About Castle Falls
Situated on a historic 5-acre property and surrounded by natural beauty, open patio area, and vine-covered pergola, Castle Falls is a unique restaurant that is expansive and intimate at the same time.
The Castle built in 1945 and styled as a Chåteau de Normandie offers The Cellar for intimate casual dining with 9 tables and The Primrose at Castle Falls features a five course dining experience; both opened Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening by reservation and any day with prearrangement. Castle Falls features Euro-American cuisine. Though many still fondly remember the Keller in the Kastle from the 90’s, German cuisine is no longer served.

Castle Falls Ratings and Reviews
Resturant was greayt but Open Table was lousy. I wanted a reservation for Valentines day and your site wouldn't let me make a reservation so I changed to Thursday and your site worked fine. When I got to the resturant on Thursday they told me that they had plenty of tables Wednesday night and they could have seated us easily. I won't be using your site in the future if it doesn't work better.
Castle Falls was an absolutely amazing place to celebrate our anniversary. We tried the five course meal option where we were given the specials and only had to choose the main entree. Well worth the cost and experience of food. Wait staff were professionals and accommodating. I would highly recommend this place for a romantic and /or quiet evening with your significant other as I did.
Planning to return for Valentine’s Day for their special.
We heard about castle falls about 2 years ago, I’ve passed by the sign for hearts thinking it was an apartment complex (because of the area), but was surprised to hear other wise.
I asked for the primrose expierence, we were seated in the library, table for two very romantic setting, my wife and I were able to hold conversations all night, the staff wasn’t over checking on us, the courses were fresh and on time, the entire expierence was wondeful.
I got the ribeye and my wife got the filet, both incredibly tender, the crab cakes had the crunchy crust and warm flaky on the inside, the Cesar salad was the best ive had in the city, chef grilled the romaine lettuce prior to serving which was PHENOMENAL! The shrimp soup had a gumbo type feel to it.
I not a dessert person but what seemed to be a chocolate mousse cake was very good.
The staff was friendly, personable, professional. She made our expierence even better since it being our first time there, answered all
Our questions with confidence, made sure we weren’t allergic to anything (primrose expierence the chef has the menu made you choose your own entree). We will be back for sure!
Do not let the location change your mind about trying this hidden gem, the atmosphere alone makes sure your expierence will be personal as well as personable!
My husband and I decided to come to Castle Falls for a date night, and I'm glad we did! I had the filet while my husband had a lobster linguini. My filet was cooked perfectly, and the blue cheese mashed potatoes were even better the next day! My only complaint would be it seemed as though the garlic in my husband's linguini was a little overcooked, but the overall flavor of the linguini was still delicious! In fact, we were quite surprised by how many large chunks of lobster were actually in the linguini! Our server, Van, was very attentive and did a great job! We will definitely be coming back again in the future!
The house prepared food is generally excellent and the staff is fabulous, appearing to love their jobs and to truly strive to do all possible to please the customer. The general meal experience could be exceptional with a few tweaks and would make the prices worth the offering. The soup was flavorful, but should be served hot, not lukewarm. Bread also should be served very warm and offered in more than one lonely, cold looking flat biscuit per customer on a large serving dish. That is a poor presentation for this level of dining. Also, a restaurant of this caliber should not serve butter frozen in foiled pats but rather in open pats or ramekins (or even better, serve flavored butter). Desserts should be checked for freshness. Your customers will notice when they are not and will not appreciate the lack of attention, as happened to us. One frustrating issue with many restaurants is that they often seat customers to accommodate the waiters rather than to enhance the customers’ experience. Most customers don’t want to be stacked in like cordwood when there is other open seating available. A bit of space between seated customers can make the difference between a pleasant meal and a tense whispered, “hurry and finish so we can get out of here and have a private conversation” meal, never to return. At our visit, several couples were seated within three feet of one another when there was other available seating. Everyone was afraid to talk since the small room size and low ceilings amplified every word uttered. It is hard to enjoy one’s food under that level of cognizance from fellow diners. Please rethink seating processes. Also, please rethink the dollar-store bud vases on the tables and insufficient lighting. What are the shadows hiding? On the plus side, the restaurant is successful in their efforts to provide cozy seating and soft furnishings with ambiance for a special dining experience. They have a great place for destination dining.
