Really never disappoints. Food is predictable, service is reliable. Best outdoors but indoor noise tolerable. It’s a little pricey.
Larissa is an awesome server. Attentive and so nice! We come here to dine every time we are is St. Pete!
From beginning to end our experience was exceptional! We were celebrating a birthday and the staff of Cassis made it SO memorable. We loved that we could order a carafe of wine like in Europe.
My partner has to be very careful of his salt intake for health reasons. When his appetizer turned out to be too salty for him, the manager personally addressed this situation. They replaced it promptly with another selection that he thoroughly enjoyed.
Our entrees were more than we could have hoped for. As foodies, and former restaurant people, we were extremely impressed by the quality and presentation of our entrees. The bouillabaisse was extraordinary! My lamb chops were exquisite!
While contemplating a dessert worthy of a candle, our delightful server, Dawson, brought us a signature birthday platter. Complete with elegant writing on the plate, we were treated to a sampling of confections in a charming gift box from the Cassis bakery. You must visit here as well!
Thank you for making this birthday extra special!!!
We had an absolutely wonderful meal! Food and service were superb. It was my birthday and we let our server know early on, she told us she would have a little something at the end of our Sunday brunch for me. The little box of pastries was such a nice and clever touch. Will be back a million times over!
Very good food—had the ribeye which is kind of hard to screw up. Great location/ambiance. Service was great. All in all a nice place I will go back to.
The service and food quality was disappointing. The restaurant was not crowded so i couldn’t understand why the server didnt return for a refill drink order, check if we needed anything after someone else delivered our food and he let our plates sit on the table for over 10 min after we finished our meal. I ordered a salad with fish. My fish should have been grilled it arrived fried and it was greasy. The lettuce in the salad was wilted. I asked for dressing on the side it arrived mixed in. No wonder the server did not ask how our meal was! Will not return despite the great location and nice ambiance.
Great experience, the braised escargot were amazing as well as the cassoulet and the steak tartare
A person at table ordered hamburger with out cheese. She is allergic. They brought it with cheese and she informed them. They took it back but we were all finished when her sandwich came. I think they should have compensated. Not even a sorry but it should not take that long.
Went here for brunch/lunch. Food was very good but it took like 45 minutes from when we placed our order to get our food. Not sure what happened, but its like they forgot our order. When it came out it was good, just frustrating sitting there for so long.
Great sidewalk seating. Pet friendly! Even a menu for your pup.
At the other side of the room, people were making very loud noise. When we complained to the management, they asked whether these people had a good time and ignored us. Very good waitress, very poor concern or better no concern for the well-being of customers by the management.
My food was over salted and my wife’s chicken was over cooked and dry.
As usual the service was impeccable and the food was great! The new menu had some great new choices. Loved the whole evening.
Used to eat here often, but on this visit the restaurant was about 1/3 filled at noon (not counting a whole seating section that was closed off). Menu has become much less French and more like every other eatery. Food mediocre.
Great service, drinks and food
Service was excellent. Food was good. Prices a bit high.
We went for brunch, and everyone and everything was delightful. Joe our server was very responsive, knowledgeable and kind. Cobb Salad was wonderful and my nephew got a plate full of bacon. The warm bread was great.
Great food and great service. The smoked fish spread is awesome. Great place for a drink or a full meal.
We had Sunday brunch with wedding party the day after Saturday wedding. Service was very slow, we were there over an hour without food. My wife ordered fresh fruit instead of hash browns for an additional charge - the fruit was spoiled and she sent it back, and they just took up charge off the bill, not the value. It’s very expensive for breakfast - $12 for breakfast sandwich, $4.50 for glass of juice, etc. High prices, slow service, bad food makes this a never again location.
My friends and I were in town on a girl trip. We asked to sit outside and were shocked we they put us at the far end when there were plenty of open tables outside. I think because of this our waitress didn’t seem to visit often and near the end we thought she forgot about us completely s food was delicious and would go again if just ask to sit somewhere different.
A pleasant French bistro in the cultural district of St. Pete. We enjoyed the cheese platter and a smoked salmon sandwich. Service was very good.
Our server, EZ, was the best! Food and drinks delicious. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Such a lovely touch to present our Birthday Girl with a beautiful box of assorted miniature desserts!
