Used a gift voucher which we had a small amount left.
I would have happily given it to the writer but we where not offered any change they just took it.
Outsiders from a nearby pub where using the toilets.
Fantastic F and C - best I have had in a long time
Delicious! Will definitely come back for the bottomless muscles as they’re the best I’ve had in a long time!
Very nice lunch but would have appreciated being told tartare sauce was extra cost when I was offered it. Otherwise no complaints very nice .
My wife and I enjoyed lunch with the voucher you Emailed to me and I would like to say a very big thankyou. The meal was just perfect in every way and we we will be back again voucher or no voucher to do it all over again in the nice roomy comfortable quiet restaurant in another week or two
The staff were lovely and the food really good with a nice decor. Fairly quiet but it was a Monday, parking is a bonus in the area. We would definitely visit again!
Always visit Catch when we travel from Birmingham to see our daughter. Excellent as always!
Just what I expected. Good Yorkshire fish anf derks
Would highly recommend Mussel Monday, absolutely delicious. The staff were lovely and service was efficient.
Excellent seafood restaurant. Lots of choice for seafood lovers. The dishes were presented very well and tasted great. Very friendly and attentive staff. We will definitely return again.
It was a great experience just bit slow when it came to our Deserts is arriving.
Restaurant was nice and clean and food was lovely but its a bit expensive.
The service was excellent and staff couldn't gave been more helpful, however ever we thought it was a bit pricey for lunchtime,. The desserts could have been scaled down for that time of the day, they were huge. We could have got similar quality for less money elsewhere, would go back but to dine in the evening.
Fantastic meal at Catch as ever. The food is so fresh and full of flavour.
We had Oysters to start were amazing - only complaint is we tried to order more but there was only 3 left!
I also tried the salt and pepper prawn bao bun which looked small but was really zingy and tasty.
For mains I had The Swordfish with Moroccan veg and cous cous which was cooked well and full of flavour and my friends had the mixed fish grill platter which they really enjoyed. We even had desserts so left fully stuffed.
The service was great - they were very attentive but I would say the table was a bit small and we had to keep putting things on the floor.
Overall a fantastic night and will be back.
Amazing food, great restaurant and such lovely staff. Will definitely be going back again.
Lovely vegetarian chips! Service was great as always. Only a 4 stars as the mushy peas were a dark green colour and tasted a bit odd. Hope they have the regular mushy peas next time.
We had booked this restaurant at 5.pm to have fish and chips as it was very near to the Yorkshire cricket stadium where we had tickets for the 20/20 match starting at 6.30pm.
It was part of a take away fish and chip shop.
The only other people in the restaurant were a family of 5 and a couple who were eating as we went in at 4.50pm.
We were welcomed by the staff and placed our order for standard fish and chips.
The food hadn’t arrived by 5.45 with no explanation from the staff. We were getting ready to leave. When a staff member game over and our food ‘magically arrived’ .
When we asked about the delay we got a shrug of the shoulder and told the delay was caused by the take-away shop had been busy.
Great food. Lovely and fresh, well cooked. Service a bit slow and could have been more attentive.
The food was brilliant. Unfortunately there were no mussels left but my son chose a replacement which was fabulous. He wasn’t disappointed
The seafood platter was amazing. Great selection.
The setting is nice, not pretentious and good for children but also nice for couples.
We had a bit of a wait for our food but had been informed by the staff and we felt well looked after.
Will definitely go back.
Excellent food. Great service. It made for a fantastic experience
Food and service was fantastic, the team were wonderful and accommodating. My only suggestion would be to make the "Vish" vegan option available on the menu; had our helpful host Riki not told us about the vegan fish available, I'd have settled for a random mix of items rather than a meal similar to the people I was dining with. But that's all I would change.
Best Fish and Chip restaurant for miles. Much tastier than Murgatroyds and far better venue / ambience. Unbelievable lunchtime deal offer and a cheerful service all around. Can’t fault the place.
Very nice food but portion sizes very small. We ordered large portion main meal mussels and sword fish and prawns and a couple of drinks one of them being a jug of water and the bill was nearly £50.
We left and called in at McDonald's on the way home.
The fish was only just warm upon arrival and there was too much batter. Considering social distancing all dinners 4 tables were all in one area!
Bryan’s was much better I will not visit again on my next trip from London.
Great fish and chips, but starters need a rethink( the monkfish was not good at all) and the service was awful.
Serving staff were great even giving mum a card for her birthday which we were celebrating
Manager turned down the background music for us and dealt with a difficult customer professionally- the person appeared to be confused.
Late lunch so very quiet. Food, wine and service excellent as usual.
Food was excellent and the value for money was spot on, we didn’t know it but the kids ate free as it was a half term offer, the waitress was very busy but dealt with everything superbly. Would highly recommend, not a clean plate in site by the end.
Very friendly staff who went out of their way to find us a table in the sun but the service was quite slow given that we were the only diners! I would suggest sticking to the more traditional dishes on the menu. The cod with green vegetables was beautifully cooked and the fish pie was excellent however the prawn/swordfish dish did not live up to the description. It really needed a good spritz of lemon or lime juice and the paprika butter tasted like margarine. Didn’t notice the mango salsa and the salad had no dressing. The mussels were not the best but the sauce and bread were good. Our squid starter was absolutely delicious. The interior was stylish but we ate outside in the sun.
The fish chips and mushy peas were very good, but the plates were cold so the food didn't stay hot. We were made very welcome and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the 60s music in the background.
Service by the waitress on duty was not very good first he took out all day but didn’t actually write it down on a notepad. Which caused some confusion when the food came and there was first of all no bread-and-butter and we had to remind the waitress that with ordered that finally the Tata source came very late when my wife had almost finished eating her fish and chips. We were not impressed with the service on this occasion and so will not be returning to Catch for a while now.
Stunning food and excellent service for a special birthday celebration
Food as in all Catch excellent but the drinks service was very slow
Food was so good, very quick and lovely service with a smile
Excellent food and service. Very clean and plenty of space. Felt very safe.
Excellent food and service. Ambience needs more people and this will happen. We were very early evening with, initially, some noisey children but overall sound level good. Will be back next week!
Been to a different Catch, loved it.
This had different pricing from the website, the descriptions where not accurate and missed some major items, for instance the Cajun spiced prawn and crab natchos (£10). Cam with a prawn Marie rose dusted with paprika & missing the crab. The mango salad was missing mango. the portions where small. Service clearly had teething problems but could be forgiven as just opened.
Sadly left disappointing. Wanted to like catch so much.
First visit to this restaurant as we love fish. We had the halibut and it was delicious . Can't wait to go again highly recommend 👌
It was very easy to book online. Our fish and chips tasted delicious. Service was excellent. It was great to be able to eat inside a restaurant again at last. The restaurant was very clean and Covid secure.
Another super visit to Catch at Headingley. Prefer the beef dripping to the vegetable oil at Street lane but both venues are stunning. Staff are always very pleasant and attentive too. Look forward to a take away whilst in lockdown but will be back to the restaurant when we can.
