Fun place to sit outside and have drinks, because the drinks are excellent. I believe the food and the menu selection always leaves something to be desired. Servers and staff are very friendly, but service is slow when you can even catch your waiter's attention. Beautiful restaurant on a great street in a great area of centro Merida, but the video mapping on the mural and the drinks are the stars of the show, not the food.

The ambiance was beautiful. Wait staff very attentive. Menu was a perfect selection of Mexican dishes, not overwhelming. The food was incredible!!!

Comida muy rica, excelente atención tanto en recepción al respetar la reservación e igual por parte de los meseros. Muy buen ambiente, se disfruta de la música y se puede platicar a gusto.

The food was Fantastic. But the patio area is so dark that even the waiters are using flashlights to put your plates down. Unless you’re there for a party scene with the big lit up back wall show, I suggest you sit inside

We had two lovely dinners here during our time in Merida. Very friendly staff & excellent food. If you want a quieter evening, ask for indoor seating. Outdoors is lively and energetic, with music blaring and groups of people having a great time. There are vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.

Food was certainly very good. The tuna tostadas were especially delicious. However, the ambiance was an odd mix of dinner time night club and sports bar (with 2 large screens in main dining area). The noise was ok bc it wasn't totally packed, but would on a different night be too chaotic. Ultimately, this felt like an over touristed/over written about spot. Not exactly a discovery, but tried and true if that's your wish.

We had a table for two in the backyard. Dinner was good and the Cocktails we're delicious.

Enjoyed the food a lot. Interesting food combinations. It was my husbands birthday and they surprised him with desert with a sparkler. Roberto made my husband great cocktails. Will recommend.

Estuve en Catrin con mi familia para la cena de Año Nuevo. El restaurante estaba lleno, pero el servicio fue rápido y la comida estaba deliciosa. Además, prepararan proyecciones muy bonitas para una pared grande que hay adjunta al restaurante. Felicito al equipo del Catrin y lo recomiendo a todos.

Great restaurant, food was delicious. Special mention for the smoked Marlin and tons toast exceptional. Carter is a world class waiter. Recommend highly!

It’s a shame that the place was nearly empty on a Saturday night, but maybe we were just too early. The outdoor bar with the mural is quite cool — though it was really too hot to sit outside. The menu is quite imaginative. (We were super cautious, however, to avoid anything that might create stomach problems and that eliminated many dishes with uncooked vegetables.) Desserts were especially intriguing. It deserves a good following.

A perfect Sunday lunch with friends. Visually, Catrin is pleasantly filled with art and artistic touches, like the hand crotched drink coasters and the wooden "papel picadaos" hanging from the ceiling. My mojito was delicious and served with fresh lime and mint. The food was super delicious, every bit was savory. I am a vegetarian and there were plenty of options for me. The owner came by and spoke to us about the art and area in general. It was our friend's birthday and he was very happy with our choicee of celebration. Catrin is not expensive but you pay a reasonable price for a high quality meal.

Catrin has quickly become one of favorite spots in Mérida. A good looking, well dressed crowd, super professional staff and a creative menu put it at the top of our list. The restaurant is also visually beautiful with vibrant art on the walls, a very cool, (but pricey), gift shop, and a massive mural in the courtyard that must be seen!

Me gusto la frescura de los platillos , el ambiente del Restaurante y la visita del chef a la mesa!!! Con tanto calor fue una opcion muy fresca en alimentos.

I can’t wait to return to Merida to go back to this fabulous new dining experience. Every dish was full of flavor and different. We hope to make this our new go to restaurant when we stay at our home in Merida.
