Went for New Year Eve with a group of 20. Roland, Catcher's owner and Kelcy, our server were great. Very happy with food and service. Catcher's is also a good value. Highly recommend.
Just about the only ones there. Food good but certainly not spectacular.
Waitress was very friendly greeting us on our arrival and seated us immediately. They had a nice draft beer selection along with ample craft beers in bottles and cans. Enjoy the coconut shrimp and was pleasantly surprised it came with a raspberry dipping sauce which was very tasty Had the broiled seafood and it was delicious with a great presentation . Other person in party had one of their signature dishes which was Scillies and shrimp in a pineapple curry sauce with rice and that was fantastic. Definitely will be back and recommend
Very beachy, which is what we wanted. Casual, relaxed. Prices average for resort town. Food was good. Beer buckets a good value!
They were short staffed. Sorry to leave a negative review but our server was also cooking our meal! The few staff they did have were sitting down and drinking with one customer’s table at different points in the night. The crabs were over cooked. Sad to say it was not good!
Been going here for years. Great food all the time i go there. The owner knows how to take care of his regular customer base. I have been here with my daughter and she too loves the place as well. She is 9 years old. This time she did not join me for this dine .
thank you till next summer.
SEAFOOD SKILLET was okay. KEYS KOMBO was awful. Menu did not mention lobster would be covered in terrible jelly substance. I was fine with the natural climate of the restaurant, but if you want cold A/C, this is not the place.
Went on a Saturday evening in August. No crabs. No side salad option. Maryland crab soup was like tomato juice with barely a trace of crab. Ordinary food choices. Would never return.
Food was excellent, as usual. Proportions are great for the price!
Service was a little lacking considering it wasn't very busy when we were there.
Not kid friendly, no kids menu, staff was scarce, food was at best ok.
Quick beach dinner out. Decent drinks, food was fine.
The Open Table description of Catchers was pretty accurate. This is a low-key place to enjoy seafood in a beachy environment. We dined on the early side, enjoying the fact that the crowd was light. Our server was very attentive and accommodating. Appetizers were great! The crab lovers in our party enjoyed the bucket of crab legs, well-priced and generously sized. We will absolutely put this on our 'visit again' list.
Food and service was excellent.
It’s my favorite place to eat at the beach! The crab leg bucket is the best value out there. The bacon wrapped scallops are awesome! The servers are outstanding! I could not recommend this restaurant more
An OK spot, sort of typical of a beach-y seafood place. With so many others available, nothing in particular that distinguishes this one from the others. Not bad, just not special....
The server was inattentive, food was very mediocre at best. Only thing that was good was the crab legs special....
This restaurant is in need of repairs and a deep cleaning. Tiles hanging from ceiling, sticky tables, dirty floor. Air conditioner plugged into extension cord is a fire code violation. Food was not bad, but who wants to eat in a dirty, dingy restaurant?
Once again the seafood newburg was excellent, the service was effient and thorough and prices were reasonable.
Best happy hour in Rehobeth beach the bartender was extremely friendly and the appetizers were wonderful
Great food and great service.
Great staff, good location, really good food!
Felt like we had been a part of the family. Had a wonderful experience and will return!
We started our meal with appetizers, I got the crab bisque and my husband ordered the stuffed baby Bella mushrooms. The bisque was very watery, but did have a good taste. Not many shells to pick out. My husband's appetizer was delicious, he highly recommends it.
Moving on to the main course, I ordered the Dynamic Duo - Stuffed Lobster Tail & Lump Crab Cake, based on the waitress's suggestion. My husband ordered the Broiled Seafood Platter. Both of our entrees would have been very good, if only the chef would have seasoned the entrees. We added salt and pepper to our dishes, but they desperately needed Old Bay seasoning, or something similar. After all, this is a seafood restaurant in Rehoboth Beach! Also, both of our entrees could have used another minute under the broiler.
Our waitress did not ask us if we wanted dessert.
To sum it up, the meal was underwhelming. Could have really been good, just wasn't treated well in the kitchen. They need a better seafood chef.
Not planning a return visit.
well i read all the review on this place, and I dont get it. I have been going here for 4 or 5 years now and I go every time staying in ocean city with the family and the food is great. the service is ok and i dont have the problems other i seem to be reading. But i would say go and try it for sure.
Great food, and very reasonably priced... our server was a bit rude and not very friendly though I would go back.
This place was definitely less than what I was expecting. The service was not great, and the food portions were extremely small for the price that you pay. The best part.... the raw oysters. Would certainly recommend those.
Dive bar masquerading as a restaurant. The kind of dirty beach bar you went to in college. 1 server for the whole restaurant, dirty beer glasses, and underwhelming food is not what I expected.
We were very excited to be able to book a table for Catchers based on a family review. We ordered the Steam Bucket and it was horrible. The crab legs and shrimp were over done. The clams were overly sandy. The crabs and mussels were okay. The menu stated there would be lobster tale but alas there were none. We voiced our concern with the waiter and his reply was "Oh the cook should get another bag of clams and he really just throws whatever he wants into the pot." We will not be going back to this establishment. After hearing two people complaining upon walking in we should have turned around and left. Lesson learned.
no ac and it was 94° lol
Service was fast, waitress was friendly without being intrusive. Seafood entrees priced around $23-25.
We had a party of 14 people and Catcher’s accommodated the reservation which I really appreciated.
We sat down immediately upon arriving and the dinner began. The restaurant was not super busy which also helped us out. The service was friendly and very polite.
The apps and dinners were very good and tasty especially hot right out of the kitchen. Usually I review the food orders but since there were so many of us I don’t even know what everyone had. With that said, I had a Chicken sandwich and fries which was delicious and my wife had fish tacos when she said were awesome. The prices are good for a beach vacation town.
My only kinda complaint is the service was pretty slow. From ordering to meals being delivers took some time. It did not matter to us since the parking meter was paid and we are on vacation but I felt it only fair to mention. Otherwise everything was great.
This place is great!! We got all you can eat crabs (cheapest in the area) and lots of apps as they are 1/2 priced from 4-6. One of my kids asked if the crab was dead and the manager (on his own) brought out a live one and showed him the difference. The crabs were good and the server was super friendly. Is it a fancy place? Absolutely not, but that's not what I'm looking for in a crab house!
I go to this restaurant all the time when I am visiting Ocean City . I love the food and people and staff are good too.
I have a child and they take care my child making sure she is good … I like that.
Everything from the service to the drinks to the delicious food was outstanding !!! Highly recommend this restaurant. We will be back again!!!
Nice casual atmosphere. Our food was great- we had a party of 6 and everything was prepared well and the service was good. Nice selection of drafts - lots of local breweries represented.
Mediocre food in a pretty dirty environment.
Scallops were delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food. Restaurant needs an update and the bathroom was dirty. I would not recommend due to the ambiance only. Food was good!!
Horrible. Only one wine Barefoot. Food slopped on plate. I wouldn't eat there again even if the food was free.
Food we ordered was good. We were a little upset because the 2 main things we went for, crab legs & soft shell crabs, they were out of yet no one told us till after we ordered drinks and appetizers.
Friendly dining atmosphere great for a night out while on vacation at the beach.
