   From beginning to end it was excellent service and the perfect location to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday! We started off with some lobster Mac n cheese which was very creamy and complimented with the change in texture in the breadcrumbs. We also ordered the surf n turf, spicy tuna rolls, filet mignon, brussel sprouts and finished off with the “hit me” chocolate cake. Our waiter was very attentive and provided helpful recommendations based on our preferences/cravings at the time. By far the stars of the show were both the lobster Mac n cheese and the filet.

   I have been to Catch several times and convinced some girlfriends to drive up from OC to spend some time together for my sisters birthday. My girlfriends don’t drink but my sister and I got there early and had a few drinks at the bar with Keisha and she was amazing. That is the end of my positive experience at Catch. My girlfriends showed up about a little over an hour later and we were seated outside. We ordered and the rolls came out very slow and I had no complaints but when we would get done to about 3 or less rolls on a plate we were continuously asked if they could take away the plate …. Ummmm no there are only 5 or 6 pieces total so I’m pretty sure out of 4 girls one would eventually take it. It just felt as if they were rushing us continuously. Fries came out after more than an hour. When we finally ordered dessert, I mentioned to the waitress that it was my sister’s birthday to place a candle. I then went to the restroom.. in the restroom the girl from the bar with the brace on her leg went in with gloves and did her business and then came out and just washed her gloves and went back out… to be honest that was nauseating to see. Is there a reason that she just didn’t use new gloves? Well we got back to our table and they had already brought out the dessert, and I was sooo confused because all our other food took forever to come out and 2 of the 4 people at the table were gone. I asked a waiter for a lighter to relight the candle so we could sing and he said he didn’t have one. After we received our cappuccino not even 10 minutes passed and the manager came up to me asking for us to move to another table or the bar because they needed ours. I was livid by this point. The table next to us were some ladies who were seated while I was standing at the bar having a cocktail as we arrived at the same time. They had been seated for over an hour when we finally sat down. No one was rushing them and they had literally just left and were not even done

   Catch is a busy spot in West Hollywood. The ambiance is great which attracts the “instagram” crowd. When we walked in for our dinner reservation and went upstairs to dine we were nimble enough to dodge the many taking photos in the walkway of the restaurant (gone are the days of simply dining). We were sat at a small corner booth table which was great. We ordered drinks and received them quickly. We put our entire order in (as requested) and the appetizers were coming out on point. The lobster Mac n cheese was phenomenal. Mid way through our dinner the service took a quick downward turn. The remainder of our small share plates took incredibly long to bring out which was the opposite of when we first sat down. We spoke to our waitress to raise concern and it came down to the restaurant being busy. If that’s the case hire more wait staff. For a $50+ Negroni, and pricier food options, at least assure you have the proper wait staff to provide a satisfying dining experience. Overall, the food is good and hopefully they improve on the service.

   Food was good and service was smooth- Our server started strong but as soon as we told her we didn’t like our last dish (1 out of 7) she got weird on us then ditched our table at the end- never returned until after we paid the bill, and waiting for a bag for our leftover box… had to ask 3 times before the manager finally brought us one. Very odd- we were seated 3 ft away from the receipt yet she asked another server to hand it to us when she could have done it herself. The wagu fried rice, off the menu- special for 6/4/23 dinner service, was TERRIBLE… we did NOT ask to have it removed from the bill and left full 20% tip but only because I appreciated all the runners and bus boys who ran circles around our neglectful sever. Did not realize until tonight how bad service can completely take away from delicious food. Hopefully we’ll have a better server next time- or maybe skip this place completely since valet was a nightmare and their valet lead lady is beyond angry. Food was delicious!!!

    Horrible experience, they seated our table next to a private party of 25 apparently drunk guests that were yelling and clapping and beyond rude, the noise level was so loud it was impossible for us to hear or speak and after 25 minutes we all just gave up and sat silently, couldn’t wait for the meal to e over to leave. We came here to celebrate a special occasion and the entire evening was unbearable, the table next to us was also complaining and the response from manager was that they didn’t know the party was going to be making speeches and that much noise but nothing he could do. Midway through the meal the sat another party of 12 across from us, they arrived also appearing as through they had just left a bar, really loud and boisterous, felt like we were at Dave and busters. It was over $85 per person and we honesty would have had a better experience at the deli, absolutely would not return. Oh, and since it was Pride month and the area around restaurant was active Catch raised the valet price from $20 to $40 (Yes, really). There are a ton of restaurants nearby w great atmosphere, this is not one of them

    Requested seating with a view for my wife’s birthday dinner and we were seated near the restrooms, entrance, loud event party, and a trio of teenagers that spent more time on social media than the dinner. No where near the outside, and what little sky we had was removed once the retractable closed. We were in and out in less than an hour. The whole experience felt like a quick bite to eat as opposed to a special birthday dinner. We got crispy shrimp, Spanish octopus, and filet skewers. The portions were mediocre but the quality was good. The taste of the food was the only saving grace. Very disappointing overall. We went to a different restaurant after because we were neither satisfied with the ambiance or experience, not to mention still hungry. We did not want to end her birthday experience on a sour note.

    When in town, this is always one of my stops. Absolutely love the food and atmosphere. Sadly, this time our service was lacking. The waiter seemed to have an attitude & even more so when we asked to cancel our dessert order. We were all so full from the appetizers and main meal that we could not possibly eat dessert. Once we asked him to cancel the order, he seemed so bothered, annoyed, and over serving us. Normally the staff is excited to serve you, but can’t say the same for this experience.

    Because most of the orders are shared plates they turn tables quickly. I felt a little bit rushed, but overall great food and great service. $20 valet fee is a bit steep.

    One of my fave spots in LA. Ambience and the view are perfect, door and hostess service are professional. Good menu to choose from. If you’re looking for a date night place, friends-night-out or visiting and and just want to get a good West Hollywood vibe with “instagram” opportunities and celebrity sightings, then you won’t be disappointed with Catch LA.     I mentioned that it’s my mother’s birthday and I wanted the staff to congratulate my mother, but they forgot. The food portions are sooo tiny, even not for one people. The noise was awful, all time we just were lister to our neighbors speeches and yellings. Overall I can say that I will not be back again.

    The food was amazing, highly recommend the truffle butter filet, the pretzel bread, the surf n turf sushi roll, and the doughnuts. The decor was beautiful. Only complaint is it was too noisy
