special for happy hour, but the food was so good, we really didn't mind!
The grilled oysters are a must! Big, but not chewy, very creamy, smokey from the wood grill-yum. The eggplant parmesan is a small plate of three slices of breaded and fried eggplant with the housemade marinara and olive oil and balsamic- I have had it three times so far this Summer. The meatballs are tasty and with 5 of them, it's a good portion too. My husband ordered the salumi pizza, which is crispy and thin and chewy. Good sauce and fresh mozzarella. It's the best pizza around! The grilled romaine salad is amazing-my favorite Cesar dressing in Denver. Our friends ordered a charcuterie plate. All good, especially the paté. My only complaint is that you need more bread with it all to sop up all of the sauces and to eat the paté. Really was a perfect early repast! Can't wait to go back.
Great dining experience for a birthday. Perfect Happy Hour menu. We were able to try several different appetizers, entrees and drinks. We’ll be back!
OnE of my favorites.
Let me start off by saying the food is amazing. The chef and owner makes you as excited about the did as she is. Wonderful experience except for the service. Our server was not existent. It took so long for us to complete happy hour, we decided to cash out and leave. We would definitely come again for the food, just not Vitalii the server.
Always a delicious meal, outstanding service and wonderful ambiance. I highly recommend!
Had a party of 8, and we were accommodated extremely well. We were immediately brought out some delicious roast chicken on crusty bread, without even ordering it. The waiter was very knowledgeable about wine and was able to pair our selections so we got the full experience. We will definitely be coming back,!
This may be the most overrated restaurant in Denver
Felt safe dining on the patio. Tables spaced for distancing, which also allowed for dinner conversation without shouting. The food was delicious and the service attentive. Would definitely return.
Love it every time
The food was outstanding! Good size portions and very flavorful. Our waiter had way too many tables to adequately serve us as he always rushed. They need more waitstaff! The outdoor seating was pleasant and distanced apart according to the law. I look forward to going back soon.
Server was very hospitable, however, clear that they were very under staffed. Food was just not that great. Lasagna was very sweet and lacked any other flavor. The truffle Mac special was supposed to come w shrimp. They came after we mentioned it and the shrimp was like rubber and not edible. Oysters appeared over cooked as well.
The waiter was rude. The silverware was dirty and damaged. There were constantly different waiters approaching us. I felt rushed. The ambient was nice
We had a large party (2 tables of 6), and had set up to have some Prosecco ready for a toast. We had two servers who were both amazing and attentive, and helped us order for the group. They also were great about managing a bill with multiple cards. Love this place!
I found the host to be rude. The wait staff was awesome and the food delicious.
