Very loud from the multiple TVs . I was expecting more of a pub feeling . Got more of a sports bar . Tables are way to close to each other and the servers seem to be more interested in each other then serving . Probably wont go back
This place was recommended to us. We were just there for the weekend but would most definitely go back when we are in Charlotte.
Great! They had some live music which was nice. Food was solid.
Good very good
Enjoyed sitting upstairs, it wasn’t as loud and could enjoy my date.
excellent service with a good menu selection - food was very good
conveniently located, friendly staff, great greeters, and always a reliable reasonably priced pub or pub like restaurant. Give it a try! Les H
We reserved for Queens Feast, the food was great and prompt. The upstair atmosphere is more like a frat house, the flow does not carry on upstairs. It doesn't feel cozy, which walking in the front it gives off that vibe. I felt more like I was thrown out in the pasture. It was very loud and couldn't hold a conversation with yelling. There need to be some sound buffers and turn down the music, no one wants to yell at dinner. The food was very well cooked, loved the steak and crab cakes. The cookie skillet was soup by the time it came to the table and one cookie, I didn't eat.
If the overall experience was better, I would say I would be back but the great food alone doesn't warrant a 2nd trip.
The specials for restaurant week were delicious. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
We enjoyed our visit very much. The food was excellent as was the service. Definitely going back to try some of the other dishes.
Out first time here. We went for the Queen’s Feast. The food was delicious & came out quickly. Our server was awesome! Great place for “pub fare”. The downstairs area was very loud with people trying to talk over the musician (who was great, btw). If you want a quieter experience, ask to eat upstairs. We’ll be back. The menu prices are very reasonable.
We visited Caswell during Restaurant Week on Thursday-it was our first visit. Honestly, we were surprised that it is basically a sports bar, as the exterior doesn’t portray that. But, we had a solid first experience, the service being excellent, and the food surprisingly tasty. For a casual evening this is a fun place to go!
The food, for the most part, was quite good. Loved the location as a whole. Would not recommend it for those looking for a quiet, intimate night out. It's not that kind of place. But it would be great for friends going to hang out after work and have a beer or something. They had trivia night the night we were there which I got the impression is a regular thing on Thursdays.
Went for Queens Feast restaurant week. Menu was good representation of food items. Enjoyed the mushrooms stuffed with seafood appetizer. Good amount of seafood in the stuffing and served hot.
Would definitely dine here again.
Charming and cozy, with a lovely view of the city skyline. The food was very tasty, and thanks to our lucky timing, we were able to partake of half-price appetizers and a half-price bottle of wine!
The food was absolutely delicious and there is such a cozy atmosphere that it makes for a very pleasant dining experience.
I felt like I was eating at a bar. Nothing about that place should have even been considered for restaurant week or have the prices that they did for the food they serve.
Service was very slow at first but did pick up. Food was average and if not for the Queen's Feast deal, it was not worth it. It was so loud, you could not have a conversation. It's a bar with multiple tv's and food. Nothing more. Won't be back.
Service was slow and hardly available. Food was subpar and portions were way too small.
Went for restaurant week, food was good! Service was a little slower, but they were slammed at the time. Overall a good experience!
If you are looking for a bar to drink a beer, get some food, watch a game and mingle - this is it. If you are looking for a place to get a great Restaurant Week Meal with a group of people - this is not it. The food is great and the chef does a great job with presentation but it's so loud. And to be honest, the servers leave a bit to be desired. Our server just kind of sucked but I'm chalking that up to the fact that it was crazy busy and they got overwhelmed very quickly.
Great apps and main course.
Dessert was just ok.
Server was very attentive.
Overall very happy. Will plan another night out there
Overall great, friendly service. Fiancé and I went during restuarant week and each did the 3 course meal w choice drink of beer and wine. Everything BUT my choice of steak was exceptional. The manager was really nice and understanding, allowing me to choose another entree on the menu. No complaints here. Only reason I decided on 4 stars and not 5 is because I was disappointed with the steak.
Well restaurant was great but after leaving our family received $60 of parking violations in a vacant lot across the street- ridiculous! No parking on the restaurant property at all and we had reservations! We will not be back! Guys I grew up in the DC area and we never had problems like this - you need to figure this out!
Great place to grab a bit or brunch. Worth it!
They were out of Yuengling, Kolsch and Michelob Ultra, our three first options for beer. At the end our first round of drinks was deducted from the check. Fair enough! Overall , it's a nice place! I believe we'll be back there!
Great food and great service. Was a bit too loud however.
Food was good for the price paid. Portions were generous. Service was fair due to the wait staff being understaffed.
More sports bar than restaurAnt. Too many flies inside with open doorways.
So, this place is good, but from the descriptions and menu, I was expecting something a little nicer. My bad for not doing and extra check. If you are looking for a sports bar or some fun on the patio, seems just right. I was looking for something a little nicer, a little more ambiance, and a little more formal service. It may be perfect for Saturday football but i needed a bit more. Please, I don't want to sound snobby, just misinterpreted what I saw on Open Table and read in the reviews. It is very casual. The look and prices led me to believe it would be a bit more.
Went for brunch and
My friends and I went in on Sunday (8/25) for brunch and had a great experience! The food was great and the service was even better! We sat inside and they weren’t packed, so it was great not feeling rushed or having to yell to have a conversation with my friends.
It’s a quaint little spot, It looked like a southern home. The parking, wasn’t great, we parked at Showmar’s and walked over. I think the free yoga class that was being held out front, took up all the parking spots. The food was excellent, at a great value and the service was wonderful.
Good food, a mix up with a reservations request resulted in management giving us a free app. Cool spot to grab a bite and watch a game. Looking forward to going back!
The food and service were fantastic. It was our first visit there and I dare say we’ll definitely be back!
We went for brunch. It was entirely adequate but also not-at-all special. A couple of dishes were not as expected, one side was not what was ordered. We did not complain, so did not test their "service recovery" skills.
Terrible service. Food and drinks took forever to arrive. Waitress was no where to found seemingly the whole time.
In town on vacation and stopped here to watch US Women win the World Cup. Wish we lived closer because this would be our hangout! Great food, great atmosphere...highly recommend if you like to enjoy eating g and drinking!
Food and service were amazing. We will definitely be back.
Amazing food!!! Can’t wait to go back!!
