Cascade at Durham Springs
Cascade cuisine uses local resources and the menu periodically changed to accommodate seasonal changes. The bar features a smart craft cocktail list and dining at the bar is available if preferred.
We are now opening Cascade Cafe, served on a separate floor with a lighter fare menu. You may make your reservation here for Cascade, The Restaurant. But check out the listing Cascade Café to make a reservation or give us a call.

We love going here!
Overall a very nice place. Decor has been updated. Staff were very nice and accommodating. We appreciated that the owner greeted everyone tableside. The food was very good however portion size was very small for the price. Drink prices were also inflated.
It was quite loud. A little hard to hear each other but not too bad.
The online menu was not up to date so we were somewhat disappointed - not necessarily in the Autumn menu, we just had looked online and were anticipating items we saw.
Waiter was nice.
Ian is adorable.
I thought our experience back in December was better. I had one of the specials - but it may have been the beef Wellington that is on the menu now, not sure. That night I said the food was the best I ever had.
This time I had the pork. I wasn’t asked how I wanted it prepared and it was too rare for my taste. Others had the beef Wellington - excellent, and the short ribs also excellent.
We will be back
Great farm-to-table experience in a gorgeous country setting. The food is outstanding and the ambiance is enchanting. Beautiful venue for weddings too.
Beautiful views. Beautiful restaurant. Avg food at best and service was odd.
I'm giving a qualified "yes" to the question of whether I would recommend to a friend... The location is beautiful, up on a hill, in the bucolic countryside of Bucks County. The restaurant had fallen on hard times: It was a classic during the 50's & 60's, attracting an upscale crowd from as far away as New York. It has now been totally renovated and is lovely inside and out. Our server was excellent and both the manager and one of the owners stopped by our table. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment with the exception of the grilled shrimp appetizer which was excellent as were the fresh-baked, warm rolls. My pork loin entree was brought to the table barely warm and had to be sent back. It was not tender and has little taste. The butternut squash that accompanied it was undercooked and hard. Dessert, which sounded so good on the menu, ended up being a type of shortbread muffin cut in half with whipped cream and chopped apple in the center. The place is so lovely, physically, and the staff seemed so earnest, I will give them another chance in the hope that the chef gets his/her act together.
Lovely dining experience. Food was delicious, service was efficient and friendly, atmosphere beautiful.
The site is stunning. The food is fresh and high quality. The servers are professional. However, apparently due to a high turnout in their upstairs cafe, the service was painstakingly slow. They did offer dessert at no charge but to even have to do that is a statement. Also, with a restaurant not at all filled to capacity, being seated across from the (creaky) kitchen door could have easily been avoided.
I love the restaurant in spirit but they have to improve on getting the food (and drinks) out much more quickly and need to do something about the seating near the kitchen. This restaurant could and should approach three stars in the hills of Upper Bucks County. It just needs to step up to attain that status.
Very good atmosphere, ideal for a romantic date with your partner. The food, drinks, and desserts are fabulous. We will definitely return with my wife.
Very romantic, hidden gem, excellent foood & service.
Almost there. Few more areas to polish and this could be an excellent option. Our first experience was very positive. Will try again- maybe the cafe.. Has a fine dining area and a slightly lower price cafe. Has banquet availability. View is great. Rolling forested hills with a brook just outside the restaurant.
Incredible experience. Food was top notch. Amazing atmosphere. Enjoyed fireworks at the end of the night since a wedding was being held upstairs. The owner was so gracious and made sure every part of the night was exceptional. Will definitely come back.
Awesome. Hosts are the best.
Very pleasant experience. If you go, you will be well received by Ian and Dan who own the place. This is a special place and the attention to detail is impressive. The menu is appealing and the food was very good. It was nice to dine at a place that is working to make sure you have a positive experience. We look forward to returning.
An excellent restaurant in a beautiful setting. The food is both elegant and delicious served by a helpful staff in bright, spacious dining area with pastoral view.
We had a fabulous meal.. out second time there since new owners.. dinner was fantastic, and if you have been there before- you won’t recognize it... absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend!!! Can’t wait to come back!
A memorable experience, from start to finish. The views, the service... THE FOOD!!... rock shrimp and leek dumplings , the duck and the Chicken Wellington...amazing. The drinks were tasty, and the owners spoke with everyone. Please treat yourself to an evening at this restaurant.
Great service and a beautiful restaurant. We ordered the speck plate and the the quail for appetizers. Both of the plates were well balanced and had fantastic flavor. Soft boiled quail egg inside of the quail was a little over done, but it was tasty nonetheless. Prior to the appetizers, they presented us with a tomato basil gelee that was flavorful, but a bit stiff and hard to get out of the spoon. I also ordered the lobster bisque. The bisque was good except for the fact it was over salted. I was unable to finish the bowl as my throat began to burn a bit at the halfway point.
We ordered the Chicken Wellington and the Duck Breast Cassoulet for our entrees. Again, great flavor that was well crafted with complexity that was marred by over salting as well.
For dessert, we had the Almond tart. It was wonderfully buttery and the Buttermilk Iced Milk was a great counterpoint to the warm tart.
