Set within CAST, a hidden gem in the heart of Helston, CAST Café offers delicious, seasonal food and approachable natural wines, delivered with warm and welcoming service. We overlook the quiet side of Helston, benefiting from views of its historic homes and rolling hills which can be enjoyed inside our bright and airy dining space or on our tranquil, sun trap of a terrace.

Equidistant between Penzance and Falmouth, on the northern end of the Lizard, we're surrounded by incredible produce. We have the pleasure of working with a small selection of wonderful people that grow, rear and catch remarkable ingredients and our menus reflect this, changing regularly (if not daily).

CAST Café is run by the duo that set up and managed Argoe (as Restaurant Manager and Head Chef for 3+ years), which received and maintained numerous accolades under their management. The couple are thrilled to now venture out on their own, continuing to offer great food and hospitality in this beautiful setting.

Every single time we visit CAST Cafe this year it’s been a gorgeous time: always gorgeous food, incredibly welcoming service … a beautiful room .. and what a play list. Worth travelling to Helston from not just London, but even Penzance!

Lovely to be back at Cast. Always Love the atmosphere here. Under new management fairly recently and they haven’t disappointed. Delicious food and great wines. A lovely spot for a Saturday evening or weekday coffee

Cast is a very welcome and well designed cafe restaurant. Since the new owners have taken over the cafe they are now beginning to open up for evening dining. Saturday evening was a calming and gastronomic experience. The menu is fresh well executed and interesting. Home made pasta amazing pork and potato dishes. But this menu is always adjusting whilst continuing to keep staple favourites. The plates are small and a selection of at least 5 for 2 people is a good start (you can always add more). They arrive as and when they are ready so always freshly prepared and not standing on the pass waiting for other dishes. It is run by a very welcoming and enthusiastic couple who love food and wine themselves.

Just an epic evening! Beautiful setting, especially at sunset. The most attentive staff, with incredible cocktails and the food was out of this world. Definitely the yummiest chicken pie I’ve ever tasted! Thank you.

The team at CAST Cafe consistently serve delicious lunches, so when they started their Saturday dinner service last week, we were keen to go. We weren’t disappointed! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is warm and attentive. They serve small and large plates and suggest that diners share dishes. We enjoy this way of eating and it’s a great way to sample all of the food on the table without getting your hand slapped! Every single dish was excellent, with special mention to the belly pork and chicken pie. Highly recommended!