We had a very good dinner. It was slow and we had good service. The only negative was the booth next to us that had disruptive children climbing around their booth and yelling.
As a person on a gluten free diet, I was pleasantly surprised to have many options. The salmon salad is divine—smoked in house. It was so good, that I went back with a friend two days later.
Excellent food in a great location. We started eating at Cassis when they first opened. We remain fans of this very nice bistro. If you haven't eaten there, try it.
Cassis is a great place for Sunday brunch. Large selections and great prices.
We went for Father’s Day brunch and had a great time. The food was wonderful
I scored lower on the food because my husband asked for hard fried eggs and they were runny. Also the food took about 40 mins to come out.
Father’s Day and the kitchen was very slow. They should have been prepared for the extra volume as it’s not like they haven’t been open for a Sunday brunch holiday before. Food somewhat hit or miss. Although the kitchen was slow, our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and apologetic. The outdoor sidewalk setting is top notch and the interior decor is updated French bistro and vary attractive.
Our lunch at Cassis was following a visit to the Salvador Dali Museum. It was nearby, had a nice menu, and was near the waterfront. It really is a beautiful restaurant with a friendly staff. Our waitress, for what she could do, was very good. The reason for the poor service was beyond her control, namely the painfully slow arrival of food. As a party of four, it took over a half hour for our shared appetizers to arrive and closer to 40 minutes for our entrees to arrive after the appetizers were cleared off. As it turns out, the restaurant was have a "thank you" weekend special with lunch/brunch 50% off. If the intent was to generate new foot traffic to try their food it worked. The food, when it arrived was hot and tasty but the kitchen was clearly slammed and couldn't keep up. We saw a manager making the round comping people who clearly were upset at their long wait. By the time he got to us, we were nearly done, so no offer of anything. Frankly, I felt sorry for him - serving good food and then having to give it away because of the kitchen being so slow. I didn't mind not being comped at that point. Being from out of town, we likely won't be back again. If they can can get their kitchen act together, Cassis has potential.
Great food, and good atmosphere! We discovered Cassis one week before and decided to return for an early Father's Day brunch. We weren't disappointed. Everything was delicious! We'll be back. We live in Tampa, but it's worth the 30 minute drive.
Brioche French Toast!
This visit was only disappointing with my lunch entree...avocado toast I would not recommend this or order it again.
it was luke warm at best and extremely dry. The potatoes served with it were equally as luke warm. My friend had the grilled grouper sandwich which she said was very good.
Otherwise, our server Joe was great as usual!
I am a regular at Cassis but on this visit the omelet was dried out and overcooked, as was the potatoes. Maybe the chef was on vacation.
We dined at Cassie's first time on a late sunday evening so not much traffic and got immediately seated. The menu was a bit unusual but we asked questions and found what sounded good. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food, the presentation was excellent and taste was exceptional across the board. The wine and beer lists were short but we found drinks that were adequate. Overall we were very happy with our dining experience and the pastry/gelati shop next store capped off a perfect evening.
Great spot but if you added a few brunch items for kids it would be a home run!
Food was good but overpriced. The little desserts were great. Parking is terrible.
The staff and food and everything was fine. I’ve dined here many times and I will be back.
Brunch with my college roommate. Good variety and tasty food. Loved eating in the outside seating.
We were seated outside and trying not to sit right next to the table near us we sat near the planter which was butted up against our table and the iris leaves were overhanging our table and sticking Us in the face. The hostess said I'm sorry I can't do anything about that. So we had to move closer to the people next to us. Anyone could have come out with a knife or a pair of scissors and cut the plant back at the base just gour leaves. Protruding into two seats..so that the people sitting at the table will not be stuck in the face by the plant. I then ordered a Ketel One coffee martini and the waiter came back and said they can't make a coffee martini with Ketel One that they have a special coffee Martini concoction they must use. So we ordered a bottle of Rose. When the lobster came, we needed a chisel to get the lobster out of the shells it was stuck in there so hard we had to use our knives to pry it out around every edge. The green beans were overcooked and everything else was good..the bread was fantastic and the tomato avocado mozzarella and pesto salad was delicious.
