Cassis is a great place for Sunday brunch. Large selections and great prices.
Great food, and good atmosphere! We discovered Cassis one week before and decided to return for an early Father's Day brunch. We weren't disappointed. Everything was delicious! We'll be back. We live in Tampa, but it's worth the 30 minute drive.
Brioche French Toast!
This visit was only disappointing with my lunch entree...avocado toast I would not recommend this or order it again.
it was luke warm at best and extremely dry. The potatoes served with it were equally as luke warm. My friend had the grilled grouper sandwich which she said was very good.
Otherwise, our server Joe was great as usual!
I am a regular at Cassis but on this visit the omelet was dried out and overcooked, as was the potatoes. Maybe the chef was on vacation.
We dined at Cassie's first time on a late sunday evening so not much traffic and got immediately seated. The menu was a bit unusual but we asked questions and found what sounded good. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, the presentation was excellent and taste was exceptional across the board. The wine and beer lists were short but we found drinks that were adequate. Overall we were very happy with our dining experience and the pastry/gelati shop next store capped off a perfect evening.
Great spot but if you added a few brunch items for kids it would be a home run!
Food was good but overpriced. The little desserts were great. Parking is terrible.
The staff and food and everything was fine. I’ve dined here many times and I will be back.
Brunch with my college roommate. Good variety and tasty food. Loved eating in the outside seating.
We were seated outside and trying not to sit right next to the table near us we sat near the planter which was butted up against our table and the iris leaves were overhanging our table and sticking Us in the face. The hostess said I'm sorry I can't do anything about that. So we had to move closer to the people next to us. Anyone could have come out with a knife or a pair of scissors and cut the plant back at the base just gour leaves. Protruding into two seats..so that the people sitting at the table will not be stuck in the face by the plant. I then ordered a Ketel One coffee martini and the waiter came back and said they can't make a coffee martini with Ketel One that they have a special coffee Martini concoction they must use. So we ordered a bottle of Rose. When the lobster came, we needed a chisel to get the lobster out of the shells it was stuck in there so hard we had to use our knives to pry it out around every edge. The green beans were overcooked and everything else was good..the bread was fantastic and the tomato avocado mozzarella and pesto salad was delicious.
Wonderful breakfast special: Lobster Benedict. Yummmm!
The food was cold and service was poor. The food was disappointing from the reviews and the French toast was made out to be amazing and was the opposite. I also had hair in my salmon benedicts... booths were sticky and dirty. I was surprised there was such a long wait at the door
Great ambiance as we watched people walk by, outdoor seating. The salads we ordered were very good also.
Received a recommendation from a friend. Unfortunately we were very underwhelmed with the whole experience. After the first server tried to explain that the wine had no cork and that it’s my tase I was already a bit surprised. The manager finally tasted the wine and agreed that it had cork… four wines later we found a wine which was dry...we ordered the Delmonica steak with asparagus and mashed potatoes. To our surprise the mashed potatoes were the best item out of the three. The only positive thing was that the manager was serving us as well as a dessert selection. I would not recommend this place for dinner maybe for dessert...that’s it. Overall experience was subpar!!
Second time I’ve been here and had the blueberry pancakes. They were amazing. Good food, good service and good location. I’ll definitely be back.
Very good service. We were there for my niece and daughter's graduation celebration. They presented a very nice desert box and congratulations written on the plate to each of them. It made them feel very special. The food was very good quality. They have a nice wine list.
After a bit of a rough start because of a "put upon" bartendress, it was great from there on out. Really fine food, attentive wait staff and a lively ambience! We had a good night there after a graduation.
Interesting menu, but hard for me to find a dish I wanted to order. Wait staff spent too much time talking to each other rather than waiting on tables. Loved the look of the place, but a little loud.
The food was average. Not somewhere where I’d get an extravagant dish; maybe just burgers and an app. Wine glasses were dirty upon arrival and the server had to replace them with slightly cleaner ones. Probably won’t be returning for dinner.
Always a great choice for brunch , lunch or dinner when in downtown St Pete.
Great restaurant! The food and atmosphere are amazing!
The Mother's Day brunch menu was satisfactory. The food presentation was excellent and the taste was top notch. Service was just right.
This was a Mothers day reservation. No brunch items on kids menu. With a reservation we had to sit outside in the drizzle rain. Server disappeared and never came around. Food was cold and we could not tell anyone because no one ever came around. When our food was barely touched, the waiter did not even ask why or anything. Plates stacked up on table and all the glasses were empty until we stopped a random server. We even asked the balloon guy to get our server and he could not get his attention. I left a comment card with manager and heard nothing back via email.
Did not have our reservation in the system. Glad I had my phone with the email confirmation. It was a very crowded Mother's Day and the staff did their best. Had to send one meal back as it was burnt. It was promptly replaced. Think the staff are wonderful and dealt with the crowded and noisy clientele very well. Food was good. Don't think we'll go back though.
Mother’s Day brunch was disappointing. I’ve enjoyed this restaurant before but they were ill prepared for this event and the food was sub par compared to other visits
Inattentive wait staff. Service is significantly lacking.
Mothers Day Brunch.
Pleasant atmosphere with good service. Nice choices on the menu for apps, entree and desserts. Wine list was good too.
We love the food. Sandwiches are great. Grouper and Croque Monsieur. Nice wine choices. Great atmosphere.
Lively happy hour til 7 before we moved to a table for dinner. Great steak tartare with homemade potato chips and French onion soup. Can't say the same for the fried chicken. Service was slow, but acceptable.
Food was very good and our server was excellent. She went out of the way to accommodate our vegan son and check to see that my dish had no chili in it, due to my allergy.
Had a great experience. Food was amazing!
We were celebrating graduation from usfsp every thing was perfect. Thank you.
Food takes forever to arrive. And items ordered forgotten. Food is subpar for the prices being charged. They have the location and have given no effort beyond that. The little bakery they have next door is much better. Also pricey, but friendlier service, faster service and better quality food.
A disappointing night out, unfortunately, as we were really looking forward to date night. The overall flavor of the food was fine but my entree sides were lukewarm, at best. When the manager inquired about the meal, I shared my consternation and he said that he would do what it took to make me happy. And that is the last we saw of him!
I cook almost every night so when I go out I expect the quality of the meal and the overall experience to at least match what I provide at home, and Saturday's dinner at Cassis did not. A shame, and for about $150.00.
We always like Cassis, but they were pressure washing this morning and had a very noisy breakfast.
We sat inside as outside was on the street with noise and fumes; inside had lovely French decor.
The food was fine but the waiter a little over attentive--kept trying to take the plates away when we weren't finished. Then he forgot us when we complained that the coffee was cold and never did bring us fresh hot coffee as he promised. Finally we decided to leave and he took coffee off the bill
It took an hour to get our food.
