What Insiders Are Saying
A nightclub pretending to be a restaurant, but with an actually decent seafood menu.
this place was amazing- the manager TIM was amazing , the staff were just a 10/10 I loved the food and the vibe- can't wait to visit again
expect to wait on a Saturday night to be seated but the food is good and the server was great
Servicio de malo a pésimo, la actitud de la señorita dejó muy mal sabor de boca, considerando el tipo de restaurante deberían tener mejor servicio. Fuera de eso todo lo demás estuvo muy bien.
Even though we had a reservation it took 45 min to be seated. From what I noticed, many other parties, even larger parties, get seated first even though they showed up after us. We ended being seating in the back corner where it was pound and we couldn’t enjoy the views. Our food was average, nothing that was beyond special or that really validated the price. We ended up having a good time but the beginning put a damper on the evening.
Our dinner at Catch LA is likely in my top five restaurant experiences in my life! I don't say that lightly given that I travel extensively for both business and pleasure and have been to many, many high end restaurants both domestically and abroad! We were a group of 5 on a Saturday night around 6:00pm. While we were seated a few minutes after our reservation time, the restaurant quickly filled up! We were seated outside in a shaded table on the inner part of the patio shielded from the pounding sun. The menu looked amazing and keeping with the small plates/family style dining theme, the group ordered several dishes - butternut squash spaghetti, seared crab leg, grilled octopus, fried chicken bao buns, oyster shooters with bloody marys, 10 oz. filet mignon, lobster rolls, and to top it all off the carnival doughnuts for dessert! My favorite dish was a toss up between the grilled octopus and seared crab leg. Both were simply delicious and cooked to perfection. The filet, which was prepared rare, had the right amount of seared crust without charring. Again, it was amazing. And the dessert! They're essentially donuts that you "inject" with a filling of raspberry, vanilla, or salted caramel then dipped in a chocolate glaze --- melts in your mouth --- they were THAT good! The service was great with our server Alex checking in on us regularly for additional cocktails and bussers quickly removing used plates. Plus, the ambiance was very trendy, chic, and energetic! I usually don't write so extensively about a restaurant experience, but our dinner at Catch LA was "one for the record books" of my culinary experiences. Highly recommended for groups, date night, and special occasions! Thanks for great experience Catch LA!
We were very happy with our experience at Catch LA. We had drinks at the bar before getting to our table and they were great. Our server was very good at making recommendations and making sure we never had an empty drink. Ambiance was excellent, we were a party 6 and we felt like our table was great, we were able to chat and not feel like we were extremely close to another table. Fruit plate was great, highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back!
Food, Service and Ambiance were wonderful!
However, The ladies at reception were rude, unhelpful, and snobbish....ruined the entire experience—first impression is everything. They need a lesson in smiling and making sure the guests are happy.
Food was okay...scene was okay...can say I’ve been there but wouldn’t go back.
Buena en general
My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday dinner and it was the best decision we could have made. The entire restaurant is beautiful. The service is outstanding. The food to die for! I loved everything about this place. I will definitely be back when I’m in town.
Great ambiance for date night. Service was good from the waitress. My reservation was for 7:30 and we didn’t get sat until 8/815. The food took a very long time. Food was okay.
It was a great experience amazing vibes from everyone. Food was amazing service was perfect
The staff do not care about it’s customers.
Took 45 mins for us to be seated after we had already booked our table and not once did they inform us what was going on with our table, had to ask several times. Don’t rate the food or customer service.
Such a great and special evening with UK friends visiting. Our waiter was incredible. Listened to my gluten free needs, threw in some extra dishes too. Highly recommend this restaurant. Ambience was on point & service & food were great.
I loved the food! It’s pretty amazing. The only thing I don’t like is the fact that you have to wait around 30 min or more even with a reservation.
I enjoyed it, and will return.
A great restaurant, can't wait to go back! A wonderful and dynamic menu of dishes to try. Great drinks as well.
Great Food, Great Service, Great Music, Great Vibes...Great Place!!🙌🏾
Love everything about this place, service is whatever but the vibe is perfect
Food was really good, but they only gave two hours to have dinner, after that they kick us out. The excuse they had more than 600 reservations for that night. Didn't make sense to us. Had to finish drink like crazy. :(
Pricey but amazing experience. Amazing decoration.
Amazing place with amazing food and amazing service. Did I mention it was amazing? 🥰
Celebrated my friends birthday. Even though we arrived late they gave us a really nice table. LA is a fabulous city and the people are really kind and friendly!
Catch has amazing atmosphere and views around Weho. The seafood, of course, it creative and delicious. This is a great place to go for dinner in the summer. Need to book a table!
Everything was great and delicious, except the 45 minutes waiting for the table.
It is a lovely restaurant; the manager herself checked on us several times to make sure we were well. Although it was unsurprisingly busy, we were unaffected by the slight wait times and enjoyed ourselves nonetheless.
Great experience, expect delay on being Seated even with reservations.
quite the scene.. but thats the point I guess. service and seating was a little chaotic, but everyone was friendly. didnt really care for the 'order it all at once.. (apps and courses) it helps the kitchen " demand.. literally wouldnt let us order some brussell sprouts and cut roll before deciding on on our entrees.. told us they would come back when we finalized all of our choices.. and repeated requests for a few things at the table .. that said, the food was very good, its a beautiful spot.. and otherwise we had a good time.
Fabulous - as always! The food, service and ambience was typically special.
Best dinner we had while in LA!! Thank you to Shelby and Tim for making it so great! Beautiful food, beautiful restaurant and fabulous service!!
Food was great, service was great. Small potions though
I had a great time at Catch once again, love this place. The place is beautiful, the service was great, the food was delicious. Everything was outstanding!
It's a beautiful space with great views. The food is mediocre, the service is unprofessional, and it's way overpriced. Best to go for a drink and not eat there.
Very bad and expensive food and drinks. Not worth at all.
Definitely worth that one time visit when in LA! The desserts could have been better. For the same price range as Ivy, i found the menu quite limited.
Food was disappointing. Entrees were served at vastly different speeds, the last entree came out by the time someone had already finished their salad.
Catch is my favorite place in LA to go to brunch dinner all the food and drinks are great, if I eat there everyday I don’t mind.. the only thing I don’t like about Catch I always have reservations when I come why should I wait few minutes to get seated.
They should give a drink of courtesy to make you wait for the table.
