All of our beef is aged 28 days, U.S.D.A prime, hand selected for marbling and tenderness and cut in house to give you the best flavor. We also fillet our locally caught fish in house daily!
Catch 22 can cater in your home, office or a location of your choice. We also enjoy hosting special parties of up to 50 in our back dining room. Enjoy your special occasion and let us do the work!
This is a copy of my review from Trip Advisor and Yelp:
Just perfect for relaxing dinner and great food!
We arrived in Hilton Head Sunday night, hungry, and found Catch22 on TripAdvisor, and really was perfect. Our server was a fine young man, Ian, who greeted us warmly, was very knowledgeable about menu, and checked on us often, seemingly intuitive and knowing when our glasses emptied. We enjoyed the Daufuskie hush puppies with honey butter, stuffed with shrimp and crab, tasting actually like little crab cakes. I enjoyed my beef tips on a nest of fried potatoes, on mashed potatoes and spinach. My husband enjoyed the bison filet, and our friends enjoyed the (special) mixed grill and the shrimp and scallop scampi on noodles. I wish they had a blender for frozen drinks. But settled for a Corona light. Four dessert, we shared a warmed salted pretzel brownie with chocolate ganache, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream, blue berries. When we were first seated, we asked Ian if we could move to a table with brighter lighting, and he so graciously moved us. He was just absolutely wonderful. This restaurant is small and intimate, and enhanced by the soft muted vocalist 70's music in the background, and lovely decor. We were thrilled that Catch22 took a reservation, and we were able to use a 10% coupon given to us at our checkin at Coral Sands. And we were delighted to meet and praise the chef Ellie, who came out to our table. What a lovely way to start off our week in Hilton Head!
One of the BEST meals that I have had dining out at a restaurant in a long time. The food and drinks were great!!! If you are at or planning to visit Hilton Head Island I highly recommend Catch 22.
We went to the early bird special and still had a nice selection of entrees. Everything was delicious. I had scallops, another person had pork saltimbocca, and both were wonderful. Our waitress was delightful and bubbly. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
Love the good options on the early bird menu and that you are able to make a reservation thru open table. Everything rated as great . Will be going back soon
There were 3 of us Excellent food for 2 of us. The other person ordered a steak that came too well done and they had to redo the steak. It took a good while and we were finished with our food.
Always a great meal at Catch 22. Owners, staff and service are the best.
Best Pork Chop on the planet!
Very nice atmosphere. Great early bird special pricing and entrees. Good service. We will return.
I ordered the "prime rib special". It was anything but special. While cooked to perfection, it was probably the toughest piece of beef I've ever been served. My guest ordered the same meal and had the same observation. I couldn't eat it. I told the waiter about my dissatisfaction and he said "sorry". No visit from the chef and no adjustment on the bill. Clearly, food quality and the customer experience are not priorities for Catch 22.
Whenever we have guests in town, we take them to Catch 22, where we are sure to have a great dinner.
We had a delicious dinner. I had the jumbo scallops which were so tender and the ravioli with it was so tasty! The hush puppies are to die for ! The brussels sprouts were amazing. Our server Derek was very friendly and helpful. The chef is top notch. We plan to go back soon!! ( It seemed a little noisy and hard to talk and hear each other )
As usual the food and service were great. Derek, our server did an outstanding job.
Service slow, steaks ordered medium rare were overcooked to medium, fillet was tough. Garlic mashed potatoes had no character. Bread also had no character, not warm. Had been great in prior years, not planning on returning
Great evening. Excellent food, service and drinks! Thanks so much Ellie, Derrick, Penny and Gary!
We love Catch 22, great food and the best value on the island.
It was our first visit to Catch 22 and we found it to be a very good overall dining experience. Tried the beef tips and seafood sampler and most all items were very good with only the shrimp scampi being a little over cooked and tough. Sticky toffee cake dessert was delicious. Derek provided excellent service.
Fish was as fresh as you could possibly get, and the duck was excellent. Don’t hesitate to go, everything was outstanding.
Derek was a great waiter and catered to our kids with great service. The food was delicious and one of the best prime ribs I have ever had !!
