We found this by chance in Open Table, and after reading all the great reviews we were not disappointed! Love the interior style, love the menu options and our waiter was wonderful. There are no prices listed online so I wasn’t sure what I was getting us into … but we had focaccia bread right out of the brick oven, perfect steak calamari, delicious mahi special, perfect gnocchi, amazing chicken pasta and fabulous cocktails. $130 for 3 of us. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I love coming here. Their apps are amazing, never disappoint. My sister and I came here once just for some drinks and apps and I tell you we were so satisfied. The polenta is my personal favorite I think I can eat just that and be more than happy. Their drinks are delicious their lychee martinis are so ono, so is their mascow makawao I believe its called. I have tried their gnocchi, ravioli, their duck when they did have it on their menu and another pasta dish I can't put the name to it but it did consist of Kalamata olives. And I do say the ravioli was my favorite out of all so flavorful. The last time we went my sister had their pasta with the clams and I think I am gonna start ordering that from now on. The gnocchi was not my fav it was a little gummy for my liking, even though the flavor was outstanding. Their focaccia bread is also a really good item to have use it to dip with your past. My husband always gets the steak, hes had it prepared all types of ways and I think its just the best because he will not steer away form it even though he has tried all the dishes I have ordered. We will always be back and I recommend this place to all of my friends & family and most definitely guest that check in to where I work that ask about recommendations.

Absolutely fantastic food - you can’t beat the fresh focaccia and pasta here! The sauces are so incredible as well - definitely a must do on Maui we can been 4 times over the last couple of years and look forward to the next time!

We made reservations, arrived on time, and were seated within five minutes. We ordered a pizza to share, which was a bit slow in becoming, but worth the wait as it was delicious. The service was top-notch.

Food and service was great. The restaurant can get pretty loud so it was sometimes difficult hearing our waitress and others in our party. Overall, we'd recommend this restaurant. We loved the town and the drive up to Makawao.

We love coming here every time we come to Maui, and Casanova did not disappoint this time! The food is beyond compare, and the service is so friendly. Our party of 10 had nine unique pasta entrees, and everyone was thrilled. I’ve never had gnocchi like that before — my daughter is in love! The chicken parm could feed a horse! If you’re on the island and love Italian food, take the lovely ride up to Makawao and enjoy Casanova!

We never cease to be amazed by this restaurant in Makawao. We were there for our second visit Monday evening 6/26. The food is excellent and so is the service. The prices are very modest, particularly for Maui. They are very accommodating of special dietary needs which is the hallmark of our family. Gluten free pasta if required, lots of vegetarian options. They'll basically do anything for you to make your visit a happy one. We love this place. Much preferred over the quality, price, and especially service at a place like Pacific O.

The service once we were seated was fantastic!!!!! The food was phenomenal!!!! The only issue was being seated. We were the first people to walk in the door once they opened and we along with another couple that also had reservations were told that they would be back to seat us once they seated the people without reservations. I thought that was backwards. Those of us with reservations should be seated first.

This is a lovely little restaurant with very good prices for Maui where it is very expensive to eat out. The ambiance is great; it’s not crowded or noisy and the back room windows look out into a beautiful, tropical garden area. Our server was very good and very pleasant. The menu us big, food was tasty and potions were very large. It was one of our best meals while in Maui. We will return again and I would not hesitate to recommend this one to others.

My son and I are long time customers of Casanovas here in Makawao, over 10 years. We are getting back into our old Sunday evening family dinners there since Covid. We were going every Sunday prior to Covid. Everything was the same even our old table in front of the gardens. The only complaint I have is that the prices of course went up which I don’t mind. However I did notice that less seafood was in our favorite dish, which was disappointing. Also having to pay for bread now was as well. We still love the experience though.

The BEST Italian food I ever had! House made pasta was so good, delicate and fresh, the sauce and meat! Really good. 10/10 I would go back everyday if I could! My wife and I went for our honeymoon and also ordered cocktails and the fried artichoke appetizer that was also delicious!

Excellent Italian restaurant upcountry, mostly locals. Fantastic service, food is pretty amazing. Love that they have the calamari steak and not rings. So tender and the breading is seasoned to perfection!

We have been to Maui several times and always include this restaurant as a must on any trips to Maui. This was our first trip back to Maui since Covid and we were glad to see they are still in business. If you love Italian food be sure to come here - it won’t disappoint

It’s so loud during regular dinner hour we were not able to have a conversation during dinner. There was no music just all normal dinner hour. The acoustics are horrible. We felt like we left a rock concert when we walked out. Ears hurt.
