Very nice place ..food was very good and had great portions.
It is my opinion that the Casino Grill is as good as and actually better than most restaurants in the area in offerings, prices and flavorful dishes.
Wife and I went in and o ordered the boiled dinner. Completely tasteless and rubber like texture. Totally disappointed. Drinks abs chowder were fine but means sub par.
Clean, not busy. Waiter was alone and super busy. Small menu but good food.
menu was varible; good selection of wine; close to gaming action; food was great and free parking
Thought the casino resturant would be expensive. Boy was I wrong. Food was hot well plated and
My margarita was made perfect. Really loved Roberto. He was friendly courteous and a pleasure to talk to. I will be back.
Not impressed, ordered the stuffies, pot roast, blt and buffalo wing. Stuffies had a nice flavor but cold in the middle, my boyfriend said pot roast was salty and veg overcooked. Wings just blah and blt was good but looked like it was thrown together and fries were not hot. The manager apologized and brought new stuffies but still not too hot. Poor experience at best.
Waitstaff and food were great. Hostess was a bit rude.
We had a good time in this restaurant. Food was okay. Drinks were great. Service was great. I would recommend to friends and family. Better than what was there before. I would like to try the breakfast next time as it is offered all day. Thank you.
I made reservations for Valentine's day. I was pleased to see that they had much more than an all day breakfast menu. My wife and I ordered the Valentine special. It was absolutely perfect. Great service ( Ethel ). The dinner was not rushed. A 5 star experience.
Almost an hour for a steak! Unacceptable. Manager apologized and was pleasant but no reason why. When we finally got the meals it was meh at best. Overcooked, tough and flavourless. It’s too bad because we were looking for a new regular spot but we will keep looking.
Disappointed to say the least. Chowder was good but clam cakes nasty and overcooked to death. My wife had calamari which was ok but not hot. Both turkey dinners dry and veg and potato cold and stiff. This garbage is what was all the rage in Newport??
We miss Newport Grand but now enjoy Tiverton. Now that this restaurant has recently opened it feels like the "old" days! There are many friends working here from Newport that make you feel more than welcomed (Lisa!!) so we are grateful to have this Cafe/Grille back!! The food/service/staff are all top notch!! You will not be disappointed with a meal from here!
My friend ordered prime rib, it was so fatty we were disappointed. Fairness to waitress she asked how foods was and he said ok. He ate little, he went to men's room and when waitress came over, I spoke up and she took plate to manager and ended up not charging us. I felt bad that he didn't speak up but it was only our second date and I didn't think it was my place to complain about his meal. They did give him chocolate cake. I do believe the manager should of came to table to address this. He left it on the waitresses shoulders. On the other side my chicken pie was very good. Hopefully next meal there will be better. Thank you. Elizabeth Churbuck
Service was excellent. Food quality was good but price of meals and drinks were way to high for the average patron.
First time last time! This is not what we expected, nasty roast beef club with cold fries! Grisly beef of low quality. Chilli was good but not very hot, and Reuben was tough and sloppy to eat, too much fat. Server seemed distracted but did apologize for the kitchen and offered other options but we were all set. Check yourself !
Turkey club was dry as a bone, fries limp and not hot and crisp and my wife’s fried chicken was raw and had to send back. We didn’t even eat it at that point. Unacceptable on all levels. Server was embarrassed and apologized and manager insisted we don’t pay for food we couldn’t eat. We expressed our disappointment in the change and how the area needs fine dining not another soorts bar with lousy food. Will not be back.
We didn’t know the restaurant changed and we were extremely disappointed. Liz and Janice were great as usual but the food is disgusting. Spaghetti was inedible, I replaced it with turkey dinner and that was nearly cold and bland. My wife had baked cod which was under cooked and tasted of wine! David apologized and picked up the check for us which was a nice gesture but we cannot continue to dine here if this is the type of food served. We will go to Lincoln from now on, sorry.
We were told about the change in the menu but we went anyway. What a mistake! Our meals were not hot, sent back twice! Server and manager apologized and said he was embarrassed by the error. We asked the food be microwaved so that we could just eat and leave. The manager was nice enough to pick up the tab but not enough to bring us back. Just terrible food and presentation like we were in a roadside greasy spoon.
This was so disappointing. My wife ordered the turkey dinner like we remembered from Newport but it was terrible. Bland and goopy gravy, dry turkey and bland and tepid potatoes and stuffing. Total disappoint. My fish and chips was soggy and greasy, fries tasted like they were sitting around for a while and not hot. Server apologized and manager apologized and offered to make something else but we didn’t want to chance it. Service and drinks were fine but not enough to bring us back.
Service was terrible. Took forever to get food. Waitress never came back to refill water or to check our table to see if we needed anything. Did not care for menu Hot Dogs?????
Very pleased with the friendly staff. The restaurant manager was outstanding. He was very knowledgeable about the wine list and pairing. He was very friendly and made us feel welcome.
We used to be regular guests at the restaurant, so we tried it last week. Totally disappointed in the food offerings. If we wanted diner food we would go to a real diner. The staff seem embarrassed, the food is lousy and poorly presented. I miss the veal parm. My husband got the turkey dinner and was disappointed. Very dry, stove top stuffing and tasteless gravy. My lobster roll
Was fine but the bun was flimsy and stale and . We loved the old! We love the staff here but I’m afraid we may not be back until the troubles have been fixed. Good luck
There was definitely a lack of attention to detail when it comes to the food.
This is a great addition to Tiverton. Often wondered why the never tried to replace the Grille that was at Newport Grand. I think this restaurant will bring back the customers from Newport.
