Average meal and service
Steak wasn’t enjoyable tasted bad!
Great service and food. Was my first time there but looking forward to going back!
Food was better than average, but not amazing or brag about food. The location, outside dining and people watching is what you go here for. Our waiter was not impressive in regards to service nor his knowledge of the menu and specials. The server next to us however, seemed to have it going on and was well trained
Great spot for French/Southern American fusion. A lot of vegetarian options. I had the Fried Chicken, which is not something I thought I'd order at a French restaurant, but it was incredible. An interesting and delicious take on a classic southern meal. The Mac & Cheese Gratinée also impressed. The desserts seem to all be made in-house, and both the Creme Brulee and the Sorbet were excellent.
It is a bit pricey, and curiously half-empty on a Friday night at 8:00pm. That's not typically a good sign for a restaurant, but my experience there was nothing but positive and quite impressive. I highly recommend this brasserie.
My husband couldn't stop raving about the Steak Frites! They must have been good. And the tomato, burrata and avocado salad was nice and fresh and light.....but no greens.
Menu and local fare is great - really one of the St Pete downtown stalwarts...
Excellent restaurant always have good food and impeccable service.
a little disappointing, the mussels ordered as a full meal, had several that were not open. We actually called the manager twice the day after, no response, is that good customer service.
We did tell the waitress who said she would speak to the cook.
Steak frites were ok but a bit overpriced. Delmonico ordered by one of our friends were good.
They probably should have offered to turn on the heat lamp, one of our friends was cold.
On the bill places have a BAD habit of including the tax into the tip, I have always tipped based on the meal amount , not including tax. I tipped 18%. It has the location but is a bit pricey in our estimatino
Great in every respect!
Great food and inattentive service. Left at table. Had to ask for bread. Watched others in another section get good service. Too bad, I had been looking forward to it. The embarrassing thing was that we were there at my recommendation and my cousin from the U.K. was buying. Ouch!
My wife and I have enjoyed visiting the bakery and it’s Gelato for the last 4 years; however, this is the first time we dined at the Ristorante. We are not big (portion) eaters, so my wife ordered a half Roasted Tomato, Burrata & Avocado v pesto, balsamic glaze, crostini salad while I started with the Braised Escargot prepared with
Roasted Fingerling Potatoes, Roasted Garlic Toast, Red Wine Persillade Sauce. The portions and moreover the flavors were spot on.
We shared a medium rare Cassis Burger served with caramelized onions and gruyere cheese that came with
Peanut Oil Fried Matchstick Fries. All-in-all, a wonderful dinner we enjoyed curbside. Our server Ethan was awesome; his words and ours... we’ll be back.
Looked up menu online but prices were considerably larger for Sunday brunch than what I saw on Open Table menus. It is what it is, but also makes you feel robbed.
This place is lovely and chic, and I was happy to try it out. Food was as stylish as the decor, but my omelet was disappointingly bland. French toast and pancakes were delish.
I would come back but not for a family breakfast.
Loved it! Food was exceptional good, service was great, and the atmosphere wonderful!
This is our second recent visit. While I had the same meal, it was still very good. I got the ceasar and lamb. My wife got the grouper and she loved it. We have been very happy the past two visits.
Great place with even better food! It was a great restaurant to bring our 16 month old son for brunch!
We had not been to this restaurant in three years and had fond memories of the couple of lovely lunches we enjoyed back in 2015; however, this time our waitress could not even figure out how to use the wine opener, so my husband opened our bottle of wine for her. Though my friend and I ordered the full size beat salad, what arrived was either the half size or the smallest full size portion I have ever seen. While our waitress was lovely, she is clearly not one of the professional, dedicated staff that we fondly recall. All is all, this was a disappointing lunch but fortunately, it was a beautiful day and a great venue.
The ambiance and outdoor, indoor seating is very nice. The server was pleasurable and professional, however, we waited a long time for our food and she seemed to have more tables than she could handle. The food was fresh and reasonably priced for the quality.
Delicious everyday brunch menu. Loved the bright and trendy atmosphere. Staff were very attentive - clearly well trained. Outdoor patio is cozy too.
Food was very good. Nice brunch. Service a little slow. However they were busy. Seated promptly
Another lovely brunch at Cassis - good food, friendly service, lovely view of the park across the street. We love going there.
The food was good but a bit pricey for what it was. Surprised the main dish did not include vegetables or a salad in the price. Ambiance was good . When we went it was not too crowded or noisy despite it being a Saturday evening. Service was good, not hurried which is nice for an evening out. The desert menu was a bit slim for my taste. No cake or pies.
Family visiting from out of town.
We had a great meal BUT I called ahead of time and waited on hold for nearly 10 minutes before I finally gave up. I had a special request but nobody ever answered...and the recording came on every 10 seconds requiring you to push #1 to continue to wait while prompting you that "someone will be right with you" which never happened. We sat outside on a Friday which was nice.
Very nice place. Good for dates and to impress. I am so glad they changed the lighting to be more inviting.
Not a big fan of sitting shoulder to shoulder! Moved outside and it was perfect! Great atmosphere, great scenery, waiter was great!
Great service by Matt.
It was a pre-fix menu for Valentine’s Day. Choices were limited. Food was ok, dessert was very good.
We have had some horrible experiences dining out on Valentine's Day at other restaurants and usually stay home. This year, we took a chance on Cassis and were pleasantly surprised. It was a limited menu due to the holiday, but every course was great (we opted for the wine pairing, which was outstanding). We plan to come back.
We try to visit Cassis every two weeks. The food is delicious and the staff are very knowledgeable as well as professional. Our favorite restaurant.
Absolutely outstanding cocktails. The best Old Fashioned anywhere.
We all four had very good meals with nice presentations. Our waiter, EZ, did a great job. Will definitely return.
We went to Cassis twice during our stay in St. Pete. And we had been there before a few years ago. The food was very good and the service was excellent. On one visit, we met friends and spent a long time talking at the table. Not a problem al all. And the rolls from the next-door bakery are outstanding. A visit to the bakery is a must for every visitor. The Napoleans and the gelato wonderful
Our only glitch was a mixed up order that caused some delay for one guest. Otherwise our lunch experience was great! Had the grilled cheese and tomato soup! It was delicious! Cobb salad was great and very well presented. Would absolutely go back!
Wonderful food, excellent service in the best location on Beach Drive!
My friends had just flown in to start our ‘girls week’ and I chose Cassis to start our adventure. Keljean was a most welcoming and capable server. She helped make it a great experience. And, all our selections were very tasty. Over the years, I’ve had mixed experiences at Cassis, but the last two times have been very good.
Wonderful food. Went for brunch last Sunday and went back that evening for dinner. Love the blueberry pancakes.... I could eat them morning, noon, and night.
Been a few times and Cassis never lets me down. Worth the drive from Sarasota. Waiter Nicknwas exceptional , he times each table visit almost perfectly.
We enjoy the food and the outdoor seating as we often take our dogs. However, we have now had two experiences with snobby hostesses and recently a very aggressive waiter. It’s not HORRIBLE, but they could definitely be doing better. We really like the special dog menu.
Repeat Sunday brunch visit at this busy, popular, comfortable restaurant.
Outdoor dining is especially pleasant with charming ambience and consistent people watching. The staff is courteous, efficient and well-informed. Quiche is wonderful and all other expected Sunday dishes nicely prepared. Will return again, of course.
