brilliant food, location and nice place
Service was very very slow when we wanted or bill
Lovely food , fish stew was delicious- service a bit slow with a long waiting time between the starter and main course .A high level of noise coming from the bar below but lovely food and good size servings - would definitely recommend
The place is really relaxing and the service is very good.
Erika in particular is a great host.
Very good also the fish.
Food was delicious and serving size was very generous
Excellent food, great ambience and excellent service. We will certainly be back again.
We had fabulous meal with great great server. However, although opentable had confirmed our booking we were not expected and that had happened to an awful lot of people. So the restaurant was fully double booked. Now it was Christmas Eve so it’s an important night to get things right. If it wasn’t for the fabulous waiting/kitchen staff our night would have been ruined.
No lift and had a man on a crutch with us who has mobility issues.
They tried to squash 8 of us into a table of 6. Waited 1hr 45 mins from ordering to eat and we had two children. No bread or any starter offered.
Food was good when it eventually arrived. Communication skills non-existent with the staff.
Won’t be returning.
Visited Catch 22 for first time on Christmas Eve as spotted it on Open Table. Food was really nice but our lasting memory was the patience of Eoghan our waiter. He was deserving of a gold medal for the calm way he handled two customers who came in demanding a window table on what’s probably the busiest day of the year. We felt sorry for him as these customers were totally obnoxious but he handled the situation in a very professional manner.
He is a great asset to Catch 22 and we all look forward to visiting early in 2019.
Booking was for 1pm, one of our party was 15 mins late but we ordered as soon as she arrived. Starters came 30 mins later, followed by mains. Steak was well done despite being ordered med-rare, otherwise food was ok but an extra portion of chips took forever. As soon as mains were cleared we were told they needed the table for a big group. We still had wine to finish and weren’t offered dessert. They just wanted us out.
Early evening meal. Sat down for 5.45pm upstairs at the window. Luke was our server and he was great. Energetic and knew his stuff, knew the menu inside out. Service was quick and the bill was more than reasonable. €8 for a glass of wine a little on the steep side but other than that great value. Will definitely be back.
I can definitely recommend this restaurant. The quality of seafood is good, and how to cook is also good. Waitress or waiter always run for quick service. You should visit this restaurant, if you want to Irish seafood and local dishes.
Fantastic scampi and a very tasty fish pie
