Absolutely awful. We had 730 reservations, hostess kept saying 10min left. We weren’t offer a table until 835 but left because I’m not willing to give my money to a restaurant that doesn’t care about all their customers.
Excellent service! Went above and beyond our expectations to make it a special evening!
Great food. Beautiful restaurant. The wait time was manageable as it usually takes a while to seated.
My first time there and did not disappoint! Immediately became one of my fav places in LA! And the star treatment was a nice bonus;))
Worst service. Very loud . Good food very expensive.
only got seated an hour after the reservation time. made us move from table to table. constant rudeness and very hostile towards me and my friends.
My date and I was kicked out from our table because we dined over two hours, what kind of service is that? So rude and unprofessional!!
The food is really good but the service wasn’t the best.
We had a delicious meal, but even with reservations we had a substantial wait and were seated quite late. The drinks and food were delicious, though some dishes were overpriced for the portions. Our server could have been a little friendlier, but that didn’t bother us as much. There were multiple celebs when we came, so I don’t know if they contributed to the wait, but it’s definitely a hot spot! Parking was tough so we used valet for $15, which wasn’t terrible.
This was the first time I have been to Catch. The overall meal was excellent, but I gave it a 4 only because one of the dishes was very overcooked and Catch was already sold out of the Red Snapper for 2 that was one of the reasons we were coming to Catch.
The truffle sashimi was delicious! The flavours were subtle but noticeable at the same time. The shrimp dish was also cooked well, the sauce not being overpowering but complementing the shrimp balls. The wagyu steak was also a beautiful cut of meat. The only disappointment was the octopus. The octopus was simply way too well done. The potatoes were made perfectly and it was a shame the octopus was so chewy as to be almost inedible.
A special mention to our server, Meghan. (sorry if misspelled). Meghan was able to elevate the meal by her attention to detail, her fantastic personality and truly made a good experience that much better. Kudos to my new favourite Belgian!!
The most brutal part of going to any catch location is the wait, both in vegas and LA have I had to wait 30-40 minutes to get a table WITH RESERVATIONS!!!! Overall food was incredible, way too noisy for our taste, very kind staff I’d give it a 4 out of 5
Service was poor
Beautiful setting, delicious brunch food, solicitous service, a little pricey but worth it for a birthday celebration
My friend was visiting from out of town so I wanted to take her to the "best restaurant in town" supposedly. We had brunch reservations this past saturday at 230. Once we were seated the first thing the waitress said was "you know you need to be out of here by 3:45 right? did they tell you that?" in the most aggressive way. Both my friend and I were shocked and caught off gaurd. Apparently the reseraurant was reserved for a holiday party so we had to leave by a certain time. The waitress was SO incredibly rude, speaking so fast like she didnt give a damn about any of us. we'd call her as she walked away and she purposely wouldnt answer. she even looked at me at the corner of her eye bc i said pretty loudly "EXCUSE ME" to try to get her attention and she still walked away. it was so awkward and demeaning. makes my stomach turn till this very second. we didnt know what to do. I was going to ask for her manager but I didnt want to cause even more of a scene. Our vill was almost $200. This is completely unaccepatble treatment for a high end restaurant like Catch. I am a social media influencer with over 50k followers and I'm verified, so I took to social media. Im not sure I will ever come back quite frankly.
I am a frequent diner at Catch NY so was looking forward to my visit at Catch LA. Upon arrival my friends and I checked in for our 9:15pm reservation, our hostess let us know that we needed to wait a few minutes but wouldn’t give any time estimate. We ended up waiting for ALMOST TWO HOURS. After a lengthy wait, they sat us under some crummy tent area, we asked if we could take one of the empty tables inside but they told us that there were already reservations for those tables. Well, those tables actually stayed empty for the duration of the night. For the cost of this restaurant, dining experience is just as important as the food itself and I was not impressed. Would only recommend Catch to those coming to New York.
Our reservation was at 9, we got seated by 10. The crispy whole snapper was less than expected. The fish itself did not have enough meat and didn’t taste good either.
Though the food and drinks were amazing, I was so put off by the pretentious service that I would not go again nor would I recommend it to friends. The evening started off lovely and welcoming with a beautiful ambiance and immediate service. We ordered a few of their chef’s specials to start off, which were absolutely delicious, however, very small portions. When we asked one of the servers for a menu to order more food, we were condescendingly told that the kitchen is designed to take the order all at once. She begrudgingly handed us another menu and took her time to come back to take our order. This was never explained to us when we were seated. Regardless, at $400 for a party of two, this is in no way my idea of a fine dining experience.
