Usually great filet mignon, but this time quite disappointing. Not very tender.
Catherine's in an outstanding BYOB. There are always creative and local options of appetizers and entrees. And always save room for the outstanding pasty desserts.
Catherine’s is one of our favorite restaurants. It is predictably very good and in a year’s time we eat ourselves through the menu, then start over again. The mushroom crab bisque is the best soup around. This time, we had the 5-spice Asian pork and scallops with crabmeat for entrees, and split decadent bread pudding for dessert. Service is always prompt and friendly. Can’t wait for nice weather so we can dine on the patio.
Catherine's is always good but our most recent visit was even better than usual. The mushroom and crab soup is outstanding and it's served at a nice hot temperature rather than warm as in some restaurants. My wife's bib lettuce and eggplant salad was very ordinary. My wife had the short ribs and ravioli which was absolutely delicious and I had a scallop and risotto special. The scallops were the largest I have ever seen and they were cooked perfectly. I'm hard to please when it comes to scallops since I usually find them either a little under or overdone. These were perfect. Excellent service. A very enjoyable evening.
First time for Sunday brunch. Warm atmosphere. Friendly staff. Delicious soup and omelette. This place has always been good, yet it continues to get better!
Catherine's is cozy, beautiful, and historic. Everywhere you look, there's something interesting to see. Our server seemed very invested in our having a great experience. We had Easter brunch there and loved the items our server recommended. We'll be back.
Really great food and ambiance. Beautiful dining room, very relaxing. Staff very friendly.
Excellent food and dynamite service! Great night!!!
Catherine’s never disappoints! The food is always excellent, and the staff & management are as friendly and professional as they come. Beautiful ambience with a rare quiet dining experience. It’s a semi-hidden gen tucked away in historic and bucolic Unionville. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Always a delight! Food is consistently good, we are always happy to return time and tine again. One if the best around.
We live in Collegeville, Pa and it was well worth the trip!!! Amazing food as always. We love the signature Caesar salad with a little kick! The special fish, Snapper was out of this world!! Such a beautiful setting, and cozy decor! Always a fabulous experience at Catherine’s - we will be back ( and so will our friends who experienced it for the first time and are from MD).
A brunch with friends. Brought own Champagne for mimosas. Food was quite delicious. Service started out slow but might have been due to the onslaught of customers coming in at opening time. Brunch menu had a nice selection. We ended the meal with the apple crisp which one serving was sufficient for the four of us.
Food was exceptional and service was outstanding!
Catherine's never disappoints
We went for brunch for a friend's birthday - food was great, service as always, very attentive - really enjoyed speaking to Tara. The crab omelet was huge and full of crab and asparagus, my husband's omelet was equally as delicious. Can't resist the bread and homemade berry preserves. The salad with Tuna was cooked to perfection, but the highlight of course was dessert. As it was my friend's birthday, we ordered dessert and they brought it out with a candle, beautiful presentation and song. What more can you ask for? We'll be back!
I love this place! They really pay attention to every single detail. The service is amazing and the food was delicious.
Delicious, and fun!!!
We had not been to Catherine's for quite a while. The menu does not change very much so the same items can get a little boring. However, the food is quite good and the ambience is one of the best for an expensive night out. Although the food is good, the prices are rather high compared to other spots that we dine out. Mushroom soup $11. Arugula salad $13. All entrees near $30. It is a BYOB, which is quite important to me, but the $7 cork fee is rather high when the only alternative is water. Expect to have a fine meal and expect to pay a lot for it.
We dined on a slow Thursday evening with only four tables occupied. Service and food were outstanding. Scallops, goat cheese salad, crab cakes, and tuna were all delicious. Can't wait to go back for the brunch in the summertime. It's not cheap but it is a BYOB.
This was a first time visit and we really enjoyed the food. I tried the Shrimp and Pappardelle and it was wonderful. They are known for the mushroom and crab soup and it was really good. But ask for a half serving if you are also ordering a full entree. The filet was cooked as requested, the blackened tuna perfect, and we even tried desserts. The warm chocolate cake was excellent and so was the lemon layered cheesecake. Only had two complaints. The place is really noisy and four of us had trouble hearing each other, much less the server. And at the end of nice meal like that, we really would have liked to have espresso, which they don't have. It would have been terrific with the dessert, especially the chocolate. Anyway, we will go again but try to schedule it later or earlier than normal to avoid the dining room being full and very loud.
Great restaurant if looking for unique and cozy environment. Would go back again
The lovely location, and the interesting menu promised an excellent experience. The food was not of a high standard, and we were disappointed . The noise level took away from the ambience.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and wonderful place to spend time dining with friends.
Food was fresh. Nicely presented. My guest loved her choice. My chicken was salty
We eat at Catherine’s a lot. This was our first real disappointing meal. My wife’s sea bass, the special, was cold, and my filet was stringy and a bit tuff.
Good time. Valentines dinner. Pre-fix price. Love the BYO service. Susan is an excellent server.
Loud there and kind of packed in - but it’s still worth it.
Wonderful atmosphere and good!!
Service was incredibly slow. We were seated and waited 10-15 minutes before anyone came over. The menu was miss leading that you split some of the courses for their Lovers Lane menu. Then there was a long lull before we got the main course. They apologized and sad our order went to another table. There are much better restaurants around, but at least we tried it once.
Catherine’s is always great.
Sunday brunch or a dinner, you know it will be good.
This is our favorite restaurant. We have been there numerous times for dinner.
This was our first Sunday Brunch. It was a Valentine Love Brunch and it was outstanding.
I have tried every entree on the menu and have never had a bad meal.
Atmosphere, service and food - all A+. Would and have recommended to friends and family!
It was fine. We used a gift card that evidently you can't include a tip. So we paid tip on the credit card and the waitress didn't give us back our gift card with the balance left. We had to track her down... very annoying. Probably won't go back...
Excellent!!! I brought some friends from West Chester to experience the restaurant and they were very impressed with everything! They loved the food, the service, and the atmosphere!!!! They said they would definitely be back!!
We've visited this restaurant many times and it is consistancy great, they never disappoint.
It's a great place to celebrate occasions the Chef and his wife take pride in making everyone's
We had a group of six family for a special occasion. Everyone loved their meal. Service was very good. Ambiance is top notch.
for some reason they had our reservation as cancelled but the hostess seated us at a table. the food was excellent and our server was great. we both had a small plate to start followed by a pasta. it is a little noisey because it one big open space. we definitely enjoyed it
slow service to start. got better through the meal.
Been several times. Food always good, but this time the food was exceptionally good. Is there a new chef?
Great!! We sat at the front of the room by the hanging glass which helped my husband who has hearing aids.
