We offer casual waterfront indoor and outdoor dining at the islands oldest restaurant. Beautifully remodeled in 2007, our full service menu features Seafood, Sushi, Steaks, a full liquor bar and 32 Beers on tap. We were recently featured on Guy Fieris Diners, Drive-ins and Dives so make dinner reservations a day or two in advance if you can. We serve breakfast lunch and dinner and highly recommend making dinner reservations. We do not accept reservations until 4 pm but we are open all day everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday and welcome walk-ins anytime.

    Food was great, but service needs to be better paced. Our entrees arrived before we finished our appetizers. We asked if the entrees could be held until we finished appetizers and were told “you dont want to be behind that 15 top.” We had to help clear our table to make room for the entrees. Our server didn’t appear until more than half way through dinner when we ordered wine which didnt arrive until til we were done with our entrees. Our bill was presented with our dessert.

    We had a fantastic experience for my dad’s 50th Birthday at Castaway! It was our first time dining and our server, James was so knowledgeable about the menu and all of the fish offerings within the menu. I also have a severe dairy allergy and felt so safe and comfortable eating at this restaurant. We had multiple servers and managers check in on us and everything was beyond amazing. We started with the Tunachos, Lumpia, and New England Clam Chowder. For entrees we had the Wreckdiver Lionfish, Fried Coconut Chicken, Grilled Mahi, Poke Bowl and Baja Fish Tacos. It is very rare that we can go out as a family of five and all have a fantastic meal. What a great way to start our vacation!

    Wonderful meal. Staff was well informed on local fish and best ways to order. Manager was very friendly and made sure all needs were taken care of. Highly recommend!!!

    I can't say enough about our experience at Castaway. First, Michael was a fantastic server. He went above and beyond to ensure we had an amazing dinner, and his recommendations were spot on. When we go back... we'll be asking for Michael. Second, the sushi was SO GOOD! We had sashimi (the Lionfish was incredible) and rolls were creative and very fresh. They have a great cocktail list... we were very pleased with their sake and their Key Lime martini. Lastly, we loved the atmosphere! We sat outside and the view was gorgeous. We also loved the outdoor bar area when you first arrive. They are pet friendly which we love so we'll be bringing our pets with us next time. All in all, we highly recommend Castaway!

    We made reservations at 5pm and had no problems getting seated immediately. Our waiter Brian was fantastic. We leisurely enjoyed our drinks, appetizers and entrees without feeling rushed. The food was really good. My husband who hates seafood had the hamburger which was cooked to his satisfaction. I had steamed clams, conch fritters and the stuffed lobster. All was very good. We will definitely be back. Thanks to our waiter for telling us about the manatees.

    It’s a hidden(literally) gem in Marathon but once you find it, you’re in for a treat! Staff was all welcoming, especially our wonderful waitress, Janelle. She steered us in the right direction for our dinner. I tried the porgy(mild whitefish) and piña colada rice, delicately sweet with a hint of pineapple!! My husband had salmon, rubbed and nicely topped with Wreckdiver (?) sauce. Delish! The restaurant is most casual and friendly, I highly recommend you find it and enjoy!

    Kasey was our server and she was amazing! Not to mention the food was to die for! We had a little bit of everything but the wonton sushi nachos were the best! Listen to aka set she knows the menu is huge and there are a ton of options but she walks you through it step by step! Highly recommended!

    The lobster in the enchiladas was bland, lacked lobster flavor, and was overcooked. Maybe because I'm used to northern lobster that is full of flavor? While using the facilities prior to eating, I was overcome with fumes, mostly chlorine. My eyes watered and slammed shut, my throat burned, and I started coughing. I thought I was going to pass out. I informed an employee about the issue, and he told me there had been an issue with chlorine the previous day. After catching my breath and clearing my eyes outside, I returned to my table. At no time did any management or any staff check my well-being. The service rating given is for our server. She was the best part of our visit. The place was cool looking (ambiance rating), and the reason we were there was because it was on DDD. I won't be back.

    Our table was under an extreme high fan and asked to turn down. They stated they could not but did not offer us another table. By the time the food was ready it got cold fast. Food was ok, nothing to write home about.
