Great food and great service.. Cathédrale never fails me
Food and service were great. Beautiful main dining room.
It’s a great hotel restaurant. But not a restaurant for a relaxed dinner. The photographs show none of the neon signage or the bright fluorescent lights. Too much of a clash of styles to be relaxing. Our waiter was great.
Cathedral was an amazing place to try out. The ambiance , the drinks, and the smell of the restaurant were all amazing. I was a little disappointed about the host service. I made reservations for 9pm days in Advance and I still had to wait over 30 mins for a table. They had offered me to wait by the bar and grab a drink. I had to remind the host that we were waiting for a table and had to remind her the name on the reservation. I also requested a booth days in advance and was sat in the garden. Overall, it was a great experience, but my experience would have been 5 stars if it was not for that.
Would never go back here again. Has more of a grand feel through pictures, very different in person.
Breaded chicken dish was disgusting with very chewy inedible pieces. What a disappointment.
Amazing service but the food was nothing to brag about. Won't be returning!
The decor or the restaurant is beautiful. Price is reasonable for NYC, the staff were all very friendly. I ordered a bottle of wine and the manager informed me that they were out of the bottle I picked and he recommended one that was LESS expensive. It turned out to be very good.
My wife and I go out to restaurants a lot and we will definitely go back to this one.
My husband and I came here for my Birthday. It was a bit late when we came in but we loved it.
Very nice 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Food was delicious fine was on point
My only complaint was the wait time. We had a 1030pm reservation and didn’t get seated until close to 1130. We kept being told our table wasn’t ready and the guests were finishing their dessert.
Drinks are great. The San Simon was our favorite. We had oysters and braised calamari for appetizers, both were great. I had the fettuccine with truffle as my entree. Was prob one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. Dessert we had the creme brûlée which was recommended by our waiter and it was also good.
Highly recommend this place, just expect a wait time for the table
Amazing service from our waiter; one of the nicest guys. I would definitely recommend the 36oz aged steak. Although it was on the expensive side, it is well worth the money as the broth it is in is simply astounding and packs a huge amount of amazing tastes in a bite.
Great service, great food, better ambiance. Will definitely revisit this place again.
Food was great, but the speciality drink options are not well priced and mostly juice. The place is smaller than it looks in pictures and the bar area was far more lively. I’ll certainly be back, but be prepared to spent at least $80 a person without alcohol.
Food and ambiance were great, quite pricey, would likely return.
Service was excellent
Nice, but not amazing. Firstly, given the name we were expecting something as cavernous as Tao downtown, but it is relatively small. The food (with exception of the dessert!) was good but not amazing for the price, the service was exemplary though! Given the other quality venues in the Tao portfolio we agreed we’d rather head back to Tao downtown / vandal for ambiance + quality food.
Fun ambiance like at every other Tao group restaurant, but the food was very mediocre.
Honestly, I was not happy with my experience. We made a reservation and we sat at a closed patio. The patio is not a good reflection of the restaurant. The reason why I went to have dinner in your restaurant was for the ambiance and to dine at the main dining room. I was seated in the patio that had a more casual feel to it and I requested If I could be moved but I was not accommodated. I was told that I would have to wait a long time and there was nothing available. I didn’t enjoy my experience.
I would have worn my sneakers if I knew I was going to be seated there or stayed home than pay over $300 for my meal at a patio. The patio is behind the hostess away from everything. That area should be reserved for no reservation or people that request it. Disappointed. Request to be seated at the main dining area, just in case.
I took my best friend for her birthday over here and it was amazing. Our server (I forgot his name, but I believe it starts with a b) made her night very very special. The food was on point. The service was beyond 5 star. We loved everything about it. TAO group does not disappoint!
Sad that I could not use my open table gift card and it lost me $100 on my birthday and I’m sad about it :( food and service was was incomparable but I wish I could have used my gift card :/. Waiter was so nice and tried to swipe so much and it didn’t work but maybe get the app and the the restaurant in more congruency.
If I could give this AMAZING restaurant 10 stars, I would. I've never seen such a beautiful place, and the food and service was incredible. A MUST SEE!!
Great overall experience - warm and friendly greet - service team was on point as a whole, apps and main courses were fantastic - veal porterhouse was unbelievable, the aged Cote de Boeuf really good and the fettuccine with truffle aswell.
only letdown were the desserts creme caramel / carrot cake / tropézienne were all underwhelming and tasteless.
Everything was a 10/10 for me. The ambience, the service and the food & drinks are all amazing. Love the workers for their quickness with everything.
My husband and I had dinner there this past Saturday night. The service was impeccable from the lovely ladies at the hostess stand to all the service people. The cocktails were delicious and the food was good. I love the ambience the TAO Group creates.

Super fast service, friendly staff, overall amazing experience
It was a late reservation (10:15) so the scene was thinning out. Server was great — an overall great experience!
Great service and experience
Food and ambiance was great. But service was bad. They put a pressure on you. Eat fast and go!! This is really not nice.
It’s a beautiful space. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The service was good. The food excellent. The appetizers are definitely large enough to share. We had one shared veal chop and we had left overs and I had the loud de met which was excellent. We had no desserts and I was disappointed they did not have decaf espresso
The food was bland, honestly I’d only go for the drinks and ice cream. Those two were the best part as far as food, nothing special. Service was great, place was overall great as well but the food... no thank you
Love this new addition to my neighborhood. The service was impeccable. The food was simple and delicious. We shared a salad, artichokes, chicken breast, carrots and potatoes. Last but certainly not least, these two music lovers were impressed by what we heard - Tom Petty, T.Rex, Roxy Music...
Will be planning another visit soon.
It was a good experience!
Excellent service from the start to end. There appetizers way better then main course I would order only appetizers next time and skip main course. Desert menus is small but on point.
Reservations are much needed but even then be prepared to wait. We were comped a pair of drinks after 30 minutes of waiting. Then seated at 40 minutes. " we can't make people leave"
Those are the people they need to buy drinks. "Excuse me can we offer you a complimentary drink at the bar. We need your table." Food was good. Nothing amazing especially for the wait.
Would reccomend if not in a rush and want a nice trendy dinner.
Fantastic food and service. Great ambiance and decor.
Was here for breakfast. I had eggs which came soggy with very sad mixed greens and a slice of tomato. It took 15 minutes for anyone to come and say hello and offer water. 15 more minutes for coffee to come. At a busy restaurant this is almost tolerable, here with barely any breakfast customers this is terrible. Service was frantic. I watched mistakes being made everywhere. The waitresses were nice but super inexperienced. This breakfast was a mess.
Hot women. But that’s it. 😜