Small but very friendly. Excellent food and thoughtful wine and food choices. A little hard to find in the dark without google maps but well worth the search. Will return next vacation.
Just the best atmosphere for a bar side dining. Wine special is phenomenal. Daily special never disappoints
The food was very good and price was great for early bird special. Will return on our next trip down to South Caralina.
We wanted to try Catch22 since none of us had been in a long time.
We all tried different items including the early bird and everything was great including the happy hour drinks
We will return sooner and our Waitress Meghan was outstanding
Wonderful seafood! Would definitely go back again!
Ate there on 9/30/19. Located in a strip mall it doesn't look welcoming. Open the door you are warmly greeted and quickly seated. (suggest making a reservation - place fills up quickly). We had the Mixed Grill and the Shrimp and chorizo penne pasta. Both dishes were excellent.
We went for prime rib - it was excellent. Tender, medium rare. Small, tender French green beans. 6 oysters at a reasonable cost completed an excellent meal.
It was our first time to Catch 22 and we were very impressed. The food was excellent and our server was incredible. We had a large party and they settled us promptly. We will be going back in the future
Catch22 has the best food on the island. We eat here multiple times a week during our vacation: I typically get the mixed grill and have never been dissatisfied. Everything is delicious. Don’t forget to order the Daufuskie hush puppies.
Waitress was very friendly and helpful.
I really enjoyed the experience there, the staff the ambience. The execution of the food could be a little tighter, they don’t quite meet the Quality you would expect from the price point.
I got a bad piece of fish -cobia- I couldn’t cut it with my fork and it tasted like a piece of blubber. When I sent it back, the server told me that he tasted it and it was ok to him. They didn’t offer anything as a substitute. I sat there with no food while my husband hurriedly finished his dinner so we could leave. The server acted like nothing ever happened. When we were leaving he said “Come back soon and see us “. We will not be returning.
Don’t let the nondescript facade and location deter you from enjoying Catch 22. Beautiful decor and delicious food. The hush puppies are the best I have ever had.
Best restaurant on Hilton Head!! Food is superb and service was awesome! We love it!
Always a good meal at Catch 22, new deserts and kid friendly.
Nice hidden gem in Hilton Head. good food, great service.
Awesome menu, great service, fantastic food. Restaurant was highly recommended by concierge at our resort and he was not wrong. We loved everything about Catch 22. Best hush puppies ever!
Hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. Derek, our server was AMAZING as well. The owner even stopped by and gave us complementary apps to celebrate our birthdays. Highly recommend and will be back!
We went to Catch 22 for the first time on our 47th Anniversary. Lynn was our server and outstanding, both in personality and knowledge of the menu. I had reviewed comments of others online prior to making the reservation, so had a bit of knowledge ahead of time. Most everyone raved about the Daufuskie hush puppies, so we had to try them. We found them a bit greasy and not worth the calories, especially since we knew we were getting dessert. I look at a menu and think are there multiple items here that I would order, and the answer was a resounding "yes". My other criteria is "would I order that same dish again", and in my case it was another "yes". I had the Eggplant Napoleon, which was very good. The eggplant was not soggy like it can be, and the sauce was great. I am not a fan of spinach, but this was cooked just right and very tasty. The parmesan risotto was a bit pasty, but risotto is hard to do anyway. My wife ordered the crab stuffed lobster tail and said it was just OK. She regretted not ordering the pan-seared jumbo scallops, but didn't because the ravioli had goat cheese, which she doesn't like. Maybe next time she asks for a substitute pasta?
The wine list covered all the bases and price points, we enjoyed an inexpensive Malbec. For dessert we ordered the peanut butter sushi which everyone online raved about, and the toffee cake with ice cream. The sushi was good, but you better like peanut butter as it dominates the dish. The surprise of the night was the toffee cake, it was magnificent!!!
The restaurant is a bit outdated and weird how you enter through the bar, with the hostess stand on the other end. We had a table in the back of the house, which I would recommend. Overall, it was a great night out for a special occasion, with a superb waitress and a new restaurant to add to our list of "go to's".
Food and service were great. Party of four with different meals. We all enjoyed our meals.
Pleasant dining experience. Service was good. Food was good. Dining room was nice. We had a large group and it went smoothly. I will return.
