The Food was lovely and excellent for Gluten Free.
Amazing fish & chips! Went there before a show at the hippodrome & the location was perfect. Large portions, crispy batter & perfect chips. Would highly recommend & will be back 😊
Catch 22 is great, good location and as a pre Theatre meal cannot be beaten.
Good food and quick service, was not massively busy but and enjoyable gluten free experience.
Service not good dining experience. Food so so. Close quarter in seating.
Best fish and chips in Bristol, both in restaurant and takeaway. Nice relaxed atmosphere and good service with friendly polite staff
Best fish and chips I’ve ever had,had a fabulous meal! Would definitely return, staff were friendly
cute and themed décor, very good fish prepared on the premises, and very centrally located. What's not to like?
Lovely food and great service would highly recommend.
We enjoyed our meal early in the evening when there were few other customers. The food was enjoyable and the staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed. It was very good to find that they could cater for those in our party,a vegetarian, one with special dietary needs and three fish-eaters.
The only thing not to like , was trying to get in doorway with my mobility scooter , people were sat in doorway? Had a job to pass , though this might have been a fire risk? Good job the food was excellent let's hope you can do something about it to make easier, thank you Terry Tiley
Had better fish and chips from our local chip shop, fair price for food, drinks however slightly on the dear side. Would of been nice to have got the water requested when we asked rather than have to ask again
The restaurant has a user-friendly website, where you can make reservations in seconds. The food is nice, decently priced and of good quality. The wait staff is super friendly and will not hesitate to help or make suggestions. I would definitely recommend.
The food was really delicious, we had the same waiter all evening and he was really friendly and helpful. The portions were big which I thought was great as I'm a glutton but not all of my party could finish thier meals; personally I'd rather that than to come out feeling hungry. It will be even better once they've started doing deserts! I can recommend to anyone who likes seafood.
COD and chips amazing. Excellent service
Having had excellent fish as well as top quality service during 2018, I was alerted to the upcoming disappointment when we arrived and the place was virtually empty and smelled of cold frying oil.
Despite the lack of customers, the service was slow and the menu was inaccurate ("out of date" according to the waitress). Our order for 3 glasses of Prosecco was refused, even though the quantities and prices were on the menu. We had to opt for a bottle. My request for an ice bucket was ignored and we had to put up with a "cool tube", which was inadequate. The prosecco was not cold enough and very poor quality, despite the high price charged. The fish and chips 2 of our party ordered were tasteless and worryingly undercooked (remember that "cold frying oil" smell ?). We were all surprised that an extra £3 plus was charged for the chips, when "fish and chips" were advertised at a fixed price on that out of date menu. Surely this was illegal ???? We ate what we could and left feeling mightily ripped off by Catch 22. We now know what the Catch really is !!! £66-35 wasted. We all vowed never to go again and tell all our friends about this appalling experience. David S.
Food and service where fantastic. Slightly annoyed, as told they didn't have bourbon so had to have a more expensive single malt whisky instead, but spotted a bottle of Jack Daniels at the bar when refilling my glass.
Very good food and brilliant service. Would reccomend restaurant for one to visit in Bristol.
Pleased to be able to get fish with gluten free batter and the mushy peas were great. Very reasonably priced and friendly helpful staff. Will definitely eat here again.
The most amazing gluten free fish!
I love this restaurant, best fish and chips in the South West. The staff are very friendly and really care about their customers, the decor is fun and it's reasonably priced. Go there and enjoy
Great food, great waitress - all round fabulous experience. We will be back.
Great place for gluten free fish and chips - Very nice food
Excellent quality fish & chip supper as a pre theatre treat.
The service was great for a fast food restaurant style ambient environment.
Excellent seafood and wonderful dessert, especially the sticky toffee cake. Well trained wait staff.
Fantastic service and a lovely meal, would highly recommend!
Good service from staff who are very friendly and welcoming. Good portion size and good standard. Will try out more on the menu again.
Don't let the 'Takeaway Chippie' look from the outside put you off. The fish we both ate (Sole & Cod) was fantastic. Light, fluffy and full of flavour. Chips good and chunky. Side of gravy was delicious.
Best fish & chips I've had in a long time.
Great if like me you need gluten free fish and chips - a real treat!
Me and my family (4 people) went there before the theatre, food was very nice but were a little on the small side portion wise , will go again as it was a pleasant experience
The restaurant wasn't open and no one cared to let me know it in advance! Deeply disrespectful.
Despite accepting the booking the place was closed!!!
Found this gem while planning a day out in Bristol. I was more than delighted of the quality and the low price you pay for this gorgeous dish.
Will come back from Warwickshire in the future x
Above average fish and chips a bit pricey central location to be expected didn’t get the bread roll I ordered
But will refill tea pot quite happily, would I go again yes I would.
Great value for money and great tasting fish and chips. If you are two people buy a fish each and share a chips. Chips portions are great!
On the whole very good
Baked potatoes not cooked properly but food delicious .
Best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Delicious food and great portions. Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful. Good value and I will certainly return!
2nd visit here with friends. 1st visit with family was much better especially the service, slacked a little bit this time with incorrect orders and missing food etc. Nothing major and the food was nice and fresh and hot so always a bonus! Think the waiter was just having an off day! Would defo visit again
Best fish and chips EVER!!!
Don't be fooled by the slightly misleading front section of the restaurant, once you get inside the ambiance is lovely and fun, and the food is absolutely delicious! Friendly staff and great decor, would highly recommend this place for a fun and tasty night out!
