What Insiders Are Saying
A nightclub pretending to be a restaurant, but with an actually decent seafood menu.
Had a reservation booked for a couple of weeks for two people and we had a latecomer on our trip, asked hotel to see if one more person could be added. They said that catch couldn't get a third in, but they never turn anyone away. We get there and right way I knew this evening was going to take a turn when I walked just passed the host and this huge bouncer grabs my arm and moves me in front of the host. He was a nice guy they may have been on speed, but checked reso and he noticed we had an extra. He said they should be able to take care of us upstairs, but we would have to wait longer. Checked in up stairs and the girls were very helpful, but said it shouldn't be a problem and we should wait by the bar.........70 minutes later, i pulled the pin and we went to Nobu. Empty tables were available, but yes they are reserved.
The food was great!
Enjoyed our first time at this restaurant and brought our friends who were visiting from Chicago. Service was a bit long, but the food was exceptional. Our waiter, Levi, was very friendly, hospitable and easy on the eyes.
Good food, great physical environment, but the reception folks treated patrons 'as if they were lucky' to have secured a reservation -- arrogant and condescending. The music was ear-splitting. Though there were only a few patrons at the 10:30 am brunch, they crowded us all together in one corner of the space. Again, there was nothing forthcoming from the staff, certainly no extending a warm feeling toward the paying customers. Saw the great space, never to return!
Unreal time, great food
MOST staff members were outstanding! Hostesess were passive, without eye contact or a hello upon arrival upstairs. Bar tender and server were great.
Great customer service. The Branzino & lobster mash was absolutely delicious! We came here for my Bestfriend birthday. She absolutely loved it!! Can’t wait to go back with my husband!
Waitress was super nice and recommended some incredible dishes. She was very attentive but not overly bothersome. The ambiance was lovely and the decor was perfection!
This was by far the best restaurant I have ever been too. I took my aunt for a special dinner and she was thrilled. We both had a blast and were well taken care of!
Good food excellent service Definitely will be back
The food is excellent. We had the sashimi salad, truffle nigiri, octopus and bussel sprouts. Everything was excellent. Both the bourbon cocktails were innovative, tasty and generous pours. Service is great as well, very attentive and communicative.
Food and view were excellent--service was startlingly sub-par. We arrived on time for our reservation and waited 40 minutes to be seated. After our appetizers, we were told the kitchen had to shut down because of a surprise health department visit. We waited another half-hour for it to reopen, then longer to get our entrees. Nothing comped, no discount, barely even an apology--and this with them knowing it was a 10th anniversary dinner. The attitude seemed to be: You're lucky to be here. I might recommend Catch to someone who was more interested in good seafood and WeHo flash than service and overall experience...but I'm sure not planning to go back.
Very busy. Loud and vibrant. Great roof top. Food good. A little trashy of a crowd
fantastic as per usual . great food and service. cant wait to get back!
The waitress was very pushy. She tried to upsell us at every point. Try to get us to over order food by a lot. That was a bit offensive.
It was also very expensive. And not really special.
Our waitress was fantastic and the food great! Seafood Tower and bronzino were wonderful. Roasted corn delightful! Don’t miss dessert also!
Great service, excellent and nice hosts. Probably come here twice a week. - Mauricio Cantu
Really nice for brunch from a food perspective and the place looks amazing.
However the cocktails where a little expensive, the food came out very quickly, and they put us in a corner table close to the toilets when there where many other free tables in the restaurant. We would still recommend it to anyone and go back.
This restaurant has great food, décor and music. It did seem to be unorganized, as I had a reservation and still had to wait for over an hour to be seated. I had to complain to get seated, but our waitress was great and the food was enjoyable.
It's a good restaurant but not worth it. It's really good but IDK just felt like the experience was better than the food.
Great vibe in LA. Perfect for a get together or special occasion. The ambiance is very trendy and the food is amazing. Highly suggest going and getting the hit me dessert.
What a rocking time. Yummy food. Friendly people. Excellent service.
I could pussyfoot around with terminology in an attempt avoid sounding "snobby," but I'm not going to bother. So here it is: Catch is not for discriminating diners or those looking for a cozy or romantic atmosphere. Catch caters to those who just rolled out of the boutiques with their shopping bags, or desperately showy 20-something girls and their moms.
The place looks nicer than that in pictures; but this is another establishment that, to some extent, coasts on its location.
The sullen hostesses thankfully don't represent the attitude of all the staff; the ones we dealt with inside were pleasant and energetic.
The food ranged from serviceable (some of the appetizers) to very good (steak). The prices here, however, exceed the quality.
Absolutely feel in love with this place. Everything about it.
Loved it! Great service in a non judge-mental atmosphere. Upscale and classy w/o being ubnoxious 🌟
Never got seated, despite having a reservation. Had to leave after 45 minutes to find some place else for dinner. That’s never happened to me before. Would not recommend.
Food is pretentious and seriously overpriced. The highly recommended shrimp specialty is little more than battered & fried shrimp in a mix of sweet & sour and buffalo sauce. The truffle sashimi is just a few sliced of jarred black truffle over some paper thin slices of day-old fish.
The staff is almost as pretentious as the food. When weather turned to pouring rain, we asked for a patio umbrella or to move inside. We were told that there were no umbrellas left because they had been used for every other table. In reality, umbrellas were setup at empty tables.
My partner and I left early because we and the food were soaking. We were not offered an apology for the rain soaked food we were unable to eat. Of course, we were charged for everything.
The view is nice from the terrace, but that is the only positive worth mentioning.
Bday and amazing
I made a reservation for my girlfriend’s birthday. Got there and they said we should wait at the bar and they will come get us. We waited for an hour and no one ever came. I was disappointed because I couldn’t feed my girlfriend. I got her a drink and we left. I also don’t know how anyone has a decent meal with all that noise and music.
It’s was great...except too loud!!!!
The bus boys were always trying to give us the next food course when they hadn’t cleaned the previous plates. They didn’t even take them, they just crammed the other plates on the table.
We were then still eating, literally hands in the fries, and the bus boy said “your done?” And tried to take the fries.
The water bottle on the table was asked to be filled 5-7 times and it wasn’t.
We waited 20 min after our scheduled reservation time
Food is great. Nice sushi items. Drinks are no good especially for the price. They have pre-mixed Cocktails that aren't very good and are expensive. Ambiance is nice. Also even though I always have reservations, they still make you wait at least half an hour every single time.
Sat outside with a group of 6. View was beautiful and food was delicious. This place is pricey, especially the $18 cocktails, but worth it for a special occasion.
Fab! Food was amazing. Got a table outside on the rooftop. Views were fab and service was great. Wasn’t as expensive as we were expecting.
It was perfect! The food, ambiance, staff was all first class!
The music play list was awesome! I would buy it and it was perfect volume !
WAY too expensive. I had high hopes. We spent $170 on 3 tapas and 1 glass of wine.
Food was too salty. Noise excessive. Wait time even with a reservation ridiculously long. Service wait staff excellent and friendly. Hostess was outstanding.
Great evening! Service was terrific with Albert and the hostess did a beautiful job getting us seated. The food and view was just what we needed! Looking forward to next time!
Excellent service and the ambiance exceeded my expectations. From the moment you walked in to the doors opening from the elevator. Amazing!