The service was fantastic from the valet to the waitstaff. Each of the owners made sure to stop by each table and it made for an exceptional dining experience that you don’t find all that often; even in New York City.
We definitely want to return and dearly hope the salt will be applied more judiciously in our future visit. Cascade has the hallmarks of a great restaurant we would love to patronize regularly.
the food at this restaurant was superb, only to be equaled by the view from the dining room. One of the owners, Ian Humphries, makes it a point to walk around and speak to all of the diners. It adds a nice personal touch to the dining experience.
Well, the reason we booked was for the chef tasting pre fixed menu. We received an email invitation from the restaurant for this reason. So we immediately booked a reservation. Upon arrival, we put our order in for the tasting and were told they were sold out and we would have to order from the main menu. Needless to say the cost was significantly higher. The staff was underwhelming and not personable. However the food we did get was amazing. I wish they were more accommodating.
I think this was an off night. The service was very slow.
Our most recent dinner at Cascade at Durham Springs was extremely disappointing. We came back to the restaurant because of the exceptional location, food, service, ambiance, and the fact that we were able experience fine dining in our area. Unfortunately this experience was terrible! While an amuse-bouche was promised, none arrived. The glasses of wine we selected were completely wrong! While our food was tasty, the entrees (filet + halibut) were both overcooked. When we receive the check, they processed it, paying on my credit card for another table's dinner that was almost $100 greater than our bill! I brought it to their attention and was told that they were unsure of what to do and how to void the transaction. They eventually figured out how to do it, and we left the restaurant, wondering what had happened to have such a poor experience at a restaurant we had been telling others was the best place to go!
Wonderful evening in a relaxed environment. Could not fault the food or service. This is a hidden gem!
Off the beaten path - but well worth it. Adorable setting; the food was AMAZING. Wine was great! Our server, Nick, was great.
We had been to the old Cascade Lodge and now its reopening as Cascade at Durham Springs. The food was absolutely delicious from the appetizers to dinner to desert. Highly recommend. Not cheap, but worth it.
We love to visit good restaurants. This was our third visit, one for every season so far. The excellence is consistent. Where else does an owner tour the dining room, visiting with every patron? The staff seem happy to work there and always give a friendly hello. The food and service are top notch. A delightful place fo dine.
Outstanding restaurant a mere 30 minutes from Doylestown. Food was beautifully presented and quite delicious! A gem in our own back yard!
Another wonderful evening catching up with friends over a gourmet meal timed in a way for conversation and enjoyment. No rush. The owners have done beautiful work with the renovations maintaining the elegance of the natural landscape and history.
Presentation and preparation worthy of a small road trip.
this is a hidden gem, well worth the drive. the proprietors are friendly, welcoming with many years of experience in the NY restaurant biz. They greeted their guests and ate at the restaurant themselves so the food has to be up to their standards! menu is creative but not pretentious, fresh and interesting combinations. We've gone twice in the last month, would go back in a heartbeat!
Great food and Excellent service! The Cascade Restaurant always satisfies and is such a beautiful setting...inside and out! Can't wait to go back!
We have eaten at Cascade the Restaurant several times since it opened under new ownership, and we have loved it. Our last visit, however, was less than impressive. The food was as good as always, but the service was not, primarily because our server was stretched between the dining room, where we were, and the upstairs deck. He spent most of his time upstairs and out of sight. He didn't take our dinner orders until 40 minutes after we were seated and then only because we asked the bartender to find him. Ultimately, we didn't blame him but rather the management. In fact, this was the first time we have dined there when one of the owners wasn't present, and one of them surely would have noticed the lapse. They really need to have separate servers upstairs and for the dining room. But the food? Outstanding, especially for a restaurant in the country. We will go back again and hope that they iron out the logistics of having one waiter serving two separate areas.
Wonderful staff and exceptional preparations. It’s refreshing to see a smaller menu with everything done nicely. No rush ... no hurry ... worth the drive!
Excellent in every way and well worth the trip!
Wonderful in every way! Owners took the time to come by the table and chat. Later provided a tour and were very gracious.
Food was exceptional! Service was equal! We had Andy as our waiter and his knowledge of both the menu and the wine offerings was very helpful.
Awesome - can’t believe the makeover. Grounds and restaurant is just gorgeous
A fantastic location for a fantastic restaurant. The reimagining of the Cascade Lodge could not have gone better. I have eaten here several times since they opened and have had a fantastic meal each time. I appreciate the chefs attention to detail and the fresh ingredients. I'd rather eat Kirsten at Bolete these days.
Slightly louder music would have been good so conversations could be bit more private.
This was our second time. We enjoyed very much our first time at cascade. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good as the first. There happened to be a large wedding and I have a feeling it took priority. Our service was just ok. No refills on drinks and I had to flag our waitress down to tell her I was unhappy with my dinner. The food was delicious but was served warm not hot. I feel when you charge the prices you charge the service better be the best and the food must be hot and spot in. Stay consistent. I can’t chance it again.
Nestled back on a country road. Found this on Opentable and it was a great find. Beautiful location and the view was breathtaking. The food was just wonderful. A true delight. The service was pampering and professional. I plan on coming back soon.
