What Insiders Are Saying
A nightclub pretending to be a restaurant, but with an actually decent seafood menu.
Waiting to long to seat.
We had hoped to sit on the patio, but it was a really warm morning. However, inside was stuffy and hot. At least outside we might have caught a breeze!
They made us wait an hour despite having a reservation.
Great place to eat. It was an awesome ambiance. I would recommend this to anyone!
Wonderful ambiance! Drinks were good, food was satisfactory.
Be ready to wait 45 min to 1 hour even if you have a reservation. After ordering food it took an hour to get the food. We had to cancel one of our orders because it was not ready almost one hour and half after we ordered it.
My daughter and I were moving her to L.A. and decided to come for dinner. Everything about this restaurant is amazing. From the entrance where there are all these hanging flowers and lights to the amazing drinks and food. We ordered small plates so I can’t comment on the entrees. We had the chicken bao buns, the cauliflower, the sweet potato gnocchi and the corn. We also ordered the yellowtail and avocado roll. Each item was so flavorful and unique. The food was amazing! We ordered the s’mores dessert and I would have to say it was just okay. We will come back every time we are in town.

Amazing food and vibe !
Great setting, very happening. Food is very good, especially tuna rice cakes.
It’s tacky and reminds me of a Cheesecake Factory / rainforest cafe. The service was incredibly slow and everything was overpriced.
Great Customer service and Beautiful atmosphere !! Highly Recommend :)
This is one of place we go regularly, we love their food especially albacore nigiri with truffle and sashimi trio are amazing, king crab tempura is another my go to. The only problem is the wait. We have been patient more than half of the time, on Friday, we set 30 minutes after the reservation time. Also, we don't get to sit in the main dining area ever, I don't know how to get to sit in that are, always back room or outside. Maybe I will request next time and see. Overall, it's great for people watching and service is excellent once you sit down for dinner.
My gf and I loved the ambience!
Food was great service was perfect can’t complain.
Just the wait was little bit too much for someone already had a reservation. The hostesses were confused one of them told me yes I do have for 4ppl reservation under my name & the other hostess was saying I have for just 2ppl so we waited for 1h I’m not exaggerating about the time.
But the wait was well deserved.
Fun, vibrant restaurant with an odd menu. Most of the selections are small plates/appetizers and individual sushi rolls ($20-30) with a few entrees. Its a great place to take pictures and see/be seen.
The server was the worse I have ever experienced. The food took much longer to come out than previous times at the restaurant.
Food and service was excellent! The sushi was fresh and the drinks were great. I would also recommend the hit me dessert to anyone visiting the area. Great decor and atmosphere. Will be back.
We made a 9:30 reservation and waited for an hour to be seated . Hostess was very unprofessional. They were tables available but for some reason they like to create a feeling that everything was booked . Horrible service.
Our reservation was at 8:45pm they let us wait until 9:20 for our table and after that wait they seated us on one of the worst tables next to the kitchen and bar . Food was delicious but the waiter wasnt very friendly didnt have any patience with us.
This place is all hype. Only reason people come here is to take a picture by the Catch sign. We waited 45 minutes after our reservation time for a table. The waitress was nice and helpful but the food is nothing special, especially for the prices. There was not one thing that really stood out to me as “wow.” For the same monetary value you’re much better off going to Wally’s or Tao. Even Toca Madera is better then here. I don’t mind spending $400 on a dinner but would never do so here again. Overall this place sucks.
Portion sizes are way too small for the price you pay. The desserts are worth going for but that’s it. Our waiter was a bit rude to be honest - I did not like his attitude. I can’t remember his name but he looked like one of the Property Brothers!
Beautiful environment with great service and food.
Always just excellent, really good service and buzzing even on a Tuesday.
Amazing food and a beautiful restaurant. Staff was wonderful
Always a solid experience with great ambiance. Some menu items are much better than others. Our staples are truffle sashimi (my favorite), mushroom spaghetti, and spicy tuna on crispy rice. Then we try a few other items, but these are a must.
Everyone gets the Hit Me for the novelty but I like the flavor of the s’mores dessert better.
Beautiful ambiance. In the summer, it’s worth waiting a bit to sit outside.
Endroit très jolie et très bonne musique
this place was amazing- the manager TIM was amazing , the staff were just a 10/10 I loved the food and the vibe- can't wait to visit again
expect to wait on a Saturday night to be seated but the food is good and the server was great
Servicio de malo a pésimo, la actitud de la señorita dejó muy mal sabor de boca, considerando el tipo de restaurante deberían tener mejor servicio. Fuera de eso todo lo demás estuvo muy bien.
Even though we had a reservation it took 45 min to be seated. From what I noticed, many other parties, even larger parties, get seated first even though they showed up after us. We ended being seating in the back corner where it was pound and we couldn’t enjoy the views. Our food was average, nothing that was beyond special or that really validated the price. We ended up having a good time but the beginning put a damper on the evening.
Our dinner at Catch LA is likely in my top five restaurant experiences in my life! I don't say that lightly given that I travel extensively for both business and pleasure and have been to many, many high end restaurants both domestically and abroad! We were a group of 5 on a Saturday night around 6:00pm. While we were seated a few minutes after our reservation time, the restaurant quickly filled up! We were seated outside in a shaded table on the inner part of the patio shielded from the pounding sun. The menu looked amazing and keeping with the small plates/family style dining theme, the group ordered several dishes - butternut squash spaghetti, seared crab leg, grilled octopus, fried chicken bao buns, oyster shooters with bloody marys, 10 oz. filet mignon, lobster rolls, and to top it all off the carnival doughnuts for dessert! My favorite dish was a toss up between the grilled octopus and seared crab leg. Both were simply delicious and cooked to perfection. The filet, which was prepared rare, had the right amount of seared crust without charring. Again, it was amazing. And the dessert! They're essentially donuts that you "inject" with a filling of raspberry, vanilla, or salted caramel then dipped in a chocolate glaze --- melts in your mouth --- they were THAT good! The service was great with our server Alex checking in on us regularly for additional cocktails and bussers quickly removing used plates. Plus, the ambiance was very trendy, chic, and energetic! I usually don't write so extensively about a restaurant experience, but our dinner at Catch LA was "one for the record books" of my culinary experiences. Highly recommended for groups, date night, and special occasions! Thanks for great experience Catch LA!
Great ambiance with great food
We were very happy with our experience at Catch LA. We had drinks at the bar before getting to our table and they were great. Our server was very good at making recommendations and making sure we never had an empty drink. Ambiance was excellent, we were a party 6 and we felt like our table was great, we were able to chat and not feel like we were extremely close to another table. Fruit plate was great, highly recommend. Can’t wait to come back!
Food, Service and Ambiance were wonderful!
However, The ladies at reception were rude, unhelpful, and snobbish....ruined the entire experience—first impression is everything. They need a lesson in smiling and making sure the guests are happy.
Food was okay...scene was okay...can say I’ve been there but wouldn’t go back.
Overrated! Came here for a date night had reservations and it took forever to get a table and the hostess was unprofessional and very rude. I’ll never come back!
Buena en general
My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday dinner and it was the best decision we could have made. The entire restaurant is beautiful. The service is outstanding. The food to die for! I loved everything about this place. I will definitely be back when I’m in town.
Great ambiance for date night. Service was good from the waitress. My reservation was for 7:30 and we didn’t get sat until 8/815. The food took a very long time. Food was okay.
