Great food, friendly staff and nice ambiance. Recommended!

A lot of good items, Cesear salad with grilled prawns was really good. Chowder could have been a little warmer. I don’t drink but a nice touch with the welcome champagne.

Great food as expected from this Dametra relative. Really good variety of seafood on menu, something Carmel needed. Oysters on half shell were so good I ordered a second batch... waiter said they were fresh from the bay that morning. My grandaughter had the blackened salmon and I had the frutti di mar pasta, both delicious. Great turkish coffee, mint tea and of course baklava for dessert.

The cocktails and the caviar and champagne appetizer were good however the food (entrees/sides) was just okay.

This was the best meal we had during our recent visit to Carmel! The food and service were both incredible. The calamari appetizer was one of the more unusual and delicious dishes I’ve ever had, and the crab and shrimp pasta was incredible. Thank you all for a wonderful meal

The food was outstanding! Try the calamari steak... My mouth waters just thinking about it. Their special cocktails are also worth ordering. This restaurant is definitely on my repeat list. Excellent!!

The food was amazing, the ahi, sea bass, fish & chips, pasta, amazing! Out door seating was great we were seated the second we checked in for our reservation. Absolutely love the champagne and caviar treat upon seating. Will come again! (Improvement wise the clam chowder is a little too cream, almost looked like ranch, and needed more chunks)

Everything about Catch was outstanding.

I wrote this review because the restaurant ignored my request THREE times and it was unacceptable. I had a good dining experience at Catch on February 23; my wife and I then decided to invite a friend for dinner on March 23 at 6:30pm. I checked in when I arrived and indicated to the receptionist about my reservation. Much to my surprise, I realized the following day (March 24) that my opentable account showed that my reservation was a "no show." As a result, I called the restaurant and asked that it fixed the problem. The person apologized and he said he will take care of it. Two days later, March 26, I called the restaurant again as opentable still indicated that it was a no show. The person who answered this time asked for my phone number and indicated that he will discuss with his manager about fixing this problem and will call me back. He never did. So I gave the restaurant one more try and placed on call on Monday, March 29 and emphasized that it was the THIRD time I called and provided all necessary information relating to the date and time of my reservation. The person again asked for my phone number and said that he will call me back after looking into the issue and talking to the restaurant manager. As of today, April 2, I heard nothing back and I highly doubt anyone will ever get back to me. This is not how you ignored my calls THREE times. If you don't want to help, then just let me know instead of blowing me off like this. I hope the restaurant owner will see this feedback and hold the staff and manager accountable.

Dined outdoors for lunch. Set up was good. Food was just ok.

Great food (clam chowder was delicious), great service (offered a blanket since we were outdoors, and kept up with the heaters), strong drinks, beautiful view of downtown Carmel. Would recommend and return!

Food was cold, to room temperature, as well as overcooked.

The night started off with complimentary champagne and caviar which was fun. The staff was amazing everyone was so attentive, the owner came by a few times to thank us for coming in and to check on us, he was so friendly. The food was amazing, the lobster tails, chocolate fudge cake and champagne. This was a special holiday night out and they made it that much more special. I will definitely be back! Even better than I had hoped it would be! If you want a night out with some beautiful ambiance, delicious food, live music and great staff who treat you like family this is the place to go!

An awful birthday for me, unfortunately. Lobster tails and both shrimp platters (app and entree, looked wilted and the taste was just as poor. The ceviche was awful, tasted like a fruit salad. Our server, luckily, was wonderful as was the outdoor atmosphere, since Carmel is lovely. For $180 for two people I was expecting something much better particularly for an area as chic as Carmel. Birthday bust indeed.

We had the halibut which was overdone. Service was slow.

We have several "favorite" restaurants in Carmel and Monterey area. However, the Catch may have vaulted to the top in our first visit. We were greeted with complimentary champagne and caviar (a nice touch). The host, waiter and associate staff were all friendly, efficient and added greatly to the experience. But the food was the star of the show. The calamari and crab cakes to start were delicious while the main courses themselves were at a whole different level. Each person in our group had different types of fish and we all agreed that they were five star from start to finish. My calamari steak was easily the best I ever had. In conclusion, the atmosphere is casual but the food and service is fantastic. We will return soon.

Fish in fish and chips dish was tasteless - not even salt an pepper on it. Hardly any better on it either. Sand dabs were no different with runny mashed potatoes. Had to smother both with ketchup and tarter sauce to make it edible.
Table on slanted sidewalk was not adjusted for comfortable eating. Made it difficult to sit and difficult eat.
WE think the food situation was because of pandemic forcing them to operate under not-so-ideal conditions.

Pretty good food, but excellent service and great staff. We had a great time. Would recommend.

It’s COVID.....outside dining, on a sidewalk isn’t cool, but it’s all we have. They did a nice job of trying, but sadly, the salmon was charred, on a bed of dry spinach. Service was attentive though.

Service and food was fantastic. We had the crab cakes, halibut and shrimp tikka masala. Recommend them all!

Due to Covid restrictions we had to dine outside, street noise was louder than we would have liked but that was a city ordinance issue. Service was very good and we would definitely return.

This was our first time dining at Catch. We were absolutely delighted by our experience. The staff (Joanna and Girardo) were attentive and friendly and the food was fabulous. I had the lobster risotto with shrimp and scallops and it was the best risotto I have ever had. My wife had the almond crusted halibut and it was delicious. We visit the Monterey area at least once a year and we plan to come back here every time!

We went for our anniversary and it was so delicious! The staff was so kind and tentative. We got the Crab shrimp ravioli and lobster risotto both were so good. The crème brûlée was also amazing!

This place was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I visited the restaurant for my birthday and they did not disappoint. The service was exceptional! The food was delicious! The ambiance was perfect! The owner even introduced himself and ensured everything about our night was perfect! Best restaurant experience I’ve had this far!

Food and service were fabulous. The owner Bashir came and spoke with us for a long time, charming and dedicated restaurant owner. First time for my wife and I and two friends, for my wife's birthday. They sent over desserts to help her celebrate. Great food, lovely to be eating outside despite the reasons for it. We'll be back.

Everyone here is doing a great job under the circumstances. All staff were very kind, friendly and accommodating. Would absolutely dine here again!
