Food was very good. Nice brunch. Service a little slow. However they were busy. Seated promptly
Another lovely brunch at Cassis - good food, friendly service, lovely view of the park across the street. We love going there.
The food was good but a bit pricey for what it was. Surprised the main dish did not include vegetables or a salad in the price. Ambiance was good . When we went it was not too crowded or noisy despite it being a Saturday evening. Service was good, not hurried which is nice for an evening out. The desert menu was a bit slim for my taste. No cake or pies.
Family visiting from out of town.
We had a great meal BUT I called ahead of time and waited on hold for nearly 10 minutes before I finally gave up. I had a special request but nobody ever answered...and the recording came on every 10 seconds requiring you to push #1 to continue to wait while prompting you that "someone will be right with you" which never happened. We sat outside on a Friday which was nice.
Very nice place. Good for dates and to impress. I am so glad they changed the lighting to be more inviting.
Not a big fan of sitting shoulder to shoulder! Moved outside and it was perfect! Great atmosphere, great scenery, waiter was great!
Great service by Matt.
It was a pre-fix menu for Valentine’s Day. Choices were limited. Food was ok, dessert was very good.
We have had some horrible experiences dining out on Valentine's Day at other restaurants and usually stay home. This year, we took a chance on Cassis and were pleasantly surprised. It was a limited menu due to the holiday, but every course was great (we opted for the wine pairing, which was outstanding). We plan to come back.
We try to visit Cassis every two weeks. The food is delicious and the staff are very knowledgeable as well as professional. Our favorite restaurant.
Absolutely outstanding cocktails. The best Old Fashioned anywhere.
We all four had very good meals with nice presentations. Our waiter, EZ, did a great job. Will definitely return.
We went to Cassis twice during our stay in St. Pete. And we had been there before a few years ago. The food was very good and the service was excellent. On one visit, we met friends and spent a long time talking at the table. Not a problem al all. And the rolls from the next-door bakery are outstanding. A visit to the bakery is a must for every visitor. The Napoleans and the gelato wonderful
Our only glitch was a mixed up order that caused some delay for one guest. Otherwise our lunch experience was great! Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup! It was delicious! Cobb salad was great and very well presented. Would absolutely go back!
Wonderful food, excellent service in the best location on Beach Drive!
My friends had just flown in to start our ‘girls week’ and I chose Cassis to start our adventure. Keljean was a most welcoming and capable server. She helped make it a great experience. And, all our selections were very tasty. Over the years, I’ve had mixed experiences at Cassis, but the last two times have been very good.
Wonderful food. Went for brunch last Sunday and went back that evening for dinner. Love the blueberry pancakes.... I could eat them morning, noon, and night.
Been a few times and Cassis never lets me down. Worth the drive from Sarasota. Waiter Nicknwas exceptional , he times each table visit almost perfectly.
We enjoy the food and the outdoor seating as we often take our dogs. However, we have now had two experiences with snobby hostesses and recently a very aggressive waiter. It’s not HORRIBLE, but they could definitely be doing better. We really like the special dog menu.
Repeat Sunday brunch visit at this busy, popular, comfortable restaurant.
Outdoor dining is especially pleasant with charming ambience and consistent people watching. The staff is courteous, efficient and well-informed. Quiche is wonderful and all other expected Sunday dishes nicely prepared. Will return again, of course.
Sadly, though it looked great, waiter was OK [learning, I believe], and we had a nice table, this was a bit of a bomb. The eggs in 3/5 cases, arrived cold. Poached eggs, breakfast burrito arrived cold. And then they said they could microwave the poached eggs to warm them up?! What? A poached egg is supposed to be cooked just as it is and if you microwave it, it will cook further! Ugh. Quiche was actually pretty good, and warm. muffins were cakes and tasted fakey, as if they had come from the supermarket. Grits were very liquid. Server was nice but so often gone, and it was only moderately busy, with many servers. So, I would probably give this a C+ to B- for brunch.
Having had a very bad service experience at dinner there a few months ago, I thought I would give Cassis one more try at Brunch this past weekend.
The service was worse! From the time I entered the restaurant , stood at the reception desk and had four staff walk past me without saying a word, to the time it took for the wait person to approach the table to take a drink order, to the time it took to place our orders the beginning of our visit was a disaster. This was make only worse by the fact that ice tea, coffee and water were never refilled throughout our meal. We in fact, never saw our wait person after she took our order. The party sitting next to us had no better luck and ended up asking us if we could share some our creamer for their cofffees. I never got the lemon I requested for tea. When it came time for the bill, we literally had to wave our arms in the air to get any one of the six staff standing near by to pay attention to us so we could pay the bill and leave!
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would!!! The service and atmosphere were perfect, and the food was even better. Our party of 4 all ordered something different, and we all agreed it was the best meal we’ve ever had. We also ordered bruschetta for a starter, and it was the best any of us have ever had. You’ve got a great thing going, Cassis. Keep it up! Looking forward to marking it back to St. Pete and hi are at the top of our list!
Fantastic food and service! Definitely a place we will return to. Loved the bakery for after dinner sweets.
We had been to Cassis once or twice in the past. We felt the food was average and overpriced. However, this time it was excellent. I had the lamb chops and I loved them. My wife had the trout and it was very good. The server was very engaged and made good wine suggestions. They have a repeated daily special (for example-saturdays are for lamb chops). We look forward to coming back.
Our waiter was excellent.....
We enjoyed our cheese plate very much. It was delicious ........but for $17.00 the pieces of cheese should have been a little larger, the strawberries whole and a little more fruit as well.
We eat trout often. Our trout was overcooked! Too bad really because when cooked properly it is delicious!
I continue to be impressed with Cassis! On this night we had the venison and the green curry specials and both were excellent. As always, the service was extremely efficient and friendly.
Cassis has earned a spot in my current list of top 5 St. Petersburg restaurants. Can't wait to go back again!
This was our first time at Cassis. It was a great find. We all loved our entrees ad. The pastry basket was also delicious.
Cassis is one of the best places to go on Beach Drive in St. Petersburg. I have no issue driving here from Tampa, as the food and ambience are worth it! The brunch and lunch menus deliver many choices and everything I have tried has been great- try the blackened grouper!!
