Casa Verona - Dallas

This place was pretty empty for a Saturday night, and I cannot understand why! It was such a fun date night spot, with great food, service, and drinks (definitely recommend the Italian Margarita!). We will definitely be back and already know what we plan to order :)

First time to visit. A pleasant surprise. Nice ambiance. Service was fine, although the server said she was new. However she was courteous and tried hard. The food was the real winner. Our party ordered different items and were very impressed with each dish.

Was looking for a restaurant in the area and found Casa Verona. What a welcome surprise. Excellent service and amazing food. Will definitely be going again.

Food was very bland. Very small portions compared to what you are paying for.

Cons:

--30 minutes to place initial appetizer order
--15 minutes more to place dinner order
--food was warm at best
--lamb chops extremely small and overcooked horribly
--did not allow for testing wine bottle before pouring
--once food arrived, no further service
--live music night did not allow for visiting at table
--wine grossly overpriced

Completely awesome food and experience! I would like to publicize these positive reviews, more, but I'm afraid if more people knew about this place, we wouldn't be able to get in there :)

A welcome change from the typical red/white checkered tablecloth pizza joint. The dishes are pleasingly somewhat different. I love that they put chopped black olives on the Caprese salad.

Nice dinner in Dallas. The food is amazing. HUGE portions. You can share a lot! The restaurant is pretty loud! The staff was. Wry attentive and nice. We will go back. The calzone will feed 3 people! I hope they do outdoor seating this spring!

The beef lasagna and chicken souvlaki were amazing! Great service and quality of food!

Portion sizes and overall food was wonderful. DId a good job on the Carbonara
and tender chicken in another entre. Overall nice evening - would go back for sure.

It is a very nice and warm environment, and when you walk in you smell the food that is being cooked! It is a wonderful smell!!!! Clean and friendly environment! Now I did give it a 3 star for service because it only had one server, and had it not been for the owner, who served us, we would've gotten up and left! He was very kind and a gracious host! I want to go back and try some other dishes on the menu! I do recommend this restaurant and take a date!

My son took his GF for Valentine’s Day dinner. He said the food was delicious and they had a great dinner. He did say it was really quiet and not very busy.

Great new restaurant with both Green and Italian dishes. Our party loved both including the appetizers and sangria. Try the baked feta appetizer for something different. The homemade warm bread was wonderful as well. Would definitely recommend.
They are sort of hidden - facing a grassy courtyard area behind Snooze on Walnut Hill but it makes it all the more special as you sit and look out the large glass windows.

Me and my party all enjoyed the food and the ambiance. Our server was very personable, friendly, and attentive. We all enjoyed the evening here and are looking forward to coming here again.

This was our second visit. The food was good and the service much improved from our previous visit. It was a bit on the loud side, but overall we enjoyed it and will probably return.

Great quick spot for a business lunch. Had the Greek salad with chicken and it was filling and good.

Very good pizza - veggie and beef. Really liked the chat in the crust. The Greek salad was ok. The chunks of cucumber and tomato were a bit large. Pita bread was delicious. The rest of our apps were a bit disappointing. The waiter tried hard but disappeared for stretches of time. Pretty restaurant although a bit hard to find on the north side of The Hill. Will definitely return for the pizza.

Unfortunately, a disappointment. The pizza was pretty good but appetizers and other entrees were very disappointing. Atmosphere is not warm or inviting - too bright and nothing special. If you want a pretty good pizza, this is one option.

Expected better food...aybe bc it's new. Hopefully it makes it.

Our go-to place to take out-of-town guests. Chef Wally is cool. He will explain everything at your table. Everyone was very pleased. Fresh and delicious.

Food was great. Service was awful. We waited almost an hour for our food and then one of the people in our party’s food came cold.
