Nice ambiance, but our waitress couldn't be found to take our order, so we had to flag down someone after about 30 min to find her. She finally took our order, then after another 30 min or so, we had to go ask someone to help us again. After about an hour and a half, we finally got our food, which was okay, but honestly not worth the very long wait.

We had burgers with drinks and dessert. The yart dessert was the best I ever had. No idea why the ratings are so low, 3.8 when we went, definitely should be higher.

Nice hotel restaurant however, the food lacked. Much of the food was overcooked, the braised short ribs were tough, which is hard to do. Since it was Mother's Day it was unfortunate. Good thing I have a family of good sports.

The menu on OpenTable for Cascadia was 4 years old according to the waiter. Made the reservation on OpenTable when none was required. Also, What looks like the main entrance to the restaurant is accessed by hotel guests only. Besides, It's a nice restaurant with good food options and great drinks!

We were there for Valentine’s Day and they had a special menu. I had prime rib ordered medium rare. It came almost well done and was terrible. Probably the worst I’ve had. My wife ordered a filet rare and it came medium with severe char marks. We sent it back and got a rare steak that had no flavor except for the burnt char marks. They obviously don’t know how to cook a steak. You could tell the servers were embarrassed by the food they had or bring out. The only good part was the chocolate sampler dessert which was amazing.

Went with family for Father’s Day lunch. Area was pretty quiet at 2:00-3:00pm and we were the only group there. It is a hotel atrium and you see the room doors around the perimeter. We were sitting mostly in the bar area. Food portions quite large and pretty good. The pulled pork tacos could have had more flavor and the seafood chowder fewer potatoes. Service was very good.

Went for Mother’s Day. Web site said full menu served all day, and I like going to Cascadia pretty regularly, as place is quiet, relaxing with good food. Unfortunately, had brunch buffet options only, and was $140 for me and my two kids. For that price, you expect good if not great quality. Food was subpar, with not my choice. Mimosa was made using oh, not pear juice. They did not have specialty coffee either. Typical bkf standard, with some seafood options typical for brunch, but no crabs... just cocktails shrimps. Dessert choices were ok, but not good. I will still go to Cascadia for their usual food, but never brunch.

Cascadia is the restaurant within the Embassy Suites. They put on a very nice brunch buffet with a wide selection of high quality food. We were seated in the large multi-story atrium area but noise level was good and there was plenty of room to move around. Service was only fair; it seemed there were no table assignments so we had to flag down whomever passed by to get used plates removed or beverages refilled. Overall, was less than impressed with the value for the price we paid.

Hostess greeted us immediately. Our server Juan had drinks on the table and menus in our hands immediately while we settled at a table with views of sports TVs and the active lobby. The menu boasts comfort fare and it sure delivered. There was no fuss or up charge for changes on our side dishes. The food came out hot tasty and while we waited our water and drink glasses never ran dry. The end of the meal gave us the option to tip kitchen line staff, or provide a single tip for waitstaff to split, rather than the service charges popping up everywhere around Portland. Based upon the kitchen staffs fine culinary performance I tipped them separately above and beyond service fees imposed elsewhere. We will return. Highly recommend

We made an early reservation specifically to meet our needs and to beat the rush. The special selections were enticing, and after some description from our server, Juan, I chose the trout. While the breading was slightly heavy, the fish was boneless and moist. I was a bit taken back that it was served on a small sheet pan. However, it was a rather large fish. The smoke shrimp was amazing. My Spouse chose the smoked pork variety plate from the regular menu. He said it wasnt amazing, but was satisfied with it just the same. Overall, it was satisfactory versus Mortins, which we usually go to for occassions. There is potential here.

The food was mediocre at best, and the price was as high as other much nicer restaurants. We came on Christmas since not much else was open, but we won’t be back.

it was a very nice Easter Brunch we really enjoyed the event. The food was good but the seating area was so cold that our food got cold immediately. So we were wearing our jackets. The They definitely need some closing doors on the west side so that the doors from the exterior lobby doors does not blow the 45*weather thru the dining area. The display of food was fun and easy to serve from. We really liked the pink easter bunny too.

We went to Cascadia for Easter Brunch. It was very festive, with Spring colors and the Easter Bunny in attendance. This was good for kids, they had kid-friendly food and were attentive to them...bonus points for that. Plus, the kids LOVED that the bunny was there, and he was giving out plastic eggs with candy inside. The food was mediocre...nothing special. For the price, we could have had a much better meal, but of course we were paying for the kid stuff. If you're a foody, I might avoid it. But if you're a family looking for a kid-friendly Easter brunch, I'd recommend it.
