Cassa Ceviche

For off the beaten path restaurant that serves truly good food and is inexpensive, you must try Cassa Ceviche. Their ceviches especially, Peruvian/Japanese, and Traditional are BRIGHT and the fish is Sashimi grade.
Grilled octopus was tender and tasty.

Food was ok. We had 3 different ceviche plates and octopus appetizer. The ceviche was so citrusy that it was not enjoyable considering I love lemon and limes but it was over the top. All of them tasted very similar as the lemon/lime mixture over powered the flavor The octopus was fantastic. Overall was ok experience. If you are looking for ceviche there are other ceviche restaurants.

Great food and service!

We had a fabulous experience celebrating my wife’s birthday. We ordered the Tres Ceviches (Classic, Maya, and Neikkel) and the Seafood Paella. The paella was unbelievably good!

My Novia y yo visited Cassa Ceviche for New Year's Eve, and had a wonderful time. Great food and ambiance, the staff was working hard but were as friendly and helpful as could be. The food was fantastic, we ate half the menu and everything was A+. Gracias, Cassa Ceviche! Hasta pronto!

If there is a better restaurant in Playa - I don't know what it is... All of our dishes and drinks were exquisitely balanced and flavorful.

Slow food that is very tasty. I've been many times and have always found the food exceptional. Outdoor, covered, nice relaxed atmosphere.

This place was AMAZING! We stayed in Mexico for a month and this was one of our top 3 meals while we were there. Get the ceviche and the tiraditos - they are both out of this world. We loved this place!

Favourite meal during trip to Playa! Beautiful service and recommendations (Nicholas), great cocktails, and wonderful food. The ceviche was fresh and delicious and the paella was flavourful and perfect. The ambiance is really great as this place is far off the strip and had a really cool vibe with great music. I hope to come back next time I am Playa!

Food was amazing and outside the touristy area. 100% worth the visit!

We like trying different menus and different types of food and Cassa fills that bill nicely. They offer a number of menu items but we were particularly interested in the ceviche choices. Two of us had the fish ceviche and one had the mixed. Both were tasty with just a nice “heat” to them.
Our meals came with a basket of fried plantains which was a nice contrast of sweet against the ceviche’s spice.
Our server was pleasant and quite willing to chat about the flavours and ingredients and I like that particularly.
Price is ridiculously low.
The venue, while “rustic” is pleasant, shaded and cool.
Only “knock”- and this would be only me speaking- is that the amount of food was not enough for me, given it was a fish dish.
On a return visit I will order something else along with the ceviche.

This restaurant is a gem in the chaos of Playa. The owners are gracious beyond compare and the staff knowledgeable and super friendly. And, perhaps most importantly, the food is exquisite in every way; taste, presentation, inventiveness and quality of ingredients. The young female chef is AWESOME! And there’s a hidden art gallery...try to find it. Oh, and the drinks were creative and delicious and strong! A true food lovers find. Go here!

This was our 4th visit in a month and needless to say we love the Peruvian food with its Asian/latin flair. Two suggestions; 1. order different things and share as the meal for the table are cooked fresh and don’t come out at the same time. 2. Diego and the service are super. Ask to see the secret room as well. Cassa Ceviche is a small, very creative place with good food and a local feel and two tables in the courtyard area for larger groups.

What a pleasant suprise to find amazing peruvian food in such a quite area of town. The service from the young man was outstanding with a great understanding of what he was serving and the vision the restaurant has. Every dish was a delight of flavors with respect to the peruvian culture. Leche de tigre in the ceviches as well as nice sweet potato and miaz mixted with the freshest of fish. Wish I had a place like this in my town. I would be a regular.

Great flavors, beautiful presentation, good service

I found this jewel of a restaurant while doing a search as a traveler in Mexico. From the moment I walked through the door, I felt completely welcomed. It definitely was not a tourist trap.The food was delicious. I ordered the Trinity of ceviche which was recommended and it was deliciously prepared. May I also add that the chocolate dessert that I had was delicious. Overall, what made my visit a memorable experience was the staff. Everyone (bartender, server and even the owner's wife) made me feel at home. I would definitely visit again.
