   best steak myself and 4 other guests ever had. well trained professional staff. very fully priced, but at full price places go, it almost felt like a value. $150 per head with tax and tip, starters, sides, and 2 drinks per person.

   All the food from the pretzel bread to the main courses of steak and branzino were absolutely delicious. Service was terrific, attentive and unobtrusive. Of course, it is expensive--it is Aspen, after all. BUT here the food is outstanding, unlike many other places. We all wished that the underlying music was much lower or even off. Most diners come to have a conversation over a great dinner. Here conversation is possible with some concentration and effort, but it would be so much better without the music that one must talk over.

   The menu does not state that the steaks would be thickly coated with cracked pepper. Some of my party found it to be just too much. Last time I was there, there was no cracked pepper! Rule #1 of Restaurant Menu design: tell the customer EXACTLY what you plan to deliver and exactly the major ingredients that are used…and do no deviate… We’ll return…

   Very cool ambiance and scene. I thought the steak was extremely mediocre and way to heavily seasoned w salt and pepper. I am from nyc and steak is my religion, and ordered the on the bone strip and was surprised to have it served to me with the meat already severed from the bone (I.e., it appeared like they cut the bone out prior to cooling and actually cooked it separately) which is an anathema for steak. I have never seen a steak served this way and, if a restaurant where to do this (think Peter Lugers porterhouse) then the meat should only be cut away from the bone after cooking. There are much better steaks and this was just not worth it and I would rate mediocre.

   I booked a table, which I know I would of been charged for if I didn’t show, and was told they didn’t have a table. They put us at the bar. When I complained I was told only large groups got tables although I saw many tables of smaller groups. When I pressed further I was told that I was lucky to be there as Catch was the hottest restaurant in Aspen. I have lived here 20 years. I would think this is not accurate and quite arrogant. Doubtful I will be back

    I don’t think I’ve ever been so disappointed in a dining experience. I had let them know ahead of the time that it was for my birthday, and this was the only Catch I hadn’t checked out so was so excited to finally try! They seated us at a shared booth table with a couple who was clearly on a first date on the other end. So uncomfortable as you can imagine. When I asked if we could move even if it meant waiting on a table, they said they were fully booked for the night (which I totally understand) but knowing that I was coming for a celebration ahead of time, what makes you think I would want to be at a shared table? I think I’m just disappointed because we truly chose Aspen over Vail due to dining options and this was a major disappointment. Additionally, the ambiance here is nowhere near as upscale as Catch Steak in Manhattan, so if that’s the vibe you are going for, I would choose elsewhere. Our waitress was really nice, but we were so ready to get out there we opted for no dessert. Moral of the story, don’t choose a birthday dinner spot based on a restaurant experience you had from sister restaurants in different cities. Do your research and ask people who have been.

    Food was delicious - two visits within the week, and both times food was on point! Very consistent. Scene is entertaining - place was packed both random weeknights that we went. Staff was just attentive enough. Great spot!

    Food is delicious. The Mediterranean Branzini perfect. Unfortunately, we weren't seated for our 7:45pm dinner reservation until 8:05. The noise level is unbelievable, partly because the music was as loud as the conversations. A beautiful space though. Service was very good once we finally got to order which took a while.

    Great meal. Our waitress was excellent. We had 5 in our group and 3 of us had the Rib-eye cap. Steak was very salty and there’s no need for that much seasoning in that cut of steak. Side portions were very small for the price. On top of that, getting booted after 1 1/2 hrs of a meal that cost north of $800 is a bit cheap. Be prepared.

    Great spot, and I know NYC is seafood, but it's also way better. 2nd time, my steak was overcooked, but this time, I was tired and just kept my mouth shut. There are several other steakhouses in Aspen that are better.

    Let's be clear, this is an expensive restaurant. However, I have eaten at most of Aspen's best restaurants and this is in my top 3. Absolutely world-class food and service. I will be back!

    We ordered 3 starters. Only 2 arrived prior to our meal. The 3rd arrived with our meal. Our tomahawk steak was cold. The portion of the sides was very small for $17-20 /each. The food was tasty but overhyped and won’t be going back. The only cool thing was Mr & Mrs Ralph Lauren was sitting at the table next to us.

    Wonderful, fun, great food, almost not as crazy expensive as it looks at first glance if you split and share dishes. Big complaint is the noise level. It’s absolutely jarring. I recommend sitting in the bar only, or going just in the summer and sitting outside. I won’t be in then main room again.

    The food was fabulous! I just wish we weren't leaving the next day so we could have taken some of it for leftovers. We came early, had a 5:30 reservation but the restaurant was basically full by 5:50 for their "first sitting". It would have felt a little overwhelming if we can been walking in at 6 but since we saw it gradually fill up, and the noise level rise, it wasn't as jarring. Just expect / know going it that it will be a loud environment.
