The food was delicious! We tried the breakfast sandwich ( had so many unexpected layers of savory flavor!) and breakfast tacos ( unique, and hit the spot before our day outside) and steak, as well as salmon tacos ( absolutely perfect! ) and desserts were Chocolate torte and cream brûlée ( best I’ve had) . The staff were on their game, social distancing was worked out well, and we had a perfect weekend there:)
A nice restaurant with a beautiful view.
The view was amazing, and this is what you're paying for. The food was mediocre, and very limited choices. The staff was very friendly, and attentive, so I would recommend going here for a drink and appetizer and enjoy the view.
Awesome setting,a little pricey. You’re paying for the setting just remember that.
Limited menu for first weekend back. Food was very good and service was appropriately attentive. Window seating provided beautiful view of Columbia River Gorge.
First time out since quarantine. Delicious and welcoming.
We have eaten at the Cascade Room on several occasions and it has never disappointed. The service was excellent, the staff polite and the food excellent. In light of the current Covid Operating recommendations, the staffed demonstrated attention to detail in cleaning after each guest.
Nice job with precautionary measures. Our server was very good- professional and personable. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The desert couldn’t have been better. We shall definitely return....
We celebrated our 44th anniversary Friday. The Prime rib was out of this world, and the steelhead was excellent. It was wonderful to sit down and just have a wonderful meal with outstanding service. Oh did I mention that the deserts were superb also. Yes a wonderful dinner in a wonderful place.
We are surprised that the food serving are very small. Compared to our previous visit with the next restaurant, the servings are more than twice and we're very satisfied. We have several pictures taken during our previous visit and compared to the food served to us recently and theirs a big disparity. But we gave a standing ovation to the waiter/staff who served us. He's excellent in providing service to us.
Very good food; however, $400 for five people, two of whom took the "March special", is rather pricey.
It wasnt crowded so the waiter hovered way too much. It was uncomfortable at times
The dining room was practically empty
First time there. Limited menu due to time of year. Great service.
Since it was Valentines Day we made a trip to the restaurant after checking in around 4 pm. The staff there were wonderful and said they could save two cuts of prime rib (the special that night) since our reservations were not until 8 pm and they would most likely be sold out.
But when we arrived my cut of prime rib had to have been something they were going to trash because it was very small and full of gristle and large amounts of fat. Way more than you normally find on any prime rib. The actual eatable portion of meat was probably 2-3 Ounces. For $40!!!
So we paid $40 for some mashed potatoes that were barely warm and a few spears of asparagus again which were just warm. My husbands prime rib was very small also but he had a larger eatable portion at least.
I will be contacting the hotel. This was absolutely unacceptable and should NEVER have come out of that kitchen. If they forgot to save two nice cuts then tell us so we could make another choice. Don’t just try to foist it on someone and hope they won’t care. Really???
This was a Valentines Day fabulous date! Service from Michael, food, ambience over the top. Made our evening special!
Service by Mike was wonderful and we really enjoyed him. My wife and I both ordered prime rib. My wife had to send hers back as it was too chewy to cut with a knife. Everything else was pretty good.
We'll try another dish if we go back.
Overpriced and food that is non-creative and not very tasty. I will not be returning.
The waiter was outstanding - I was disappointed in some of the food selections - I was hoping for eggs benedict - but it was good
The food is absolutely INCREDIBLE!! Ambiance is wonderful if you’re there for sunset or have a full moon like we did. Service was okay.
Our waitress Joleane was outstanding! She made our experience wonderful!
Amazing food with wonderful and friendly staff. The views all over the lodge are amazing
The room was very cold with a draft that made some of the members of our party wear their coats and hats the entire time we were in the dining room.
The food was acceptable, but the price was excessive for the items we ordered.
Service was good.
Always such a good experience and Skamania Lodge! We opted for the Sunday Champagne Brunch, which includes unlimited mimosas. Definitely worth the $45 a person every once in awhile!
Meh- food is always good but they need to bring the Bloody Mary bar back if they are going to charge $45.
Our server Mary Sue was and is always fantastic, enjoyed our dinner although it was a little pricey!
Excellent food and service. It's such a beautiful place to stay, the food being so wonderful made out stay that much better
Service is amazing, pampered and cared for. The only thing we ran into in the bar restaurant was the portion size for the caesar salad was very small for the $14 price and the woodfired pepperoni and sausage pizza left a lot to be desired, my husband compared it to a low grade frozen pizza- sausage also tasted more like breakfast sausage than italian sausage.
All the other food we had throughout the weekend was great.
Our server Mike was amazing! Food wasn’t so great.
Excellent restaurant. Have never had a bad meal there
Very nice meal. Great service and the ambiance is fantastic.
Very limited menu. Very expensive for value received. Too many high end chef concoctions to go with entree, such as polenta, and odd vegetables. No option for a baked potato or green beans etc. Will not return or recommend.
We took a drive up from Vancouver to the Lodge for breakfast as a change of pace. We started with fresh orange juice and great coffee. My husband ordered the corn beef hash with poached eggs on top and I had the Belgium waffle. Everything was fresh and delicious! We were lucky enough to have a window seat, though most tables have a great view. The room presents itself as clean and orderly. All staff we encountered were positive, polite and customer service oriented. Overall it was a great experience and we look forward to returning in the Spring.
The Friday Buffet was honestly very disappointing at the least. Food quality was poor, most of it overcooked and over priced to say the least. We had picked the evening to meet friends for a nice dinner and we felt so bad about the food we bought their dinners. $250.00 for 4 people. We won’t be back there again.
Great as always. Beef up the dessert wine pairings and it will be 100%
Food and service were great. Even Anna, the hostess, was probably the kindest person I’ve ever met!
Pricey but food is top quality and a lovely selection..
It is wonderful for the occasions when you want to treat someone to something special. Waiter was a little odd, not very visible. Overall we have a beautiful holiday lunch, then rocked in the great room for a whole near the roaring fire. Memorable.
My family has been coming to Sunday brunch last five years. Unfortunately our recent trip was disappointing both service and foods. Waitress wasn't that busy but show no interest in engaging basic conversation. Servers were visible but used plate wasn't clear for few minutes
I went to meat table waiting, a server was preparing a meal using a portable burner. he saw me standing but ignored. No one acknowledge me with simple words I be right with you. Alaska crab legs were so salty made me feel like there for decoration.
I don't use Yelp or Facebook I feel the need to speak up. Beautiful place to enjoy the view but overall service and food was less than average.