We arrived and were seated in the library. We were the only ones in the room for an hour and 15 minutes. Since we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary it was perfect. The service was excellent from everyone especially Shelina. Having the five course meal was very enjoyable as we were treated to unexpected and delightful offerings that were well prepared and unique. It created a memory that we will be able to reflect on in the years to come. Very nice! We enjoyed that a great meal for that hour and 15 minutes. Since we were enjoying a five course meal it took longer than that to complete the experience and when four other people were brought into the room for their reservation everything changed. The room ignited into loud speech and we lost the quiet intimacy that we were enjoying up until that time. The waitress, Holly, who was taking that table was very sweet and was attempting to help them in every way possible. However, just a thought, Holly could attempt to speak a little more quietly when others are present in a small room enjoying an intimate meal.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and we will return for other special occasions in the future.
My boyfriend and I had the pleasure to have Shalina has our waitress, she was very welcoming and was very knowledgeable of the specials and choices. Her friendliness made dinner enjoyable. The Caesar salads was great! Very neat atmosphere, especially during this holiday season.
It was our 23 wedding anniversary and the food was amazing. We have been going there off and on over the years and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. Would highly recommend for special occasions or just a romantic evening. Thanks Castle Falls for a great evening.
Cannot express how great the experience was at this restaurant . The ratings above are in no way an fluff but genuinely top shelf. The chef (Dave) came out and greeted us and was very friendly and down to earth. The food, mine was the best filet I have had in 10 years. My wife loved the scallops in the pistachio encrusted demi over pasta.
Perfect and delightful experience
We loved our dining experience! The food was prepared to perfection, and my husband and I both said that we would order the same dish again. Castle Falls' ambience is one of my favorites in the entire city; even in the main restaurant, you get privacy and personal attention. They even took us out to our car with an umbrella at the end of the evening during a storm. The whole experience is romantic and peaceful, perfect for a serious date or special celebration like birthdays or anniversaries. Everything from the grounds to the restaurant ambience to the service to the food is worth it! You will not be disappointed. Go relax and enjoy your dinner!
Food was AMAZING! Crab cakes, Lobsters bisque yum - Ribeye BEST we've ever had! And perfect to split at 14oz and you know a good Place when they split it for you!! To full for dessert but since they knew it was our Anniversary -Chef had prepared a beautiful piece of KeyLime pie on a plate with Happy Anniversary written in chocolate and a heart so we couldn't resist and again Yum 😊 The ambiance was great and waitress very attentive! We will definitely be back in cooler temps to enjoy the Beautiful Gardens and eating outside. Thank you again for making the day even more Special. Our Compliments to entire staff.
The food was fantastic and well crafted. Our server was very engaging and friendly with wonderful suggestions and took very good care of us. The evening we were there was a rare one, as my date and I were the only ones seated in the Primrose seating area until 20 minutes before we left, giving us a very romantic and quite evening. We both did our own entree selection and had far more food than the two of us could eat, so selecting only one entree to share might not be a terrible idea; it is a 5 course meal in the Primrose.
The building itself and the walk up to it was very attractive and well kept, setting a very enjoyed atmosphere from the first moment.
The pork tenderloin was particularly enjoyable, as was the creamy mushroom soup.
We will definitely be returning to check out The Cellar to enjoy another taste of Europe. Definitely worth visiting!!
The food was great and the scenery was awesome. But the two young lady's that waited on us was the best part, my wife doesn't like a lot of new food and they noticed that. So they brought her out some different food during our 5 course meal to accommodate her liking. I think they were the best people I have encountered while eating out.
Exquisite is all I can say. Everything was over the top the atmosphere was very relaxing and romantic the building was beautiful the service was amazing and the food, omg the food was unbelievable. I had the rib eye she had lobster Mac and cheese they knocked it out of the park!