Waited over 1 1/2 hours after my reservation to be seated. I asked for the manager and he claims that the time that the reservation was made is not guaranteed. You’re guaranteed only to get a table. Horrible experience as these was for a birthday celebration and the night was ruined.
We had to wait 40 min for our table regardless of the “reservation”. When we were being seated they went to seat us in the back and it was my guest from Belgium’s first time so I wanted her to have the full experience so I told the host this and asked to be moved to a nicer table up front and she was snotty about it and said I’d have to wait another hour if I wanted any other table. I talked to another hostess who was happy to help and moved us to a great table immediately. The food and atmosphere was great and they gave us a complimentary appetizer for having to wait so long for the table.
We had 8:30 reservations we got there on time they made us wait for 1:20 minutes they claim they had no tables but the floor the tables were empty. We spend $200 in drinks still no table. People would walk with no reservations and they would get seated right away. Then I saw people are putting money in the hostess hand so she would seat them right away. They gave us table after 1 :20 minutes by the toilet. We asked them why can you seat us on the empty tables in the middle they said does are reserved for celebrities that may come in. We finished dinner and still the tables were empty. Overrated, no respect for the customer unless u are someone famous. Expensive and waist of time to have dinner and wait so long.
From DC visited LA for my birthday. Catch came highly recommended so decided to give it a try. This review is not about the food, service or atmosphere as they were good. This is more about management and their failure to assist me with a stolen brand new phone at their establishment. My cell phone disappeared from our table towards the end of our dinner. The phone was immediately turned off so that find my iphone can't locate it. I called the next morning to speak to a manager, however all calls go to their reservation service. I left a message and no one called me back. Then I stopped in person that afternoon and spoke to a manager (Pedro I believe) who offered to look at the tapes once the general manager gets in at 1pm that afternoon. I gave them all the information they need including the server's name (Don), the time the phone disappeared, table number, etc and I was assured I will get a call back. Nothing. Since then, I called at least 3 times a day and left messages with their reservationists, no call back. I stopped in again on Sunday night, the hostess was very indifferent and said there was no phone found- I highly doubt anyone took the time to look, and no one got back to me about the cameras. They wouldn't even let my friend (who's a senior citizen) use the restroom while I was waiting for someone to assist me saying it's for customers only. I manage a restaurant myself and I get back to folks with issues of this nature within 24hrs at most, nor would I refuse a previous customer the use of the restroom while solving an issue of a stolen item. The way they were unresponsive is extremely unprofessional. It is now almost a week later, and I still have yet to hear from them.
Food is good. Service is horrible. From the moment you walk in you feel a nasty attitude. From the host to the terrible waitress. They really need to change this. Would not recommend this place.
Birthday. Dinner was very good!
Always thought Catch was overrated until I actually went to eat there myself! The service and ambiance were splendid. The Coconut Kale Chicken Salad was incredible in terms of size and flavor. The miso cod wraps were also delectable. The Salmon Farro bowl, however, was quite disappointing. It didn't look as appetizing as it sounded and the salmon came out completely overcooked. Otherwise, my experience at Catch was very enjoyable.
I was disappointed they put us in a side room and not the main areas despite requesting it
The view and scenery is what really makes this place. Definitely worth it.
Amazing evening for my 30th birthday. We enjoyed the full lobster with broccoli and fries sides. Amazing. Would definitely recommend. Lovely setting and great service.
We had our rehearsal dinner at
food is good，everthing is good，but the service at the front of bar was rude
Sadly to say we found a hair in our food tonight, the manager was kind to take it off the bill but still we spent around 300. It just wasn’t the same. It left a sour taste in my baby’s mouth. Not going back anytime soon, too many places to go to back to the catch
Great service and great food. Ambience was amazing.
We went to Catch La for the second year on a row on Thanksgiving and for the second year in a row the meal was outstanding. The turkey and stuffing was very moist and flavorful
The rooftop entry way is stunning. My server was kind and attentive. The food was incredible. The drinks were pricey for what they were but I had two anyway. Will be back again.
Es war ein bisschen zu kalt im Restaurant, da der Tag regnerisch war. Der Rest war aber top und ich würde für jeden ‚besonderen Anlass‘ wieder hingehen, damit es für immer etwas Spezielles und Besonderes bleibt.
Absolutely delicious! Truffle sashimi was to die for. All the flavors were there an the service an ambience was fabulous!
Great food, great service, but upset about our table location. We were squeezed in between two other couples and would’ve liked much more privacy as we could hear conversations on both sides of us.
The food was exquisite!!! Drinks were delicious!
